I have been helping with research for a book and I have been perusing old newspaper from 100 years ago and crime-wise, you would be hard-pressed to figure out they are not from this century.

Murder in all shapes and modes. From your simple robbery gone wrong to mass killings. Murder-suicides because of mental illness, hardships and very possibly addiction-induced common as dirt. Robbery-murders? All the time and so ever gruesome like this example.

“Head pounded to a mass of jelly with ice pick.” Holy crap, that is some cruel dedication right there.

Serial Killers? Several with head counts well above the dozen.  So far I read of two uncaught bastards  specializing in young children: one only boys and one in girls. The papers did not specify if they were sexually attacked which would be the norm for those times not to report.

And even though guns were easy to obtain, you would have a hard time finding crimes using them. Tools implements and handles were the favorite which meant the killers liked it close and personal. Guns were used in about 15% of the cases in my estimation and this is the era when you literally could buy a gun at your local hardware store, general store and pawn shop without any idiotic government paperwork and I am not including private sales.

As for the cities with most crime? New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis ae mentioned over and over in editorials. What a surprise! It makes you think that all the Gun Control laws passed over this last century had not had an impact on crime and that maybe, just maybe there are other causes that may need to be addressed.

What crimes is not the same (at least not yet)? Lynching and  Anarchist-related killings. in the 1910s, lynching is not yet common but its frequency is picking up and it is interesting that although the majority of recipients of what they called “necktie parties” were black, a sizeable amount were also whites, specially cop killers.

Unions were in full fighting mode with the Anarchists taking to bomb the crap out pf the opposition or if explosives were not available, committing arson was an acceptable option. In at least one occasion, they shot a parade of the American Legion celebrating Armistice day under the excuse of defending themselves from men carrying banners and flags. Even though I had some serious push back from modern “Anarchists,” the ones back then were unabashed Bolsheviks (and they admitted so) since the Soviet Revolution was the fashionable flavor of the end of that decade. In other words, Socialists and Communists doing their stuff.

I am starting the Roaring 20s and guess what was one of the first crimes I find? A Drive-By by members of the Black Hand.

In the internet war between Trump supporters and Hillary supporters, each side believes that James Comey was a hack for their opponents.

Hillary supporters look at the October Letter and say “that cost Hillary the election.”

Trump supporters look at Comey’s statement that the discredited, salacious, and totally fictitious Seele Dossier was credible, leading to the Trump-Russia collusion investigation.

I believe that the only person that Comey is out for is James Comey.

I don’t know why, but it seems that he wants to be the most hated man in America.  He’s like the political version of the ‘cash me outside girl.‘  Somehow he’s managing to turn nearly universal contempt of his bullshit and unethical antics into money and fame.

He’s a low rent internet fame whore who just happened to be FBI Director.

So Comey gave an interview to the British paper iNews UK.

For no appreciable reason, he decides to weigh in on the issue of gun control.

James Comey is also outspoken at the lack of action to tackle gun crime, especially school shootings, following the deaths of 10 children at Santa Fe High School in the latest major attack last month.

Maybe if his FBI wasn’t so busy with obviously fabricated anti Trump dossiers, they could investigate tips against school shooters.

“I’m comfortable around guns. I own guns,” he says, but adds: “Surely there are things we can agree upon that relate to who is able to buy a weapon, what kind of weapon and at what age, what the capabilities of the weapon are, how many rounds does it hold, and things like that, that in no way threaten the rights under the US constitution of people to keep and bear arms.

First of all, when a guy like Comey says “I’m comfortable around guns. I own guns,” it means he has a couple of very expensive over/unders he uses for skeet shooting or something like that.  He was never an FBI field agent, he was an attorney with the DOJ and in private practice.  I’m not sure if the FBI ever issued him a firearm or required him to qualify with it.

As for the “Surely there are things we can agree…” part.  No, we surely can’t agree on all of that.  Yeah, felons shouldn’t have guns.  Assault weapon and high capacity magazine bans are not effective in reducing crime at all and serve only to inconvenience and criminalize otherwise lab abiding gun owners.  One would think that the FBI Director would be familiar with the FBI data on all of this, but he’s not.  He’s a political hack above all else.

They did at the state level.  Does the NY SAFE Act ring a bell?  Yes, gun owners were terrified that some equivalent would be passed by Obama in the dead of night like Cuomo did.

HA!!!  It’s the antis who live on the slippery slope.  It starts with “we’re not going to take your guns” and five minutes later after they explained their ideas for an AWB it turns into “we’re going to send cops into your home and pry your guns from your cold dead hands you small dick cowards.”

If that is anything, it is a brick wall.  It’s right there where it says “shall not be infringed.”  There is no staircase there.

Nowhere does the 2A say, well you can ban these guns but not those because of how they look or they hold more bullets than some hedge fund lawyer turned top cop is comfortable with.

In my deepest, most unrealistic fantasies, I dream that Ruth Bader Ginsburg is forced to retire when she can no longer physically make it into court and Trump sticks another Textualist onto the court.  Then SCOUTS decides that “shall not be infringed” means exactly that and nullifies the NFA and GCA of 1986, and makes the entire nation Constitutional Carry.

Comey borrowed this interview from his appointer and Majesty Barack Obama.  He’s in a foreign nation, with the air of authority conveyed by his former position, criticizing America, American citizens, and their civil rights.

He might think this will put him back in the Left’s good graces, but even the goldfish brains of the Left won’t forgive him for costing Hillary the election just yet.  All he’s done is add another group of people to the list of those who have a justifiable reason to hate him.

The one thing to remember about James Comey is that he is 6’8″ tall, so it is entirely appropriate to say this about him.

It seem that Democrats are fair weather patriots, who only are proud of their country when their guy is ruling with a pen and a phone, in direct opposition to the checks and balances and division of powers that our country was founded on.

Because she lives in a low-income immigrant neighborhood described by the government as a “ghetto,” Rokhaia will be what the Danish newspapers call a “ghetto parent” and he will be a “ghetto child.”

Starting at the age of 1, “ghetto children” must be separated from their families for at least 25 hours a week, not including nap time, for mandatory instruction in “Danish values,” including the traditions of Christmas and Easter, and Danish language. Noncompliance could result in a stoppage of welfare payments. Other Danish citizens are free to choose whether to enroll children in preschool up to the age of six.

Denmark’s government is introducing a new set of laws to regulate life in 25 low-income and heavily Muslim enclaves, saying that if families there do not willingly merge into the country’s mainstream, they should be compelled…
