The Thin Blue Line was a British police comedy staring Rowan Atkinson – unfortunately known best in America for playing Mr. Bean.
One scene from this show perfectly captures why we stand against “reasonable restrictions on guns.” Because everything they describe as “reasonable” makes law abiding gun owners subjects of a bureaucracy.
In 1995, this may have been a joke. Today in the UK it is real. It is also how may issue states treat CCW and is what anti-gun activists are trying too do to US gun ownership.
Democrats do not have their own version of Joe Arpaio or Don Blankenship or Roy Moore. Our “extremists” just want everyone have education, healthcare, and housing.
Why not ask US Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) why he was at a rally wearing a shirt that says “Yo no creo en fronteras” which translates to “I do not believe in borders.”
I would assume that a US Congressman advocating for the radical position that the most mild allows anybody to enter the US at any time without scrutiny and at the worst calls for the dissolution of nations, would be “extremist.”
Mr. Schatz ignoring the antics of Mr. Ellison tells us one of two things;
He’s blinded to the extremism of his own party because of partisanship
He thinks a world without boarders is not an extreme position
I really hope it is just disingenuous partisan bull-shitting that allows Schatz to ignore Ellison, because the latter is horrifying.
Chelsea Manning vows to eliminate US borders, close prisons and abolish ICE before it commits ‘ethnic cleansing’ as she campaigns for Maryland Senate seat
I guess boarder elimination and abolishing ICE has become a mainstream Democrat position if Schatz can’t call out any Democrat candidate for running on an open boarders/no boarders platform.
Can you say Schadenfreude, boys and girls? An Anti Gun Attorney general who allegedly has assaulted women and is for Gun Control? Because unarmed women make for easier victims.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Moms Demand
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and the Giffords
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and New Yorkers Against Gun Violence
And the cherry a top of the Schadenfreude sundae:
You notice how the same patter repeats itself? Powerful Men for Gun Control abuse women over and over. It is like they knew they can get away with it. It is hard to beat up a woman that can put a couple of rounds in your belly after you dropped our pants and waved your willy at her.
I like Ollie. I liked him since I saw the Iran Contra hearings while I was still living in Venezuela. For the life of me I could not understand why was he being vilified for trying to rescue US citizens from the grasp of the Iranians and why did the US Congress not only did not give a shit about kidnapped Americans but made it almost impossible to rescue them. Hey, I was naïve at the ways and politics of Congress back then and even had a somewhat favorable opinion of Jimmy Carter.
But apparently some in our side do not like Col. North because of “bad optics and that the Opposition will use his past to degrade us. I have news for you Bubba: no matter who we elect, he or she is going to be vilified and us alongside. We can elect Jesus Christ himself to be President of the NRA and the Democrats and the Media will hate him, accuse him of trying to overthrow the Roman Empire, subvert Judaism, make wine without a license and distribute suspicious fish and baked goods. And don’t forget, you have seen me talking about good optics here before, but we have progressed to the fact that we do not need a tamed/vanilla spokesperson for the NRA but somebody with command and respect.
We could have elected David Hogg. I am sure the media would like him as president of the NRA and you would have your “great optics” too.
Bank of America is preparing to provide critical financing to Remington Outdoor, which makes assault-type rifles, just weeks after the bank said it would stop financing “military-style” firearms for civilians.
BofA is contributing $43.2 million to a $193 million lending package funded by seven banks, according to court documents, which will help put Remington back on stable footing as it emerges from bankruptcy later this month into an uncertain environment for gun makers.
This is a major slap in the face to the Gun Control movement. Not a peep from any of the Usual Suspects which is weird because I would expect David Hogg foaming at the mouth.
Something must have clicked very hard behind the scenes at BoA. I am guessing it had to do with other banks not getting into the political BS and backing Remington:
Wells Fargo and Regions Bank are each providing $43.2 million, while Branch Banking and Trust Co., Synovus Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Deutsche Bank are providing smaller amounts.
As usual, I compared the last 2 weekends to serve as reference to the Annual Meeting. I got this map from the Dallas Police Department Crime Report page. These are the numbers as today and I have no idea if they will change in the future.
The circle indicates a 3 mile radius with the center being the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

The numbers I got (as usual, I could be wrong) were: 32 crimes for the weekend of 4/20 to 4/22. Next we have 34 crimes for the weekend of 4/27 to 4/29 and we close with only 20 crimes for the weekend of the NRA Annual Meeting, roughly one-third less crime reported than in the previous 2 weeks.
Tune in again next year to see if finally we have blood in the streets and High Noon shootings at the next NRA Annual meeting in Indianapolis.
A complete AR-15 for under $340. It boggles the mind.
Palmetto State armory is not paying for this (not that I would mind a compete .300 AAC upper as form of payment. Yeah, I know) but I want to propagate AR 15s all over if nothing else to make Liberals go total bunkers.
