Seattle Protesters Set up Barricades, Prepare to Defend CHOP From Police

Protesters in Seattle’s Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) zone are  preparing to defend the area from police after the city’s mayor announced plans to dismantle it in the wake of back-to-back shootings.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said police would soon move back into a precinct building that had been abandoned and taken over by protesters who formed the police-free zone, originally dubbed the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), earlier this month.

Durkan didn’t provide a timeline for clearing out the area, but said “additional steps” would be looked at if protesters do not leave voluntarily.

Pictures posted by one Twitter user showed barricades that have been put up around the East Precinct building. “People are waiting for cops to show up,” the user noted.

“We’re not leaving until our demands are met,” a sign posted outside the precinct building says.

We’ve seen that the protesters have guns.  Apparently lots of them.

The question is: how willing are they to use them and how willing are the police to resist.

Will Seattle send in SWAT if officers come under fire from Antifa with AR-15s?

Will Seattle be willing to stack up bodies of plate carrier wearing Marxists?

Whose will will be broken first?

I’m curious to see it.  Either way, I expect this to end poorly.

Let’s talk about history for a second.

Freak shows or side show attraction.

Today they are universally condemned as cruel and barbaric.

But before the days of Social Security Disability, large charities, and modern hospitals and hospices, what did you do with people who had severe birth defects and were unable to work?

Many suffered in poverty. Some became dependent on the charity of local churches, some begged in the streets.

Others joined the circus and became rich and famous, with the circus paying for the best doctors to care for them.

If you went back in time and eliminated the side show without creating all sorts of other social safety nets, all you did was condemn these people to suffering in destitution.

There are clearly many things in history that were pure atrocities with no redeeming characteristics.

Other things are a mix of good and bad.

This is an almost impossible circle to square by the aggressive application of modern absolutist morality to past time.

Understanding that history “is complicated” isn’t a euphemism.  It’s fact. How to address it will require wisdom and nuance, not the blunt tool of bumper sticker rhetoric.

Why did they write this?  Because Trump defended defending the statue from vandals.

Jackson was a piece of shit.  He massacred Indians by the thousands, caused the trail of tears, destroyed the Seminoles, set up the foundation for the Civil War, and his longest lasting crime against humanity, created the Democratic Party.

He also kicked the British out of the US for good after 1812 and opened up the frontier for westward expansion and made the state of Florida possible.

History is complicated.

But what really irks me is that WE DO NOT LET VANDALS DESTROY WHAT THEY DO NO LIKE.

This is a representative democracy, if you don’t like a statue, tell your Congressman/Congresswoman and submit a bill to have it removed.

Obeying the law isn’t that fucking hard.

But in 2020, respecting the law and stopping the destruction of Federal property means you love a slave owner.

Nuance is dead.  The mob killed it.

Right now they are lynching statues.  Next they will lynch people for not wanting to see statues destroyed.

The media should understand that but they push The Narrative instead.

This will end in bloodshed. At this point I see no way back without it.

Denver’s public school system is officially ending its relationship with the Denver Police Department (DPD). The district’s school board voted unanimously this week to remove police from all schools by next year in order to undo “the systemic racism that Black children and children of color face.”

The Board of Education’s Wednesday decision to terminate its contract with the DPD comes amid weeks of protests against police brutality, sparked by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. The district plans to phase police out of schools gradually, removing all officers by June 2021.

And all the way from Hell, they approve this idiocy.

One Roosevelt went to war to liberate the last colony of Spain in the Americas with a group of volunteers he formed that included Whites Indians and Hispanics, rich and poor, Northerners and Southerners. Their most famous battle was proudly side by side with the famous Buffalo Soldiers, known black warriors in uniform. He went on t become President and among many other things, invited Booker T. Washington to the White House and defended the first black female Postmaster from racist assholes that wanted her gone and threw the power of the Attorney General against those threatening her. Brokered peace talks between Russia and Japan ending the war among them and pushed Germany’s and England’s Navies out of the Caribbean while they were seeking ways to establish colonies or protectorates in the area.

The other Roosevelt sent a whole race to concentration camps.

Guess who is getting a statue removed?

You need the mind of a Leftist, a Democrat to accept such idiocy with a straight face even after you suffered their politics. You will not only not Culture Cancel it but actively support it like you were suffering a long-standing case of Stockholm Syndrome

Does anybody in government realize how much legitimacy they have lost?

It has become crystal clear that enforcement of the law it totally subjective and entirely dependent on the politics of lawbreakers and politicians in charge.

Crystal clear like never before.

Radical Leftist anarchists have free reign to destroy whatever government property they want and will be released with all charges dropped.

If you get caught using the wrong nozzle on your gas can or your flash hider is non properly pinned and welded to your barrel the Federal Government will fuck your day up.

We still obey the law because we have been conditioned to.  We still fear the consequences.

I wonder what will happen when every statue is toppled while law enforcement does nothing at the behest of politicians.

What will the government do when millions of regular American small business owners say:

“I’m serving all the booze I want without a liquor license and I’m not paying my taxes or fees, and your health inspector isn’t allowed in.  You can eat my asshole and fuck off way over there, this storefront is my Autonomous Zone.”

This is a shakedown, complete extortion.  There is no other way to describe it.

Make a statement supporting Black Lives Matter and donate or provide material support for Black Lives Matter or your business will be harassed and targeted for boycott.

You can no longer remain neutral, hoping to avoid controversy.  You must submit to the most extreme mob or be destroyed.

Sure, it will start with these big-name companies, but it will come for us all.  The Revolution always does.

Did your small business make a statement on its Facebook page?  Did your ma-and-pa restaurant or bakery or knickknack store no make a corporate statement and donation?  The internet will find you and people who have nothing better to do than be part of the internet outrage machine will destroy you.

Corporate America should have pushed back when it had the chance but it didn’t, now we are all going to be caught up in the cultural revolution.
