Bloomberg Gone: The Numbers
Bloomberg bypassed the first four primary contest in hopes of winning a huge chunk of delegates awarded on Super Tuesday. He spent $570 million over the course of his 100 days of his campaign on flooding the airwaves around the country with ads, opening hundreds of offices across the country, and hiring more than 2,100 people to his team. In Super Tuesday alone, Bloomberg dropped about a total of $200 million on digital, radio and tv ads. His only victory was in the tiny American Samoa caucus, where he got five delegates.
…
As of Wednesday, Bloomberg had accumulated 44 pledged delegates, while Biden leads the delegate count with 453. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) trails behind Biden with 382 pledged delegates, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) after losing her home state of Massachusetts has 50.
Bloomberg Drops Out, Endorses Biden
It is his money and he can do whatever he wants with it. A bunch of people got some cash in their pockets because of his ego and good for them.
But $570 million still comes at $5.7 million per day or $12.9 million per vote. According to the NYT, Mr. Trump spent $322 million for his successful campaign to be President.
Truthfully I have no idea what made Bloomberg run. Even the dumbest of campaign managers had to know he had too much baggage to appeal to the Democratic base and his running was a fools’ errand. I am only left with one thing: His colossal ego was making the decisions and not common sense.
In other news:
Maybe not panic, but some butt clenching is visible.
I had been mulling about getting some vaccinations and after talking to a nurse with the insurance company, I headed for Wally World to get Flu, TDap and Shingles. Since I was in the pharmacy area, I did a quick check on the alcohol and found it all gone. Strangely, Peroxide was in full force. I did a quick run by the household cleaners and the bleach was also gone.
A couple or three weeks ago I was doing some cleaning with bleach outside and I ran out the regular bottled bleach. I am an addict and use it in anything that requires cleaning and can survive the use (nothing cleans the shower stall better than bleach, but open all windows) and it ticked me off to constantly run out of it.
So after some research I decided to make my own and bought me a pound of Calcium Hypochlorite in Ebay for $11. Supposedly I cam make 400 gallons of cleaning solution or treat up to 10,000 gallons of water.
With the stock of alcohol and peroxide we already have, I figure we can stay disinfected without much problem.
When the Government rewards Bad Behavior (Dumb Voting has consequences)
People are openly ROBBING businesses in California.
Thanks to Prop 47, offenders who commit crimes like this will only receive a citation.

Prop 47 includes citations for Shoplifting, where the value of property stolen does not exceed $950. No jail time because it is not “human” according to those who pushed the initiative and Californians bought it line, hook and sinker.
The same city, county and state that allows a business to be ransacked like that, is expecting for said business to pay taxes and fees promptly or else get a nasty jail sentence for failing to add to the public coffers, the same public who voted to allow criminals to bankrupt him/her.
In times of endemics, it is time to revive the use of handkerchiefs.
The CDC recommends you use a tissue or even your sleeved arm to stop the contents of a cough. I say we need to go back to basics and carry an old proven method of containment: The hanky.
When I was a child, I was not allowed to leave the house unless I had a spotless white handkerchief in the right rear pocket of my pants. Mom would even throw a back up in my book bag inside a plastic bag “just in case” one was not enough or the original got used or lost. If it was not used, it would go back in my pants the next day or if used, it went to the dirty clothes basket.
This was not an affectation. Back in the 1960s we were still dealing with Tuberculosis and it was drilled into out heads never to cough freely but to cover our mouths to prevent transmission. The handkerchief being white was to see if any blood would come out the lungs indicating some serious condition.
As civilization managed to push back on TB and other diseases, the use of handkerchief fell into the bin of the old stuff to be forgotten. I also rebelled for a while, but I am cursed with over productive sweat glands and I may end up looking like Ted Striker in “Airplane.”
I did not like the old whit handkerchiefs, but when I came to the US in my 20s, I discovered the bandana and I carry at least one with me but more likely two. I did a small post about bandanas being the cheapest EDC item and one with the most uses some time ago and still stands true.
Short of carrying a mask all the times, using a bandana to cover yourself when coughing is the best in terms of fast deployment and containing the cough by-products. Push comes to a shove, you can use the bandana as rudimentary mask in case others are the ones spraying.
Bandanas run about a buck each or less most everywhere including Amazon and EBay with free shipping. I usually give them a couple of washes before suing them to get them soft.
But if you like handkerchiefs, go for it too. The idea is not fashion but health.
Bloomberg trying to be Minority Woke ends up being racist.
Michael Bloomberg panders hard on Super Tuesday, “correcting” a reporter to pronounce Texas as “Tejas” because “you’re in a Cuban neighborhood.
Bloomberg was in Miami when he said that which shows that for him all Brown People look and sound the same: Wearing a big sombrero, a sarape and taking naps half the afternoon.
Dear Nasty Little Fascist, be advised that in South Florida when you say “tejas” we immediately go to the clay roofing tile which is part of our heritage going back to the Spanish colonizers. You see a lot of historical houses in Coral Gables fully roofed with “tejas.”
Bloomberg trying to appear woke and sensitive to minorities, only managed to show he has no frigging idea of people who are not within his NY Rich and Famous circle.
