That didn’t take long

Earlier today I said that Neil Gorsuch was going to need protection because the language online made it seem like there were those on the radical Left that might want to swing the balance of the Supreme Court with violence.

I saw this only a few hours later.

The original Tweet was deleted, for obvious reasons, but screen grabs are forever.  This guy writes for Esquire.

That is the kind of statement that could drive someone into doing something very, very stupid.

That may be the most glaring Tweet on the subject I’ve seen today, but there have been many that beat around the bush in their intent.

“Any tactic that reduces that power”

After claiming that Trump is running a Junta he uses the phrase “any tactic.”  Really?

The definition of Junta is “a small group ruling a country, especially immediately after a coup d’état and before a legally constituted government has been instituted.

Not the winning side in a free and fair election, but that really doesn’t matter because this guy is operating outside of objective reality.

To him “unchecked power” means that SCOTUS sided with Trump in a decision made the same way the court has made decisions since Marbury v. Madison, 215 years ago.

This Tweet is a tacit call for violence, and giving the timing, against the Supreme Court.

If you thought Maxine Waters’ call for shaming of Trump officials was bad, Congressman and Jew hater Keith Ellison going nuts on CNN is worse.

“Steal and rip off a Supreme Court justice” is a language that encourages people in the worst way and targets Gorsuch specifically.

I’ve heard the word “civility” a lot in the last few days.  This isn’t about “civility.”  This is about not encouraging radical people to assassinate Supreme Court Justices because you don’t like the way they interpreted the law.

I’m afraid someone is going to take a shot at Gorsuch before long.

What happens next is anybody’s guess.

The protest against Hawaii v. Trump

The hashtag #NoMuslimBanEver is trending because of the Hawaii v. Trump decision.

If I went by what the Left is saying, American customs agents can now ask people getting off planes in the US if they are Muslim and arrest them on the spot for it.  If they say “no,” customs can pull out a paint swatch and arrest anybody darker than the allowable tint on suspicion of being Muslim.

If I went by the SCOTUS decision, the President has the right to restrict non-citizens or legal aliens from entering the United States from nations that have such poor security that it’s not possible to separate terrorists from the other citizens.  Six of eight of these nations are Islamic, we are engaged in armed conflict in two of them and one is the worlds largest state sponsor of terror.

Going through Twitter on this hashtag I noticed a few Tweets that went way past simple accusations of Islamophobia and racism.

From reading this, you’d think that the Constitution didn’t have an Amendment that very specifically enumerated that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Instead the Constitution must have some Amendment that says “the right of any person to enter the United States under any circumstances shall not be infringed.”

Except it doesn’t.

The right that we don’t like and is clearly spelled out you don’t actually have; and the thing we really want but isn’t anywhere in the Constitution (and in fact the opposite might be spelled out) totally is a right.”

Reading comprehension is hard for some.

Racism: Not a White Thing Anymore…actually Ever.

A friend was sharing this in Facebook.

“Chinito” means “Little Chinese man.” And yes, If he looks oriental, Hispanics will tag him with the chino or chinito name.  Former President Alberto Fujimori is o Japanese background, but even he ran his elections under the moniker everybody gave him: “El Chino Fujimori.”

For blacks? Negro. If used in the diminutive (negrito or negrita) it denotes close friendship or romantic involvement. Yes there are insulting terms and they are attached as adjectives to the word.

In Venezuela back when I was growing up, anybody from the Middle East was a “turco” (Turkish) and unidentified foreigners in general are called “Musiu” which is a bastardization of the word monsieur. Every Latin country has its own names and words for people according to race, color and other things.

I do want to warn my fellow Gringos (see what I did there?) to refrain to apply the word Mexican to any Hispanic as they will take it as a personal insult. The same applies if you ask somebody if they are Argentinians (somebody from Chile will probably stab you on the spot).

Just call me American.

Neil Gorsuch better get a Secret Service detail ASAP

The Supreme Court decided Hawaii v. Trump today, 5-4 for Trump.

My non-lawyer understanding of the case is that the President has the right to decide that non-citizens, residing in foreign countries, can be denied entry into the US for security concerns.

In this case, the security concern is that six of the eight countries in question support a pernicious form of ideological driven violence, Islamic Terrorism.  The other two were Venezuela and North Korea.

