What’s next

Unless you were in a coma over the weekend, you heard the news that the Muller investigation came to an end, Attorney General William Barr released a summary letter of the conclusion of the investigation and the big news was…

There was no evidence of collusion with Russia or obstruction of justice, and no more indictments are coming down the pipe from Muller.

It must be made crystal clear that this was the THRID invesigtion that found the same thing.

Trump was investigated by the Senate Intelligence Committee and by the House Judiciary Committee.

Both Congressional investigations came to the same conclusion.

A day before the Muller investigation ended Presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke said it was “beyond  shadow of a doubt” that Trump colluded with Russia.   That’s hard to walk back.

Rep Shelia Jackson Lee went on TV and said that she didn’t believe the report and Trump colluded with Russia.

Across the Left there are three major talking points that I can see.

One: the report is a lie, Mueller and Barr have been compromised.

Two: the report didn’t exonerate Trump, which means he’s guilty of something and Muller just isn’t prosecuting for reasons.

Three: the investigation lead to other convictions so Trump has to be guilty of something.

The latter two follow in the new Democrat position of a presumption of guilt.  Keep in mind that the other convictions were for things like not paying taxes, not treason.

The thing is, this “Trump beat Hillary because Putin put him in office” has been THE Democrat narrative since the second Wednesday in November, 2016.

Politicians, media personalities, and alike have promised us that the evidence will come out and Bad Orange Man will be impeached.

Now… bupkis.

So what’s next?  Where does the Democrat party go from here?

Do they walk it back and concede that they were wrong?

Do they keep pounding that Trump colluded?

I believe that Bigfoot himself has the evidence and will deliver it to Congress when he testifies under oath.

Do they just expect the American people to sort of forget the last two-and-a-half years?

I honestly have no idea.

What I do know is that if the Adam Schiff/Jackson Lee theory that collusion happened and Mueller was compromised becomes the mainstream narrative, it will only get worse from here.

305 GUNS is Officially Back in Business

Rick is my FFL so he gets the plug.

305 GUNS is Officially Back in Business

Hello Everyone.

As I wrote a few weeks ago, we have moved our office. At the time we were unable to process transfers or purchase firearms as we had to wait for the FFL with our new address on it. However I am pleased to report that we have received it and are once again open for business.

If you need anything, please let me know as we will be getting all our distributors updated, as well as the online retailers.

Our new office is still inside our CPA firm, at:
5881 NW 151 Street, Suite 115
Miami Lakes, FL 33014

We are still in Miami Lakes, but over behind the original Police Station (as you are heading out of Miami Lakes towards 57th Avenue/Opa Lock Airport). Its a bit “hidden” but we are inside the right (eastern) building of the Corporate Courts of Miami Lakes complex. Our office is all the way to the back – the suite #s are not in order.  Its easy to come in the door at the back of the building as we are just inside to the right.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Rick Ewart

PS: I already paid a visit to the new locale and I have to warn you the suite numbering and signage was done by meth addicts on a mushroom trip. Simply go in the lobby, turn left and go all the way to find Suite 115 on your left side.

I tried to follow logically the signs and numbering and I found myself in the ladies bathroom on the right wing about to be pepper sprayed.

Illinois is getting its ass kicked in court

Two very pro gun storied from the Land of Lincon.

A buddy of mine just alerted me to the first one, today.

According to Illinois Carry, a judge in the Second Judicial Circuit Court declared Illinois FOID scheme to be unconstitutional.

The second one I heard about but hadn’t had prioritized in posting.

Judge tosses Chicago suburb’s assault weapons ban

A judge in Illinois ruled Friday that the Chicago suburb of Deerfield did not have the authority to enact a ban on assault weapons.

Lake County Circuit Court judge Luis Berrones issued a permanent injunction blocking the measure from being enforced, finding that the gun owners who sued have “a clearly ascertainable right to not be subjected to a preempted and unenforceable ordinance,” The Chicago Tribune reported.

This is not supposed to happen in Illinois.

Then again, Illinois was not supposed to have concealed carry, but then again, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals forced gun rights onto Illinois in Moore v. Madigan.

That fell upon the heels of McDonald v. Chicago which wiped out Chicago’s handgun ban.

Illinois is getting its anti-gun ass handed to it in the courts.

This is good news for the Land of Lincoln and for America as a whole.

Mispronouncing names is Racist! ZOMG! UPDATE.

In tonight’s episode of “What can I be offended about?”

