Lucy McBath wants exclusivity on waving the Bloody Shirt.

As Florida state Representative James W. Grant argued on Wednesday in favor of expanding Florida’s already deadly Stand Your Ground law, he invoked Trayvon Martin and the name of my son, Jordan Davis. He used my son’s name to claim that the system was working—that the fact that my son’s killer is now spending life in prison after claiming self-defense and citing the Stand Your Ground law means that Florida’s Stand Your Ground law doesn’t get in the way of justice being served.

Here’s my message for Representative Grant: Don’t you dare use my son’s name to justify your support for this reckless bill. As Representative Grant knows, I testified against the bill and expanding Stand Your Ground in Florida. I did so in hopes of protecting children like my son.

JORDAN DAVIS’S MOTHER: DON’T USE MY SON’S DEATH TO EXPAND STAND YOUR GROUND – Newsweek.

I am sorry, but Rep. Grant is right: The system did work. Michael Dunn is serving Life plus 90 years after invoking Stand Your Ground first and then Self-Defense and neither the Judges nor the jury did not buy it.

The paranoid in me (and he is a healthy bastard) cannot help but think that it is not only Stand Your Ground which is being attacked, but the whole Self-Defense concept. Imagine the power that the State would have if even Castle Doctrine is nullified and we are forced to apply Duty to Retreat even in our homes.  If you are saying “There he goes confusing SYG with Castle Doctrine, damn it! They are two different things!” Yes, both are different, but politicians and the Media always seem to accidentally on purpose make it look as they are the same thing and I have to go with the side of they doing it knowingly and it is not a simple “mistake.”

And a PS to Ms McBath: If you use your kid’s name for political purposes and diminish my rights, you lose the moral exclusivity on the use of such name.

Mom Demands Activist compares Second Amendment with gassing children.

True, as these days Moms Demand Action is still fighting for gun safety laws, Gov. Terry Branstad has reduced treatment for mental illness, and President Donald Trump signed a law permitting the mentally ill to purchase weapons.

This week, after seeing small children dying in Syria, convulsing in death, foaming from their mouths, the world recoiled in horror and grief. As the politicians feign outrage, I wonder if the vision will make any difference.

Will seeing horror in Syria make any difference? – The Des Moines Register

This is the kind of crap that even when it pisses me off, I welcome. It can only help when idiots like Ms. Bagg would accuse Gun Owners (which include her family, friends and neighbors) of crimes against humanity.

We do not need to call her an idiot, she is doing that job herself.

The truth is rather simple.

If there wasn’t an agenda at Google and YouTube, this would be a simple issue for advertising.  Television managed to solve it decades ago, there’s nothing new about matching ads to the content and viewers.

YouTube simply wants there to be zero gun content on their platform, and it’s so damn obvious it’s sad.

YouTube Financing – The Abode of McThag.

I have not used this phrase in a while because I thought we were becoming mainstream. And we are mainstream, we are just not palatable to certain “illuminated” people from the Left Coast and the “Improved” Internet.

We are the New Negroes.

We are not fit to sit at their lunch counters or use their bathrooms.

Fuck them, we are sitting and pissing.

OK people! First Unload Then Rack.

Seriously, it is not that hard to remember and do!

And why would you be dumb enough to aim the gun in the general direction of people?

I am a proponent of the Three Racks. When clearing a semi-auto weapon, remove the magazine/clip and rack the slide or bolt three times.  If you happen to forget to unload the magazine, the ejecting shells will be a good hint that gun is still loaded!

And for the love of God, do a visual check for empty chamber!

These do not go out of style. Don’t be a tactical Douchebag and ignore them.

UPDATE: Tom W. gave me another mantra: “Check by sight and feel” meaning the make sure the chamber is empty by not only looking but by inserting a finger in the chamber.  Good strategy.

In other news, “Check by sight and feel” also works when meeting women at seedy bars in the wee hours of the night.

Fake News Alert: Newsday warns of National Open Carry Reciprocity Bill…say what?

How scare and how full of crap do you have to be to come up with a federal bill that does not exist?

But when the prosecutor himself has no problem lying about the details of the bill in a press conference, why wouldn’t Newsday make up stuff?

“(Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R.) Vance said someone from Vermont, “where there are no permit requirements, could come into New York City with a loaded gun, come to Times Square, go to the subways and be amongst us in our communities.”

And apparently people from Vermont are bloodthirsty assholes that will mow down innocent New Yorkers for just looking at them funny. Who knew they were so violent up there in The Green Mountain State? And one more thing Cyrus… read the effing bill: you need a permit for National Reciprocity, you moron…wait, he knows that, but his target audience doesn’t so bullshit is allowed and indicated.

“NYPD officers would be powerless to arrest and charge that person because possession of a gun would be legal in Vermont, he said.”

This is just too stupid to even reply to it.

“This obviously is bigger than a city issue, bigger than a state issue, it is a national issue,” said Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas. “This bill must be defeated, it simply will cost lives if it passes.”

I don’t think people in NY State would give a shit if thugs beating the crap of an elderly man in the subway suddenly stopped breathing altogether because a tourist (or even a native) gave him a remedial lesson on manners.  Dear Ms. Singas: When you side with the criminals, it is time to resign to the office of District Attorney. But then again, criminals keep you in business, right?

And as I always have to ask: If your cause is righteous, Why lie?