This lead to this being dishonestly called a “Muslim Ban.”

Cue the freak out on the Left.

There are three Tweets I saw in response that I find very troubling when put together.

https://twitter.com/mattyglesias/status/1011614799015432193

Put them together and you have this basic thought:

Trump stole a SCOTUS seat from Obama and gave it to Gorsuch.  Gorsuch had ruled in the majority against everything the Left loves in all but one case.  It’s time we stop being civil with Gorsuch.”

Given the current political situation and the fact that a SCOTUS Justice can have a career that spans decades (especially a young Justice like Gorsuch) I’m afraid that someone on the radical Left might get the idea to shift the balance of the court by pulling a “Scalise.”

I hate to think like this but I won’t underestimate the craziness of the Left anymore.

For the safety of our nation, Trump needs to get Gorsuch a Secret Service detail ASAP.

“Disney ‘die-in’ protest canceled to avoid ‘trauma’ to kids ” (Bullsh*t)

TALLAHASSEE – Tourists planning an Orlando theme park trip don’t have to worry about stepping around sprawled-out activists after all.
A “die-in” protest at an unspecified Walt Disney Co. property initially planned for June has been called off, a co-founder of a gun control advocacy group said Monday.
“People were saying ‘you’re going to traumatize children,’” said Nurah Abdulhaqq, a Georgia teen who helped start the group, called National Die In. She said she feared a public backlash if the group went forward with the protest.

Disney ‘die-in’ protest canceled to avoid ‘trauma’ to kids

J. Kb. mentioned in another post: If you are in Florida, you know damn well not to Fuck with the Mouse. My take is that they were told something like , “Listen, I understand your zeal, but Disney has zero sense of humor when it comes to shit like this. They own Orange county, will have you arrested and our friends and relatives may be fired or placed in shit jobs. So thank you, but no thank you.”

Disney is like a ruthless mob with cute cartoon characters and princesses .

I think it’s a How To on being a toxic person

Yes, the response has been people mocking it relentlessly.

From the Washington Times:

The multitalented comedian and writer’s “A Better Man” is scheduled to come out in the fall of 2019, Algonquin Books told The Associated Press on Tuesday. The book will be an open letter to his teenage son that calls for “rethinking masculinity” and how to love and be loved.

I’ve covered Michael Ian Black’s twitter temper tantrums here before.

He’s an anti-NRA loon who calls the NRA “terrorists” and says he wants to take our guns from our cold dead hands.  He thinks Trump is Orange Hitler and everybody who supports him in any way is a total Nazi.

He is the very definition of “toxic internet tough guy.”

He’s the Harvey Weinstein of feminists.

He says all the right things on social media so he has bought the virtue signaling indulgences to be a horribly shitty person in real life.

He can be a mean spirited cock because he directs that at gun owners and Conservatives.

This is how he things he can write a book about “toxic masculinity.”

For him, that is holding a door open for a woman and being able to change a tire because those are “traditional” masculine roles and therefore Conservative.

He donates to Planned Parenthood and things the government should provide free tampons to trans women so he’s within his moral right to harass a Republican woman.

His book will be more of a How To than anything else.

“If you don’t sit with your legs spread to wide on a Subway, you can say you hope Trump’s female Press Secretary gets raped.”

This is who he is.

I feel sorry for his son.

A matter of perspective

CBS released this:

That seems high, considering that the list is:

  1. India
  2. Afghanistan
  3. Syria
  4. Somalia
  5. Saudi Arabia
  6. Pakistan
  7. Democratic Republic of Congo
  8. Yemen
  9. Nigeria
  10. United States.

Then you read the details.

Reuters said the U.S. placement on the dubious list was down largely to the #MeToo and Time’s Up campaigns increasing awareness of sexual violence and intimidation of women in the U.S. in the wake of the criminal allegations against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

So it’s not really “United States” so much as it is “Hollywood California, and the entertainment industry and news rooms of New York and DC.”

But for the people who work in the media and conduct those polls, Liberals in Hollywood, New York, and DC are the United States.

I just love the accidental honesty here.  It’s not that the US is dangerous for women as a whole anywhere near the Congo or India.  It’s that the deep blue places where the wealthy Liberals we see on TV live and work that are as full of women beaters and rapists as Yemen and Pakistan.
