Wild Wild Gun Free Zone West: 40 to 60 teens swarm train, hold up riders.

BART police are beefing up patrols at Oakland stations after dozens of juveniles terrorized riders Saturday night when they invaded the Coliseum Station and commandeered at least one train car, forcing passengers to hand over bags and cell phones and leaving at least two with head injuries.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Witnesses told police that 40 to 60 juveniles flooded the station, jumped the fare gates and rushed to the second-story train platform. Some of the robbers apparently held open the doors of a Dublin-bound train car while others streamed inside, confronting and robbing and in some cases beating riders. “I’ve been there 24 years and this is the first time I’ve heard of anything like this happening,” said Keith Garcia, a BART police officer and union president.

Paying the merest of attentions to the comings and goings of the city of Oakland, one soon realizes that it is the culmination of the best (worst) liberal policies you can find anywhere. Gangs do their trade almost unmolested by the police, rioters can pretty much vandalize what they want and police probably gets punished if a “misunderstood angel” gets as much as a finger nail broken during an arrest.  Basically the odds are stacked in favor of the bad guys

I don’t buy the surprise about the attack. Maybe the mass-gathering is something somewhat new to that particular day, but the BART system and that particular section has long had well-known troubles. This is from December 22, 2014 :

•Bay Fair, Hayward, Fruitvale, Concord and North Concord/Martinez stations were the top five stations for violent crime per capita in 2014.•Bay Fair, El Cerrito del Norte, Hayward and Civic Center joined Powell to round out the list of five stations with the most violent crimes in total.•Civic Center, Coliseum, Bay Fair and Pittsburg/Bay Point followed Powell as the stations with the most calls for police help.•The worst station for theft in 2014 was Hayward, followed by Coliseum, Fremont, Pittsburg/Bay Point and San Leandro. Coliseum Station was the undisputed leader in vehicle thefts, well ahead of the other 33 stations with parking lots or garages. But Jennings expects that may change. The Coliseum lots have been surrounded with security fencing, he said, and an officer is stationed full time at the station or inside its lots.

So they know those stations are dangerous, but they are simply overwhelmed by stupidity and the user are defenseless  against the Bad Guys that somehow do not understand that laws ought not to be broken. Imagine that!

But it is them states with lax gun laws that are the problem.

Dear Moms Demand: Depends on your meaning of “visible.”

VISIBLE
[viz-uh-buh l]
adjective
1.
that can be seen; perceptible to the eye:
mountains visible in the distance.

Going on past behavior, I don’t think we will get a close up, but more of a distance thing.
Now, remember that Shannon Watts has political aspirations and needs to make and “entrance” so she may actually attempt to be within two blocks of the NRA AM.  Also remember that Dana Loesch wants to have a nice discussion with her for the past 3 years or so and Shannon takes off at the sight of Ms. Loesch while her bodyguards play block.

Anyway, if you are going, be polite with the Moms and invite them over to see the Gun Family together having fun.

Pushing all the buttons

An LGBT theater company is doing a gay version of the bible called “The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.

It’s their right.   I’m not going to stop them.   The thing is, it’s boring.  It’s not brave to tease Christians, they don’t get violent with you when you mock their religion.  The Left doesn’t like them.  No one in high society will defend them.

Counting coup was a Native American tradition of showing bravery by touching an enemy before striking them.

This sort of thing is like counting coup with a golden retriever.  Not dangerous at all.

I’m inspired to get a theater off Broadway and do a show I’ll advertise as “the next Book of Mormon.”

It will be a comedy about the Sunni-Shia schism in Islam, done as a comedy based on the idea that the schism was the result of jealousy in a gay love triangle between the founders of each sect and Muhammed.

Of course Muhammed will be as effete a gay stereotype as I can make him.

For some reason I doubt the NYT will call it “brave” even though I’d have to spend the rest of my life in hiding afterwards.

National Reciprocity is the end of times according to the Albany Times.

It seems that H.R.38 – Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 will bring fire and brimstone to the Empire State plus the fall of Western Civilization as we know it. At least that was the editorial of the Times Union.

“Now some Republicans want to effectively wipe out state laws on concealed handguns altogether.”
Wishful thinking for all of us, but it won’t happen yet. National Constitutional Carry is still some ways to come.

On its face, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017, sponsored by Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., would let people who are allowed to carry a concealed firearm in one state carry it in any other state. A closer look shows this bill would gut the ability of states like New York to stem the proliferation of concealed guns.
Well, that is the idea, right? And if New York was serious about stemming the proliferation of concealed guns, they’d simple make it illegal to carry concealed. Oh you mean the criminals carrying a concealed weapon? It is already illegal in New York, isn’t? Not doing a bit of good either.