Having a name butchered happens beyond coffee shops. This same anxiety peeks its head in the workplace, the classroom and many other aspects of life.

In this episode of RadioActive Youth Media, hosts Zuheera Ali and Keya Roy talk to author Ijeoma Oluo and each other about their experiences living in the United States with “difficult” names. They also talk to Rita Kohli, a professor at University of California, Riverside who has done research on the effects of mispronouncing names on students of color.

The racist practice of mispronouncing names.

This seems to be a podcast where two teens apparently feel their emotional well being is under assault because the local barista cannot pronounce their not-ordinary first name properly.

There are over 6,000 languages in the world with 195 countries. That is a bunch of names in different pronunciations that there is no way anybody in the world can get right at first try.  Yet Need-To-Be-Butthurt girls complain some minimum wage barista ought to get right from the get-go.

Fortunately, we have somebody nearby with a foreign and/or weird sounding name to use as example: me.

Now, when I came to the US way back in the age of MTV actually playing music videos, my name was not very well-known and I heard it pronounced in a bunch of “wrong” ways like Mee-Ghoul, May-GU-El, Migel (Like Nigel)  and others I can’t remember. Was I insulted because my names was not being said right? No, because I was having issues myself with some names in English that I had not heard before and I was doing a Freddy Krueger on them.  Do you know how hard was for me to properly say Beau? And when I finally get it right, I find out there is the name Bo? And they it may come from Beaufort or Beauregard which are not easy for a Spanish Speaker to pronounce also?

Here is the funny thing. Back there when you mispronounced a name, there was no insult taken but a polite correction was issued because the other person would understand that it was simply a mistake of ignorance, not a racist taunt. My roommate, also a Hispanic, was called Elias which in Spanish is pronounced Eh-lee-ass. But he took a shine to the way it was pronounced in English and did not mind it at all being addressed that way. In my case, people tried to call me Michael, Mike and all the variations, for some reason, even when I did not mind at all, my brain never processed  the fact that somebody was addressing me so I was adressed as Miguel or nicknames and adjecives not to be used in polite company.

Uncommon names are hard to initially process, To ignore that is to be a stuck up asshole.  and to claim that mispronouncing them is racist, is possibly the dumbest stuff I read this morning. Thanks to Movies and TV, the name John is not unusual in Spanish-speaking countries and you will get an accented version of the name. But something like Jebediah? At best it would be something like Yevedalla (Je as in he-he, Ve as in vertical, Da as in daddy and Ya as in yard) on a good day. On a bad name, people will just blink and call you Gringo.

PS: I used to pronounce Beau as Ve(as in vertical)-Ah- U(nion). I figure I was not shot on sight because they Non-Gringo was having issues with the language. 😀

UPDATE: J.Kb. sent me this video about the racist hardships of name mispronunciation. The struggle is real.

I need my safe space

I did some spring cleaning this weekend.

Somehow that resulted in me going through my gun safe and deciding to do some purging of some guns I don’t shoot and have redundancy on.

Don’t worry, I’m not getting out of the gun game, I’m just making some room in the safe and the money will go towards a new more ban prone long gun.

Right now the list of what is up for sale is:

1 Ruger LCR 38 spl +P

2 Ruger LCR 357

1 Ruger SP101 3″ barrel and Hogue Grip

I am going to list them soon for sale online, but I wanted to give readers first crack.

I have an FFL that will ship for $20 + the cost of FedEx to your FFL.

If you are interested in one of these, email me at jkb@gunfreezone.troglodite.com with a reasonable offer.

We will discuss payment and transfer details at that time.

ALL SALES WILL GO THROUGH AN FFL IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL INTERSTATE FIREARM TRANSFER LAWS.

Do not let Progressives run your governmnet

This is a documentary produced by AM News station KOMO out of Seattle.

It documents the reality of what is going on in that city.

It is worth every minute of its hour run time.

It is noteworthy that they admit that Seattle, as bad as this is, is second to San Francisco for property crime and this sort of behavior.

This is West Coast Progressivism in action.

Two Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students commit suicide.

CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. (WSVN) – Community leaders and mental health professionals held an emergency meeting in Coral Springs after two survivors of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School died in apparent suicides within a week.

MSD community holds emergency meeting after 2 teens’ reported suicide

I have my opinions as the “why” and they will remain private, but it is clear that last year, in the rush to “do something” the politicians chose the easy path out by restricting rights rather than addressing the mental health problem endemic we seems to be having.

I fear that these two lives will not be the only ones that will end up being lost.
