The Santa Fe, Texas, high school shooting set off another round antics by the celebrities and politicians on the Left who feel the best thing to do after a situation like this is the collective punishment of everyone who was not involved.
The shooter in Santa Fe sent up red flags, but not as many and different kinds.
He went from a church going honor student to wearing a trench coat with extreme political pins all the time. He was reportedly bulled by students and a coach. He studied previous mass shooters. He wasn’t in trouble like Nikolas Cruz, but these kinds of behaviors should have tipped people off in a post Columbine America.
School security was also lacking with the school having multiple uncontrolled access points. For pointing this out, the Sheriff was mocked and criticized by the media.

Apparently it’s a better and easier option to ban guns from law abiding citizens than improve security to a building.
Senator Chris Murphy, who is being groomed for a presidential run, decided to give his opinion on how the Bill of Rights actually gives the government the power to deny civil liberties.
I support the real 2nd Amendment, not the imaginary 2nd Amendment.
And the real #2A isn’t absolute. It allows Congress to wake up to reality and ban these assault rifles that are designed for one purpose only – to kill as many people as fast as possible.

To a thinking person, this would seem to fly in the face of Heller, but several lower courts in Blue country have upheld AWBs a constitutional.
Keep in mind that the Santa Fe shooter took a .38 cal revolver and pump action shotgun, like the kinds these politicians promise never to ban, from his dad who legally purchased them. So what a universal background check or AWB would have done here is … fuck all nothing.
My hope is that the conservative members of SCOTUS are waiting for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to die or become incapacitated and then will take up a 2A case, with the deck firmly stacked in their favor, and declare both CCW and assault weapons 2A protected and go all Obergefell mandating shall issue CCW reciprocity and an end to AWBs.
A man can dream.
Jimmy Kimmel came and just shilled for the Democrats and Everytown rather than tell jokes. He’s crossed the Rubicon from entertainer to late night political activist.

More Hollywood celebs fully admit that the goal is to take away your guns.

The media has so saturated the news with these events that they have convinced kids that the unlikely is inevitable.
The reporter, Foti Kallergis, found himself interviewing a seventeen-year-old girl named Paige Curry, who had been in a classroom three doors down from the shooting when it began. Concentrating on the memory, her chin tucked in, Curry recalled for the camera the experience of taking shelter with her theatre class, of waiting for the swat team while people around her freaked out, of feeling herself steady amid vulnerability and chaos. The reporter asked, “Was there a part of you that thought this isn’t real, this wouldn’t happen in my school?”
“No, there wasn’t,” she said, lifting her chin to look at Kallergis. The reporter asked her why she thought that. “It’s been happening everywhere. I’ve always kind of felt like eventually it was going to happen here, too.”
I bet she texts and drives though. That is because the media sends out stories like this horse shit.
2018 has been deadlier for schoolchildren than service members
Except that we are out of Iraq and Afghanistan in terms of major combat operations.
Even in the article itself, was forced to admit that the statistics were not on its side.
The figures for 2018 do not suggest schools are more dangerous than combat zones. After all, there are more than 50 million students in public elementary and high schools and only about 1.3 million members of the armed forces. So far in 2018, a member of the military has been about 40 times as likely to be killed as someone is to die in a school shooting, including Keller’s revised figures.
But that’s halfway through the article and a person only needs to read the headline to get their daily dose of ignorant rage.
We are going into 2018 and 2020 with a Democrat platform of “we hate Trump and we’re going to take your guns away because of it.”
I have a feeling that is not going to end as well for them as they’d like. Then they will double down.
This shit is going to get rougher and rougher until it breaks. I don’t know when that will happen or what it will look like but I promise you it won’t be good.
