Coral Springs Virtue Signaling: No private fireworks to respect MSD Survivors but our show will go on.

Not a joke.

“The violence they experienced is something many families in our community are still working through,” the message said in part. “Triggers – like loud bangs from fireworks – can bring back a flood of memories from an act of violence we all would like to forget.”
The city is holding a pre-planned fireworks event starting at 9 p.m. inside Mullins Park and has set up a text alert system that will send messages to those with PTSD and other noise related disorders alerting them in advance of the display’s start so they can prepare

Coral Springs to Residents: Don’t Use Personal Fireworks Out of Respect For Parkland Shooting Survivors

I have seen some amazingly conceited bullshit before, but this one is making the top 10 easy.  A pack of Black Cats is gonna send somebody into a psychotic event, but literally pounds of black powder exploding very fucking loudly in the air are not going to create mental issues.

Virtue Signaling bullshit.

I need to stop following #secondcivilwar

I can’t handle the stupid from the Left.  It does bad things to my blood pressure.

Really?

Come a Second Civil War the leaders of Florida are David Hogg, Emma Gonzalez, and Cameron Kasky?

The leaders in a civil war are anti-gun activists.

Are they aware of what would happen if a bunch of people who are known for laying down in Publix and chanting in marches go up against people armed with AR-15 in an actual war?

This is a level of stupid I can’t take even as a joke.

The Left shilling for violent criminals against the police again

Remember the post Miguel made yesterday about the great virtue signaling people of Oakland who came out to protest ICE, but all they did is defend a sex trafficking ring that sold children into sex slavery?

Well… virtue signaling Leftists are doing the (nearly) same thing all over again.

A video of an arrest has gone viral.

The video is of a number of cops with their guns drawn arresting an unarmed black woman.

How dare a bunch of cops do that.  There must be no excuse for this but straight up racism.  It doesn’t matter what she did, there is no call for guns to be pointed at a black woman.

See the problem is colonialism and the white supremacism and a whole bunch of other identity politics buzzwords.

And what about this woman’s feelings.  She must have suffered emotional trauma from having cops point guns at her.  She must be embarrassed to have been treated like this in public.

She was unarmed, clearly she was a threat to nobody, this was just brutality.

Seriously, what could that woman have done that warranted such a response from police?  That was unjustifiable.

It must be because she was a black woman driving.

Actually Viral video of woman’s arrest sparks anger, but LAPD says she was involved in violent kidnapping plot.

That’s right, this woman was a suspect in the kidnapping of some minor actors.

3 charged in violent kidnapping of ‘Halloween’ actress, actor

Three suspects were charged Tuesday with kidnapping two people from a Los Angeles home and holding one of them naked in a bathtub for 30 hours while demanding the other pay a $10,000 ransom, prosecutors said.

Keith Andre Stewart, Johntae Jones and Amber Neal were charged with kidnapping, assault with a firearm and other offense in connection with the May 3 incident.

Prosecutors allege the trio went to Daisy McCrackin’s home in South Los Angeles on May 3, where they say Stewart pistol-whipped a man who was in the home, Joseph Capone. The three then placed bags over the two victims’ heads and drove them several miles to Jones’ home in Compton, prosecutors said.

Once they were at Jones’ home, the suspects forced Capone to strip naked and then held him in a bathtub for 30 hours without food, prosecutors allege.

Investigators said Jones and Neal then took McCrackin’s car and drove her to several different banks while demanding she pay $10,000 for Capone’s release. Eventually she was forced to write a $10,000 check to Neal, prosecutors said.

The next day, they brought McCrackin — an actress who has appeared in several films, including the horror flick “Halloween: Resurrection” — back to her home, where she escaped from them and called police, authorities said.

Oh, so this woman was one of thee people who broke into a home, beat two people, kidnapped them, and tortured one while forcing the other to pay $30,000 in ransom.

But God forbid the cops draw guns on her when they arrest her.  It’s not like they knew she at one point had a firearm with her that she used to beat a man who was bounded and hoodwinked.

This is where anti-cop Social Justice is going.  There is no crime so terrible that a cop is ever justified in using force.

It’s sad to say this but this is nowhere near peak SJW.

I swear, within the next year, the cops are going to shoot some homeless junkie while he is actively raping and strangling a woman (probably in a San Francisco BART station) and the SJW mob will somehow claim the shooting was racist.

Stand Your Ground is awful and racist, right?

STAMFORD — A Bridgeport man who was assaulted by three juveniles while he was at work in Norwalk will have to spend 18 months in jail for stabbing one of the attackers.
“I was defending myself,” Jeffrey Sumpter, 21, told Judge John Blawie on Monday morning at the Stamford courthouse when he was sentenced for stabbing one of the males in the leg last October. Blawie told Sumpter that he understood and believed his version of events, but he said he had to follow the letter of the law.

Sumpter, dressed in a white prison jumpsuit with short sleeves, did not reply. His public defender Howard Ehring said unlike a state like Florida, which has a law allowing its residents to stand their ground, Connecticut law requires Sumpter to retreat from the beating he was given at the Dunkin’ Donuts where he worked.

Victim of Norwalk assault gets 18 months for not retreating

Remember what I always say: You do not determine if you retreated enough. That is made by people who are gonna show up after the fact or a prosecutor from the comfort of his office a couple or more days later.

Duty to Retreat is the most imbecilic idea that can be attached to a defensive situation.