The act would allow anyone to carry a gun concealed in any state if they “carry a valid concealed carry permit issued by, or be eligible to carry a concealed firearm in, his or her state of residence.” It would also end gun-free school zones.
What the hell did I just read? The elimination of Gun Free Zones sure as hell it is not in the bill. Did they legalize pot for “medical reasons” in Albany and I was not informed?

What that means is that some people wouldn’t need a permit at all, if they live in one of the 12 states that allow concealed carry without a permit.
No, seriously, this idiots purveyors of fake news did not even bother to read the bill and are making shit as they go.

This would effectively reduce handgun control in America to the least common denominator, negating the more stringent rules in states like New York.
Stringent rules as in $6,000 worth of bribes to get a NY License, right? I do believe that politicians hate Shall Carry laws is because it has destroyed graft and corruption around the permitting system.

It does not bother me anymore that the media lies. But I do believe that at least some modicum of writing style has to be preserved and not just throw words on paper hoping your readers are too dumb to double-check. Finesse the lie, use fancy words like allegedly, hint rather that titillate.

I guess we can say with certainty that Albany’s Time Union is a member of the:

Because I don’t feel safe

I haven’t heard from Cocks Not Glocks in a while.  I figured the vacuousness of their stupidity had caused them to collapse.

I was wrong.  They are back with this stupid video.

According to their founder, Jessica Jin:

“I think the issue is the normalization of violence. Rather than actually taking any serious steps towards addressing why students are so scared to go to school every day without a gun, we’re just talking about creating more violence, which is not a transformative or restorative solution whatsoever.”

Of course the bloodbath they these people prognosticate will happen when “‘virtually anyone with a license’ [is allowed to] to bring a gun on to school grounds,” never happens.

But to answer her rhetorical question “why students are so scared to go to school every day without a gun?”

“It’s people like you.”

Antisemitism on college campuses is up 45%, with some anti-Israel protests turning violent.

There are professors who make publish OpEds that “It’s Okay To Hate Republicans.”  Professors who get violent with students who support Trump.  Professors who call for the mass murder and collective punishment of Republicans.

There is Antifa on college campuses threatening violence and beating people with bike locks (this one may in fact be a Professor too), bottles, and sticks.  There are college Socialist groups creating “fight clubs” to “bash the fash,” meaning Republicans in general and Trump supporters in particular.

To top it all off, there was the mob violence of the “Battle of Berkeley.”

So you want to know why I want to carry a gun on college campuses.

Because I am a free speech-supporting, pro-Israel,  Jewish Republican, who won’t apologize for my straight, white privilege.

Or according to your people, a racist, homo/trans-phobic, fascist, genocidal, apartheid-supporting  Nazi who deserves to get bashed (possibly to death).

It is no exaggeration to say that on some college campuses I am behind enemy lines, if not completely in the belly of the beast.  After watching the Berkeley police stand down during the riots, I know that if a few Love-Trumps-Hate-Progressives try to kick my teeth in for having the audacity to believe in the principle “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,” the cops won’t be jumping in to save me.

I have to be ready to protect myself from the likes of you.

Now that I say that out loud, makes perfect sense why you want to ban guns on campus.

It makes it easier for your masked compatriots to kick my teeth in.

California Culture

I caught a documentary on the History Channel, LA Riots: 25 Years Later.

It was fascinating.

Here is the trailer (it actually premiered April 23rd)

Early on in the documentary, it was discussed how the police were told to pull back or stand down.

It was felt that during the Watts Riots in 1965, the presence of police antagonized the crowds and made the riots worse.  The decision was made to hold the police back and allow the people to vent their frustration and not have the police exacerbating the tension on by arresting those throwing rocks or engaged in minor crimes.

The result of allowing the riots to get out of hand was over 50 dead, 2,000 wounded, and $1 BILLION in property damage.

As it turns out, when dealing with a riot, it is like dealing with a wildfire.

You put it out while it is small, before it spreads and burns down the whole forest.  Assuming that it will burn out on its own is just inviting disaster.

Think about that lesson learned in 1992 when you read that Berkeley police had a stand down order when it came to campus speaker riots.

Lets be clear.

This:

Causes this:

California had three chances to learn this, 1965, 1992, and now 2017.

They won’t.  They are blinded by ideology.  Maintaining law and order in The Golden State is not part of how they do things.
