The new monitor arrived a couple of days ago and it is now temporarily up because new one is standing a top of a stack of books so I can figure how to do a more secure base.
According to the missus, I am weird setting up like this, but I find it more comfortable.
One thing, if you have a HDMI output and your monitor comes with a DP input, you will need a specific cable or adapter that goes from HDMI to FDP. Most of the cables and associated stuff go the other way around. Apparently this will also happen with certain game consoles?
OK , that’s it and thank you again for the donation!
PS: the second I clicked “post” the new monitor was defeated by gravity and did a slow-mo race gently laying itself against the old one. The books are now back in the shelves.
It is out of Education committee in the Senate and on its way to Infrastructure and Security for 3/29/2019.
It still allows teachers who volunteer and train to carry a gun in class but already filed are amendments which already failed in Education. Gotta give them points for keep trying.
Anyways, here are the emails for the members of the Infrastructure and Security Committee. Give them a bit of love for the bill.
Let’s begin with the obvious: There is no Latinx culture. There is a Latin Culture or a Cultura Latina. The “x” at the end shit is a stupid affectation that will get you slapped silly for being a conceited asshole in points south of the US.
The hyphen? Nope, not a Hispanic/Spanish/Latin thing. That is a Feminist thing for those women who wanted to be feminist but did not want to piss off their very rich husbands.
The way Hispanic Culture structures the full name of a person is : First Name + Father’s Last Name + Mother’s Last Name.
For Example, instead of John Fitzgerald Kennedy in the English custom. our 35th president would be John Kennedy Fitzgerald in the Spanish version. It takes a bit to get used when you move and have to fill paperwork against what you have been trained and done for so many years.
Now, Dear Alejandrita is right on the Cortez not being the proper way to address her, the custom is to use only the father’s last name so Alexandria Ocasio is perfectly right for the Hispanic/Spanish/Latin culture, Now, there is a section of people who culturally demand that people address them with all the names give to them by their parents and that is Royalty. Unfortunately for Alejandrita, she does not belong to the Spanish Royalty nor we give a shit and how they are supposed to be “properly” addressed. We she is conceited enough to think herself above the little people, but even Latin America got rid of their Royal influences, so fuck off with the airs of Regal Bitch, Miss Occasional-Cortex.
Effective Date: 7/1/2019
Last Action: 3/21/2019 Senate – Withdrawn from further consideration.
The House Companion bill HB 753 was Withdrawn prior to introduction.
We are not scot-free yet. We still have bills against State Pre-Emption and you can bet your ass they will be directed a lot against concealed carry to create a patchwork of rues and regulation that will not make it safe to carry from county to county or even city to city.
The SIG with the gray and decaying beard made the rightful comment that the name of the bills in the legislature not necessarily reflect their real intent. I was about to embark in another long enterprise of mincing and chopping the list with links when I said to myself “Dude, these people ain’t dumb! tell them the tools you use!” so here we go.
First, go to the Florida Legislature website. Then for starters, click on the House side. Why the House? Because it is a bit more user-friendly than the senate.
You will come to the main entrance for the House. Please click on BILLS.
Here is the list of ALL the bills (both Senate and House supposedly) in consideration for this session (in the circle). But you can use the search function to pare down the list.
If you find a bill you want to keep an eye on, Click on TRACK BILL.
Non gun bill for example purposes
I used the word FIREARM an started to read each bill to see if it was of importance. then I clicked on TRACK. You will be asked to register and I would urge you to do so because not only it will save those bills you selected, but also give you an email warning every time something is done to the bill. Check where it says Account Preferences and at the bottom you will find Select Frequency of Email Notifications. I picked hourly because I am like that.
This would be what your list of tracked bill will look like.
In what looks like a green “Q” on the right is to make your own notes. The “X” is to remove the bill from tracking. The link to the specific bill is in the column to the left. Click there and you will go to the bill’s page.
This one is a simple one from the senate side: It has been introduced and it only has the original text. Other bill will have amendments, votes, movements to other committees, etc. Take your time, it is not hard to figure out.
The senate side is less easy to find the bill search and tracker, but not much. Go to Session, menu will drop and select Bills.
After that, it is pretty much the same as in the House side, only not so pretty. I also registered with the tracker to save the bill searches and that means you will get duplicate emails about the bills, but that would be a very small hardship to endure compared to losing the fight.
OK, that’s it. Any questions ask me in the comments or via email.
I will probably be a nice guy later and provide you with my list of the bill numbers. But right now I need a nap after an already full morning of taking mom to her doc and other outside the house stuff.
Remember everything I was saying abut the Jews in the Democratic party?
This shouldn’t shock anybody, really.
Remember that MoveOn was a major organizer for anti-Iraq war protests and one of the theme floated through the time of Bush Administration was that Jewish Neocons were getting the US to take out Saddam on Israel’s behalf.
It’s just interesting to see that among progressives, it is now three-quarters of the party that harbors anti-Israel (bordering on if not full antisemitic) sentiment.
I am disheartened to see in certain Gun Rights group’s Facebook Page, people are more interested in taking Gun Fashion Fishing Walks and rehash 9/11-Illuminati-Lizard People conspiracy theories applied at the New Zealand Massacre than actually paying attention to what is happening in our fair state, much less do something about it.

So, instead of asking if this pair of flip-flops really go with my AR15 or trying to tune in to the latest Alex Jones videocast with your dental fillings, I urge you to get your shit together and find out what you could do to really help.
PS: A general clean up of the Facebook Page of subject matters not related to Florida Problems and general reigning in of off-the wall participants would be a fantastic start.
