Blogger restored my blog and blamed it on their automated system. “My blog has been restored, I’ve done a total backup, and I’ll be porting the content to my new WordPress blog over the next few days. I appreciate all the support, the help, the advice, and just righteous anger on my behalf. I don’t plan to be at their mercy again.

Actress and Hollywood crazy person Rosanna Arquette decided to signal her virtue to the world by Tweeting this:
I know the Progressive Left lacks any introspection but hasn’t it occurred to anybody that maybe every time some Woke Lefty bashes white people it drives more white people down the rabbit hole of extremism.
Heaping that much guilt on people eventually breaks them down mentally. Either they will become self-destructive or belligerently opposed to the guilt.
The Left can say “but Trump’s rhetoric” all they want, but I would put money on the increase in white supremacism on the proliferation of Critical Whiteness Studies courses in American colleges than anything Trump has ever said.
I’m not excusing white supremacism. Quite the opposite. I’m saying extremism begets extremism and maybe the extreme Progressive Left is morally culpable for the deteriorating mental and social health of young white men that has led to the rise of mass shootings.
An armed man wearing body armor sent panicked shoppers fleeing from a Walmart store in Missouri on Thursday, but an armed off-duty firefighter was able to detain the suspect until police officers arrived to make an arrest, Springfield police said.
The 20-year-old suspect was carrying loaded tactical weapons, according to reports.
“His intent obviously was to cause chaos here, and he did that,” Springfield police Lt. Mike Lucas told The Springfield News-Leader.
…
The suspect grabbed a cart, pushed it around the store and recorded cell phone video of himself walking through the Walmart, Springfield’s KY3 reported, citing police.
The television station reported that the store manager pulled a fire alarm, which prompted people to flee from the store.
The suspect then made his way out an emergency exit where the firefighter held the man at gunpoint, the station reported, adding that police showed up about three minutes later and made the arrest
Is the dumbass in the photo a potential mass killer? Probably not. Missouri is an Open Carry state and more than likely this dumb bastard decided to do the Chest Thumper® thing and “exercise mu Rights!” without considering if it was the smart thing to do.
And before anybody begins with the “A Right Not Exercised is a Right Lost” allow me to point out that we are at a stage where if you are not smart enough and careful enough to control optics (and I do not mean red dots or scopes), you will lose those rights. We are but a legislative session away to lose more than 30 years of Gun Rights advancements. Gun people have to understand that the Media fueled by the Powers That Be are constantly pushing the image of our side being potential killers that can snap at any time. So it is amazingly stupid that after two mass killings by people with rifles and sporting tactical gear, you decide that it would be a good idea to dress the same way and go stroll inside a Walmart.
“His intent was not to cause peace or comfort to anybody that was in the business. In fact, he’s lucky to be alive still to be honest,” he (Lt. Mike Lucas) told reporters.
The way tensions are running, he ain’t wrong. The fact that a civilian with a concealed weapon draw on Mr Chest Thumper® clearly indicates that even our side is not taking chances. “But he has a right to carry!” will be automatic response to which I have to ask “Was it the smart thing to do?” I mean, if you buy a lighter, it is your property and you shouldn’t be told what to do with it and by-golly you will do what you want, screw anybody who says different. But at the same time, you should be careful when and where to use it, right?
And that is the point. Not being smart to know that sometimes your pretentious attitude will blow on your face and be used as example to curtail our rights.
Anyway, we “thank” the Open Carry idiot whose example will probably be used to shut down the next time we try to introduce Open Carry bills in the State of Florida.
A Florida man caused some worry when he walked into a Port St. Lucie Walmart and asked the clerk about a gun to kill people with.
Phil Attey, an anti-gun activist, admitted to WPTV the remark was in poor taste, but he was trying to make an anti-gun statement because he saw someone who looked like a white nationalist purchase a gun.
It “was for them [Walmart] to wake up and think about their role in the gun violence toxic climate that we have,” he said.
The clerk said Attey asked him, “Can you sell me anything (or a gun) that would kill 200 people?” When the worker replied, “That isn’t funny,” Attey said, “I know,” and asked again if they could sell him anything that would kill 200 people.
Goes without saying that his political stance was no what the Walmart people understood and they called police. St Lucie PD took it seriously enough to issue this warning in social media.
I would not mind if the full book is thrown at this idiot, but we know it won’t happen. What we will see is an incremental series of actions oriented to wards violent response by police or civilians. In fact, I believe we should be seeing Gun Control Jihadists who will commit serious act of mass shooting even if he or she dies in it. The fanaticism is such, that I believe we will see people killing and dying trying to make sure their twisted version of peace comes on top.

There is a new show on Amazon, I am only two episodes into it but I love the premise. Like it was made for me.
The Boys
Faithful readers of this blog know that I hate the universe of Harry Potter. The books are well written, and J.K. Rowling is an immersive author, I just hate that universe.
I am also not a fan of virtually all superhero universes.
Both for the same reason.
We all know the old adage “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” It should go without saying that superpowers would therefore corrupt superly.
In the real world, superhumans would-be bullies and tyrants, using their powers to oppress or steal or do just about whatever they want.
In the Harry Potter universe, magic is essentially a superpower and the existence of the Death Eaters is pretty much just that. Use magic to oppress the non-magical. The “good” wizards don’t even care about the non-magical people, they simply want to keep the Death Eaters at bay to avoid the non-magical world from knowing about them. Both sides in the wizarding world treat non-magical with total disregard, not caring about the enormous amount of collateral damage they cause.
The problem is that these stories are aimed at children, so the authors want you to empathize with the wizards or superheroes. It’s escapism.
Not in the world of The Boys.
The superheroes of that universe are rapists, sex offenders, addicts, blackmailers, murderers, and every bit as awful as you can imagine someone who is both a super-wealthy A-list celebrity and indestructible could be.
For instance, the one whose power is invisibility is a total peeping tom.
The main character’s girlfriend is killed quite gruesomely when A-Train, their version of the Flash runs into her at top speed. Then you find out he can’t be prosecuted for her death or even sued because superheroes have qualified immunity.
Even in fiction qualified immunity is total bullshit.
So The Boys are a quasi-vigilante squad that deals with the superheroes when they get too far out of line.
This is fantastic. Previously, when a character in a superhero movie brings up the issue of those with superpowers being corrupt, they are the bad guy, e.g., the senator from the first X-Man movie.
This is finally a series that addresses how those with superpowers would really behave. Like assholes.
I’ve said it before. I believe in gun rights. I believe in the old saying “God created all men, but Sam Colt made them equal.”
In a world where superheroes exist, I’d be the guy selling Loretnz Force Disruptors. Because when the guy grabbing your wife in the bar has superhuman strength, you can blow his electrons off.
She just wants to figure out every possible way to hurt people on the other side and implement that for no other reason that what motivates her is hating the other side.
If you want to understand how a bunch of people in Hollywood could look at a script about murdering Trump voters for fun and say “yes, we want to finance that and put it in theaters in Red States” this is how.
Their hate is all-consuming.
If you want a reason not to give up your guns, this woman is it.
“As soon as we have the power, we’re going to torture you all and destroy everything that you hold dear” isn’t really a message that inspires me to go along with her side.
All you have to know is that a year-and-a-half ago at the CNN town hall after Parkland, CNN provided total coverage for a sheriff that was found to have been in such derlicition of duty TIWCE, that the governor kicked him out and the state court affirmed his firing.
CNN made him look like a hero.
Chris Cuomo is the most mendacious person on television.
