So I’ve been thinking about that SpaceX thing.  What’s the harm in doing an interview.

Then I looked at California gun laws for real.

Fuck.  That.  State.

Pursuant to Penal Code sections 17000 and 27560, any person who moves into California with a firearm is considered a “Personal Firearm Importer” and is required by California law to do one of the following within 60 days:

Complete and submit a New Resident Report of Firearm Ownership (BOF 4010A), pdfalong with $19.00 to the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Firearms;Sell or transfer the firearm to a California licensed firearms dealer or to another individual using a California licensed firearms dealer to conduct the transaction; orSell or transfer the firearm to a California police or sheriff’s department. Persons choosing this option should contact the law enforcement agency for instructions prior to transporting the firearm to the agency.

In Illinois I had to get a FOID before possessing my guns, but a least I didn’t have to sell them to a dealer and buy them back to get them.  With my FOID I could just bring them across from Indiana in my truck.

At this point Elon Musk could offer me a million dollars a year and my choice of UCLA coed interns as my own personal dick washer, I still wouldn’t take thr job.

I’d end up in prison as someone else’s dick washer, and I just don’t need that.

As much as I feel for the people trying to have pit bulls adopted, they are doing the breed a great disservice by portraying them as babies, incapable of harming anybody. That means that the “adoptive parents” will treat them (and train them) as humans rather than domesticated predators.

That can backfire rather badly.

I am not saying to mistreat the animal or not love on it, but what you see as “human behavior” is nothing more than our misguided feelings and their learned response to them. “Cutesy pooh” behavior on a dog is simply the response he gives to your specific stimuli and it is not a higher thought process.

Dogs are part of a pack, not a human family. Act and train them accordingly.

Amazing how Anti Gun idiots have guns and behave stupidly with them without thinking they are doing something wrong.

A Mississippi state legislator brandished his handgun Thursday on the House floor in order to make a point about his opposition to a proposed gun-rights bill.

Democratic state Rep. Charles Young Jr. was escorted from the chamber at his request after arguing against House Bill 1083, which would allow permit holders to challenge more easily rules forbidding enhanced-carry, according to Y’all Politics.

As it usually happens when Democrat pulls a stunt like that, the bill in consideration passed by a not-so-narrow margin and a final tally of 80-33.

But what makes this particular incident somewhat remarkable is what the Dem said with a straight face:

Rep. Charles Young Jr., D-Meridian, told his colleagues “let’s grow up,” arguing for the House to amend or kill the bill the House passed Wednesday. To make his point, he displayed his FN pistol and his enhanced concealed carry permit.

Liberal journalist makes the case for campus carry

It’s been a while since I visited the issue of campus carry.

I’ve covered idiot professors claiming that campus carry infringes on free speech because they are afraid that gun carrying, conservative students would hear that Mao was a good guy and shoot up the place.

Of course, what we’ve actually seen is progressive students and student groups threaten conservative students with violence.

This time it was writer* Jesse Farrar who made a clear and compelling case for campus carry.

*Farrar has written articles for garbage online magazines like Deadspin as The Beer Idiot.  Technically, he gets paid to write, so that makes him a writer, but his work, just like soul, is utter shit.

Yes, you read all of that right.  This person is actually advocating that professors murder conservative students over ideological differences.

I see now why professors are scared of campus carry.

Prof: “Mao was the good guy.”

Student: “Professor, Mao starved 50 million people to death and murdered millions more in show trials.”

Prof: *Attempts to murder student for challenging Communist ideology.*

Student: *Shoots professor who is trying to strangle him.*

 

At least Farrar had the balls to admit that he’s for the mass murder of people he disagrees with.  It allows the rest of us to understand exactly what kind of person he is.

Nothing says Progressive like convincing people your ideology is right by filling graves with everybody that disagrees with you.

There are people that say every time Trump says something petulant that Trump is playing 3-D chess while the Democrats are playing checkers.

I can’t always believe that.

Every once in a while, I do believe that Trump is a master level Troll.

This is one of those times.

Trump’s State of the Union was fairly popular.  There were some points in it that were nothing but patriotic pablum.  Something so easy to like that there was no way it could be turned against him

The honoring of Preston Sharp, a boy who planted flags on the grave of veterans, was one of those moments.  Every American should have been able to say “good job Preston.”

The Democrats had their assholes so puckered with #Resistance that they couldn’t even applaud that.

It looked bad.

So… fast forward.  It get’s leaked to the media that Trump wants a military parade.

I honestly doubt that.  His Secretary of Kicking Ass Defense is James Mattis.  Mattis isn’t the parade type.  The parade was never going to happen.

What the news of Trump floating the idea of a parade did was make #Resistance fall all over themselves to #Resist.

Getting MDA founder (and I believe future CO Senate candidate) Shannon Watts to equate the military to neo Nazis.

I think this was all a ploy to get Liberals to #Resist so hard that they made themselves look like the military hating, anti-American nut jobs that they are.

Colorado is big Military state.  The Air Force Academy is in Colorado.  This tweet is going to come back and bite Shannon Watts in the ass, hard, with people.

I honestly believe Trump was baiting these jackasses into doing something stupid and they took it and ran with it.

He may not be playing 3-D chess, but he knows how to make #Resistance expose the awful shittiness within themselves.

That boy ain’t right

This is an excerpt from Nancy Pelosi’s 8 hour rambling yesterday.

I have kids.  I also have younger siblings.

Sometimes kids will do or say things to try to get a parent’s attention.   Kids don’t come out and say “why don’t you love me?”  They will act out in a way to get you to show them attention.

This story that Nancy Pelosi tells (I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt that it’s true) isn’t beautiful, it’s tragic.

This is a little boy who listens to his mom and grandma and the other voices in his world and has come to the conclusion that they don’t love him because he is white.  If only he were brown like his Guatemalan friend, everyone would show him love and attention.

Pelosi’s grandson has ingested the rhetoric and had developed pathology.  All he wants to do is be loved but GamGam loves the brown kids she stands up and defends for 8 hours, not him.

This story has created more white nationalist than anything Trump could have done.

This kid needs some help before he becomes a neo Nazi or overdose in a San Francisco alley.
