Florida Concealed Weapons Permits till March 2019

We added some 13,000+ licenses and 15K and change from the Two Million Mark.

If we keep this rate and the reports take a few days into the next month to be posted, I hope I get to announce on the 4th of July we broke the Two Million Mark.

If you live in Florida, get your damned Concealed Weapons License.

One of the things (besides 9/11) that got me to get my CWP was a recommendation by Jon Gutmacher in his book. Florida Firearms Law, Use and Ownership, was that the gun laws in our far state have so many silly quirks and details that can get somebody innocently in trouble and that the simple fact of getting your CWP will save you from 90% of those troubles if you are taking your gun outside your home in a regular basis.

Earlier I catch a post in the Church of Our Lady of the Perpetual Outrage (Armed) Facebook Group about Open Carry in a big property because there was an issue with wild critters.  Everybody jumped with his interpretation of the law (not a lawyer among the bunch) and the general answer was something like “Fuck, yeah! You can!”

Now, understand that Florida is still one of those retrograde states without OC unless you have the urge to go do a tactical parade to your local pier with an R 15… but I digress. There is very few jurisprudence on OC at “home” and the few stuff I have seen about curtilage in non-firearms cases, you may get in trouble or not. I also try to void what Gutmacher calls “Defendant Zero” so I have an allergy to tempt faith.

Eventually the person confessed that she was the only one in the family without a CWP and I don’t know if it was laziness or what, but she wants to figure out how to OC in her property which does not make sense because if you can do one, you surely can do the concealed one without permit.

You are in our fair state and have a sidearm? Just get your permit and save yourself from almost all of the hassle .  It is much cheaper than bail and an attorney.

“Because anyone can be the Jew. “ – Pt. 2

Yesterday Miguel posted “Because anyone can be the Jew,” a cautionary tale.

Right on cue, our favorite nuke happy Congressman, Eric Swalwell has decided to announce his campaign for President.

This is how The Atlantic reported on it.

Eric Swalwell Is Running for President on Gun Safety
The California congressman is partnering with a Parkland student and says he isn’t afraid of the NRA.

There are more long-shot Democrats running for president this year than there have been total candidates in previous campaigns—and next week, Eric Swalwell is joining the pack. The California congressman and frequent cable-news guest on all things related to President Donald Trump and Russia will announce his presidential plans in an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. But he won’t be running on Russia, or on the continuing fallout from the Mueller report and the Barr letter. Swalwell will center his campaign on gun control.

He is focusing his campaign on gun control.  The core reason he wants to run is to restrict the Constitutional rights of American citizens.

That’s not peripheral for him, that is his central message.

Who has he partnered with?

Last week, he invited Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, to join him at an annual event with veterans at a shooting range. He tweeted a photo of himself firing at a target and one posing with Watts on the range, but made no mention of his political plans.

Here is the Tweet.

This Tweet is absolute Horseshit.

This blog as documented just how much Shannon Watts and Moms Demand Action have pushed the woke idea of racist police targeting minorities as they have slid down the intersectional slope.

The only police they support are the Sheriffs and Police Chiefs who use their clout to advocate for more gun control.

Swalwell has decided to officially announce his candidacy at a town hall in Parkland, Florida.  The symbolism of that is no lost on us.

On Twitter, meanwhile, Swalwell posted a voicemail that he says he received at his office, with a man angrily screaming about his position on guns and threatening to kill him. “I’m not afraid of this guy,” Swalwell wrote. “I’m not afraid of the NRA. I’m not afraid. No fear.”

Swalwell has focused on the NRA before with truly disgusting rhetoric.

So some six million American citizens are not really American and he will soon defeat them.

Where else have I heard the rhetoric about some six million people not really representing the nation they are citizens of, and how they will soon be defeated?

This is how Swalwell sees the NRA.  If it were not for this small group of people, the United States would be a wonderful, happy, safe place, but this minority group is undermining America and killings its children for their own selfish desires.

Swalwell is running for leader by demonizing six million Americans, blaming them for the deaths of children, and promising that if he is elected, the NRA will be defeated and that will bring about many years of peace.

NRA members really are Fuhrer-wannabe Swalwell’s Jews.

Senate Democrats have declared war on the Midwest

I saw this story yesterday and it made me hit the roof.

Democrats Block Disaster Relief Bill Over Funds for Puerto Rico

Senate Democrats blocked a $13.5 billion Republican disaster aid bill, contending it lacks enough aid for Puerto Rico, leaving the Senate without an immediate path forward to provide relief for areas hit by recent Midwest floods, Hurricanes Florence and Michael, and California wildfires.

If you have been watching CNN, you would not have seen anything like the video below of flooding in the Midwest.

The pictures from the Bellevue Police Department hit home for me, literally.  The house I was renting in Bellevue is now halfway under water.  Had I not moved to Alabama, that would be my stuff being washed away by the flood.

One thing not covered by CNN was the damage done to America’s farmland.

Over one million calves have been killed in the flooding, as well as topsoil erosion of farmland.

This is going to make beef prices in the coming months to years go up drastically.  Think about it, at decent size steer will net about 500 lbs of beef after processing.  One million lost calves means the loss of more than HALF A BILLION POUNDS OF MEAT.

The flooding also did record damage in South Dakota, a state I also lived in (albeit at the other end).

I still know people in Omaha and Sioux Falls, and some of them have seen property damage.  I very good friend of mine has had his basement flooded three times this year – all the way up to the first floor joists – and is dealing with the cost of damage to his house.

This is a real crisis of signification proportion.

Yet the Senate Democrats are holding up recovery aid because they are still trying to leverage Hurricane Maria and the identity politics there against Trump.

The map below shows exactly why they are doing this.

That is the map of the US by Senate orientation for the 116th Congress.

Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, those are all red because both Senate seats are held by Republicans.

The Democrats can block flood recovery aid to those states for as long as they want because those are not their constituents.

Keep in mind that Hurricane Maria happened in September of 2017, so there has been 18 months of aid going to the island.  The grand total in aid has been more than $91 Billion.  The problem has been corruption of the local government.

Remember when Puerto Ricans claimed that didn’t have enough drinking water after the hurricane and the Democrats blamed Trump.

Well, FEMA delivered it and the Puerto Rican government left it outside on the runway.

BUT… San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz was always able to find time to stand in front of a CNN camera with a T-shirt emblazoned with an anti-Trump sentiment.

This blog has covered the corruption, politicizing, and disaster down there.

This new bill does provide more relief to Puerto Rico, but the Democrats say it’s not enough.

The aid package, amended last week by Republican Richard Shelby of Alabama, would give Puerto Rico $600 million in nutrition assistance, but it doesn’t contain the same funds the House authorized to bolster flood protection and repair the electrical grid. The Senate failed to advance its version of the bill Monday on a 44-49 vote.

This isn’t about Puerto Rico, this is about identity politics, claiming that the GOP is anti-Latino and letting the Midwest drown because of it.

This is the Democrats declaring war on Red state Middle America.
