Month: February 2017

Kudos to Kahr Firearms’ fast service.

Three days ago (2/15) I posted about the follower in one of my mags going to pieces.  I had gone online and ordered a couple of replacements plus a cool cap that was on sale. To my surprise and joy, FedEx came by  noonish and now I again have a working magazine.

That was fast service. I would have been happy if had gotten it by Monday as I was expecting it. Instead they surprised the hell out of me with their efficiency.

Well done and thank you very much, Kahr.

Getting Robespierred.

I define Getting Robespierred at being destroyed (politically or otherwise) by the same Revolution you worked so hard for and became an elite member of it. Back in the Ice Ages when they taught actual history, I had a good teacher who gave us the run down about the French revolution with warts and all. One of the things that is still fresh in my mind was one Maximilien François Marie Isidore de Robespierre or Robespierre for short.

Maxi was part and parcel of the French Revolution and most important, what came after: The Committee Of Public Safety and The Reign Of Terror.  I urge you to find info on your own, but basically the “winners” of the revolution decided to start killing those they hated and when they ran out of those, they decided to brand others (who were either not involved in anything or were members of the cause, but not liked much) as enemies and come after them.

As shit happens, Robespierre eventually found himself in the “naughty list” and a patrol was sent to arrest him and take him to the guillotine. In the process, some say he tried to shot himself while others say it was one of the arresting parties that shot him. Either way, we was not killed, but the bullet removed his lower jaw.  He was arrested and had to wait without a mandibule for the next day to be executed.

Revolutions and revolutionaries are always covered in a heroic mystique, but history constantly shows otherwise and a lot of “icons” end up killed by their own.

I am bringing this because a well-know and (up till last Friday) admired and beloved Liberal is being roasted by its own: Bill Maher. You see, Maher had the audacity to bring Milo Yianoppolous to his show for an interview and instead of going ISIS on his ass and beheading him on the spot, he had the balls to sit down, talk to the guy, agree on a couple of points and disagree on most.  The Liberal world lost its shit and now Bill Maher apparently is a Quisling, unworthy of exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide.

I do enjoy how they go after each other with sheer fury. I understand that they dogmatic when people deviate of the rules, but the issue with these morons is that they change the rules and parameters every other week and do not send the memo to everybody. Eventually you are bound to screw up and will be thrown to the Pitchfork and Torches Club.

And I really have no problem if they thin their own herds. It saves me in ammo and sweat.

Teachers will be forced to carry a gun according to Moms Demand.

At least that is what you get from reading the comments from a Facebook post:

I selected three of the comments as representative of the general tone. Let’s take them one at the time.

Jeanie Helde Moen I do not have a problem with a school police officer or a trained security guard carrying a gun. Trust me ,do not put guns into the hands of the teachers. I was one.

OK what does she knows about teachers we don’t? What kind of secret life or disability do all teachers have that makes them unqualified to be trained with a firearm.

Rachel Lillian Reed Teachers were trained to teach not to shoot. I’d quit before being required to carry a gun. Not everyone is comfortable with guns. Teachers aren’t police officers….carrying a gun shouldn’t be required in order to be a teacher.

Yo Rachel! Nobody is forcing anybody to carry a gun in school. However they are forcing people to be disarmed in school because “it is safer.”

Richard Martin Police officers are regularly trained in the use of firearms, yet they make mistakes and innocent bystanders get shot. Teachers beg for training in reading, writing, and math, but are often short-changed because there’s no money, no substitutes, no (fill in the blank). No teacher should believe that there would be training commensurate with the responsibility. Besides, I can just see students getting hold of a teacher’s weapon, some teacher who shouldn’t be in the classroom using a weapon to threaten a student, and classrooms getting broken into by crooks looking for weapons. No thanks.

I have to take this one in sections:

  • Police officers are regularly trained in the use of firearms, yet they make mistakes and innocent bystanders get shot.
Nope, they get training at the academy and, if the department has money, they get to re-qualify once every 6 months, but more likely once a year.
  • Teachers beg for training in reading, writing, and math, but are often short-changed because there’s no money, no substitutes, no (fill in the blank)
What do you mean teachers need training in the basic shit they are supposed to teach? If you can’t read or do basic math, WTF are you doing teaching?
  • No teacher should believe that there would be training commensurate with the responsibility.
I don’t even know what this means.
  • I can just see students getting hold of a teacher’s weapon.
You know, your portrayal of teachers as ignorant is making me believe this part.
  • some teacher who shouldn’t be in the classroom using a weapon to threaten a student,
Again, what is going on with teachers that we should know about?
  • and classrooms getting broken into by crooks looking for weapons.
You do know the difference between CARRY and STORING, right?

Homeschooling looks better and better everyday

Antifa Gun and Ball Club.

Kevin C. gave me a heads up about our It’s Going Down friends suddenly discovering the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. (I am not linking to the assholes)

The forced poses of most of them are hilarious, a couple seem to know at least how to hold a rifle. And you can tell who got there last because he is holding the baseball bat.

But the biggest schadenfreude of all has to be this:

“The United States Supreme Court has said that the Second Amendment enshrines the right of individuals to possess a firearm in their home for self-defense. That sounds nice and expansive, but as radicals are well aware, rights are seldom so absolute. So what are your rights with respect to possessing, purchasing, carrying and using firearms? What are some of the laws that restrict those rights?

“Firearms laws are complicated, change often, and vary significantly from state to state and even city to city. (Unfortunately, one of the best resources for more information on state gun laws is the NRA website).

Is there an instrument available in this planet to be able to cut through the irony of that last statement? Sadly, they promptly revert to the Narrative and shoot themselves in the nether regions:

“In this white supremacist, capitalist, hetero-patriarchy, people who don’t fit the typical profile of “legal gun owner” (basically anyone who doesn’t outwardly present as a middle-class white male) will likely encounter particular suspicion, scrutiny, or hostility for exercising their gun rights.

Well, I am all for an enemy making a mistake and I have no need to stop them. By the way, red and green, both dots and laser look great over black clothing.
