Biden’s defense secretary pick pledges to ‘rid our ranks of racists and extremists’

Retired Army General Lloyd Austin said on Tuesday that he would work to rid “racists and extremists” from the ranks of the U.S. military, mend alliances and focus strategically on China if confirmed as President-elect Joe Biden’s defense secretary.

Austin would become America’s first Black defense secretary and has declared his intention to improve diversity within the U.S. military, which is diverse in the lower ranks but largely white and male at the top.

“If confirmed, I will fight hard to stamp out sexual assault, to rid our ranks of racists and extremists, and to create a climate where everyone fit and willing has the opportunity to serve this country with dignity,” Austin, 67, said at his confirmation hearing.

And now we go back in time to June 1941 and a little thing called Operation Barbarrosa, Hitler’s invasion of the Soviet Union. Now, Hitler and Stalin had signed an non-aggression pact not too long before, and history guesses Stalin thought along the lines of former (by then) British Prime Minister Chamberlain and thought himself covered with promises of peace.

Hitler being the cunning animal he was, figured out the Red Army was weakened enough to have Russia be an easy target and launched the attack. Why did Hitler think so? Because for 1937 to 1939 Stalin engaged in a great military purge which eliminated most of the best and brightest the Soviet Army had including Mikhail Tukhachevsky who had fought to bring the Soviet Armed forces to the behemoth they eventually became in WWII and beyond.

As a kid, I remember looking in a book a photo of a destroyed panzer just barely 20 miles outside Moscow.  It was left there as a reminder how close the Nazis were of conquering the capital of the country, something that should never had happened, but did because the Red Army was by then purified from the alleged “enemies” of the Soviet Union. According to the Smithsonian “More than 800,000 Soviets (soldiers) had been killed, and an additional 6 million Soviet soldiers had been wounded or captured.” And that does not include the civilian population killed and the massive destruction of property and crops as the Soviets burned everything during their retreat as to deny the Germans anything they could use for supplies.

And all of that came about because the need to have a pure-thinking Red Army that conformed to the political needs of the Party. We still face enemies in the form of Terrorism and Countries but the incoming Administration already announces we are about to purge our like of Defense to make it look pretty and welcoming to all nice peoples.

IT’S BACK: THE POLITICAL STRUGGLE FOR CONTROL OF BANKS’ LOAN TAPS

In its final days, the Trump administration is seeking to disrupt the way progressive activists increasingly impose their will on big business: through banks controlling the loan lifelines to the economy.

A regulation just finalized (update) aims to prevent lenders from blackballing businesses in industries opposed by the left by requiring banks to demonstrate that their loan decisions are “based on quantitative, impartial risk-based standards,” rather than political or reputational concerns.

The proposed Fair Access to Financial Services Rule (FAFSR) is a response to successful pressure campaigns waged by environmental groups and congressional Democrats, which culminated in every major American bank refusing to finance drilling projects in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), despite such drilling being authorized by President Trump in 2017.

Bryan Hubbard, a spokesman for Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, told RealClearInvestigations that the rule codifies longstanding OCC guidance on banks’ obligation to provide equitable access to their services, and will ensure that banks are not “terminating entire categories of customers.”

The rule has been published in the Federal Register, but it may be short-lived with the end of Trump’s term. Many Democrats oppose the measure and they will have 60 legislative days to disapprove the rule by a simple majority vote, as provided under the Congressional Review Act.

Originally this change was made to stop banks from denying loans to the oil and firearms industry on political bases.

Hubbard of OCC emphasized that banks receive federal deposit insurance and are given “the privilege of a national license to operate,” a license that he claims imposes on banks certain obligations. Banks have a duty, Hubbard said, to provide proportionate access to financial services, even for clients involved in legal but politically controversial industries.

This is key.  Banks should not allow political whims to decide who gets loans and who doesn’t.  This was the foundation of redlining and other discriminatory practices that harmed the black community, where banks considered factors other than financial risk – namely skin color – when making loans.

The Democrats, once again want to return to the era of Jim Crow, where banks are allowed to discriminate, not on the basis of skin color but of political allegiance.

We know that if (when) this is reimplemented, it won’t be just gun companies or small gun stores that can’t get business loans.  At the rate at which the boot is coming down, it will be taken to the personal level.

Did you donate to the Trump campaign?  Now you will be declined for a mortgage.

Did you post MAGA on Facebook?  Now your credit score got knocked down a few hundred points.

There are a million-and-one ways that your personal finances can be negatively affected by politicized banks.

This is just another means of unpersoning Conservatives, make them unable to engage in regular finances.

That is a nice-sounding talking point for the media, but the trick is in how the military defines “extremist.”

Do you have an NRA membership and a Gadsden flag?  If you are reading this blog, you probably do.  Congratulations, you are too much of an extremist for the US military.

The insidious part is how they lump things like Q-Anon in with the NRA or the Patriot Guard Riders.

Remember that the Patriot Guard Riders started as a way of protecting military families from having to listen to harassment by the Westboro Baptist Church.  They would surround those incestuous shit-stains and rev their Harley engines so their message could not be heard.

The new standard for what constitutes an extremist overlaps with a lot of mainstream Conservatism.

This is clearly a push to force O’Sullivan’s law at every level.

They have no desire to ferret out other forms of extremism.

Did the military make a push to go after Leftists in uniform with gender identity issues?

Nope.  In fact, the Left decided to die on the hill of making sure soldiers could transition in uniform if they wanted.

Spenser Rapone wore a Che shirt under his blouse at his West Point graduation and wrote “Communism will win” inside of his cap.

Did the military go about trying to figure out how a full-fledged anti-Government communist got into West Point and who his cohorts were and how he managed to fly under the radar for years?

Nope.  No purge of communists in the military.

Then there is Charlotte Clymer, where the Venn Diagram of Communist and emotionally disturbed Transender overlap.

None of these acts make the DOD sort through the social media and personal lives of soliders to figure out who supports Socialism or Communism or Antifa or ISIS or who has the sort of emotional problems that would make them turn on their fellow soldiers.

But if you post a picture of yourself at the range in an NRA shirt on Facebook, the Big Green Weenie is going to fuck your military career to death.

12 Army National Guard members removed from inauguration duty

Twelve Army National Guard members have been removed from inauguration duty in Washington, DC, as part of the security vetting process initiated, in part, to ensure troops tasked with securing Wednesday’s ceremony in the nation’s capital do not have ties to extremist groups, the Chief of the National Guard Bureau said Tuesday.

Two of the individuals were flagged due to “inappropriate” comments and texts, Army Gen. Daniel Hokanson told reporters after a defense official told CNN earlier Tuesday that they were removed over possible links to extremists.
The other 10 Guard members were removed for questionable behavior found in the vetting process, Hokanson said, emphasizing that this does not necessarily mean they have ties to extremists, but simply that they were “identified” and removed from service “out of an abundance of caution.”
