Back in June, reporter Gretchen Rachel Hammond broke the news that the Chicago Dyke March had kicked out a number of Jewish lesbians for displaying the Star of David.  Their excuse was that it was triggering to some people and the dyke march stood for a free Palestine, and they weren’t antisemitic, just anti-Zionist.

In the real world, we call that “new antisemitism.”

The story get so much worse from there.

The award winning journalist got fired shortly after her report on the Dyke March.

It came out today that the organizers of the Dyke March pushed for her firing.

This was the official response from the Dyke March.

I was taught to never hit a woman.

I was also taught to shoot just in case “they” ever came for us [Jews] again.

I’m going to have to figure out where proudly antisemitic lesbians fit into that paradox.

In the mean time, might I suggest a new logo for the Dyke March.  I think this is more fitting.

It wasn’t old age, or disease: A “bluish foreign body” that was found in an English woman’s eye turned out to be a mass of contact lenses, surprising medical staff who were preparing the woman, 65, for routine cataract surgery. They report pulling 27 lenses from the woman’s eye.

Morjaria says she and her colleagues were startled to find 17 contact lenses clumped together as they were injecting anesthesia into the woman’s eye at Solihull Hospital, southeast of Birmingham. They then recovered another 10 lenses. Part of their surprise, she said, was because the patient hadn’t complained of any irritation.

Both my mom and dad had cataract surgery in both eyes. I had to drive them back and forth prior to the surgery for all the tests and check ups which included some close examinations with machines and the doctor’s own eyes.

This is one that we should seriously think about. Narcan is available in many states (Florida included) as Over The Counter medication  and it has a shelf life of 18 to 24 months. I checked with Greg and he said his Narcan pamphlet says it shouldn’t be kept above 85 degrees but he is sure his patrol car got hotter. However, we down here in beautiful SoFla would almost double that in a nice sunny summer day, so I am gonna go with the idea of keeping it indoors or in the car only when the AC is running.

Although not the perfect solution by far, Body Cams for police officers have been a great resource to get facts and set the narrative straight from the media avalanche of bull that usually follows a “controversial” shooting. Same as dash cams many years ago, those who demanded the cameras the most, ended up hating the darned things because they  no longer were able to lie as freely as before to get political advantage.

One of the groups demanding a bigger “accountability” for cops is Black Lives Matter and all the other racially motivated groups that are now under the umbrella The Movement for Black Lives feeding on the “Popo just killing innocent black men because racist pigs!”

Interesting enough, if you were to visit their site  and read where it says “End the War on Black People.” your jaw will surely drop when you read one of their demands on particular:

Yes! They do not want cops to be wearing Body Cams anymore! Because racism! Or because more often than not, body cams have shown that the claims issued by BLM are full of shit.

There is n o doubt that police departments are getting smarter about Social Media and understand the concept of Fake Media. I suspect that many timely releases of Body Cam video depend on the relationship they have with local paper and TV stations and if it is not the best, they will wait till they slip the noose around their own necks before pulling the rope tight and making them look like fools and liars.

I saw this picture from the Women’s March against the NRA.

That is their slogan: “No one is safe unless everyone is safe.”

Can somebody tell me what the hell that means?

It is meaningless, feel-good drivel.  It makes no logical sense.

There are no guarantees in life, but when I lived in the Chicago Suburbs, I lived in a night neighborhood of other professional, middle and upper middle class homeowners.  Naperville, IL, was ranked as American’s safest city.    In 2015, Chicago had 509 homicides, Naperville had zero.

It wasn’t about guns or the NRA that made that happen.

Some gang member in Chicago wasn’t less safe because I had a handgun in Naperville.

Let’s look at the UK for a moment.  They banned guns.  They have all but banned knives.  Now the UK has had almost 500 acid attacks in 2015.  Unable to arm themselves with traditional weapons, those intent on doing harm have taken to throwing battery acid from auto parts stores and drain cleaner in people’s faces.  Now the UK wants restrict the purchase and possession of those chemicals.

It should be noted that the increase in acid attacks in the UK coincides with the increase in Middle Eastern “refugees” and that acid throwing is a common occurrence in Islamic countries, particularly against women.   Linda “Jihad against Trump” Sarsour’s extended family is really enriching the culture of the UK.

These women can march against the NRA all they want, but they are not making me safer.

They are not doing anything to stop the criminal culture in Chicago, Acid throwing around the world, Female Genital Mutilation in Michigan.

What they are doing is trying to make it more unsafe for me by restricting my ability to carry for self defense.

This is safety socialism.  These elites get to keep their armed guards and the rest of us are left to the mercy of predators with nothing more than meaningless slogans about equality to defend ourselves with.
