So, where to begin?

Many/most/all of us in the gun rights and concealed carry community already believe that concealed carry is a Constitutional right.  It’s right there in the text of the Second Amendment, ” the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”  The operative word being “bear” meaning to carry them around outside of our homes.  This was the decision that the 7th Circuit came to in Moore v. Madigan.  We’ve been waiting for the Supreme Court to affirm that.

We hope that the Supreme Court decision will override many state and local restrictions on the ability to bear concealed arms in public because they are overly onerous and excessively restrictive of the right.  This is exactly why the Supreme Court exists.

This is the part that should shock the shit out of everyone.  This is an admission that the entire reason to pack the court is to put a bunch of partisan justices on the Court to vote exclusively in ways that the Democrats want, with no consideration for the Constitutionality of the law.  Just four rubber stamps for Biden and the Democrats in robes.

We all knew this was the plan but he admitted it out loud.

Moreover, what does “endless mass shootings” have to do with concealed carry?  Which CCW permit holders are out there committing these mass shootings?

Again, what does concealed carry have to do with mass shootings other than act as a tool to prevent them.  And what association is there between concealed carry and an increase in homicides?

The 30% increase in murders going on in this country is happening in the Blue City urban hellholes that don’t have concealed carry.

Every assertion he makes about concealed carry in this thread is wrong and the only way he sees to stop the Court from affirming a right is to have the Democrats go full tyrant and upend checks and balances of our system.

And God knows what will happen when that Rubicon is crossed.

I really, really, really want the Supreme Court to affirm that the Second Amendment means the right to shall-issue concealed carry.

I’m sure that Justices Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett will come down on the side of the Second Amendment.  Justice Alito is the make-or-break, is he a real Conservative or not.  Chief Justice Roberts is a fucking spineless worm and I don’t trust him.

My only hope is that Alito and Roberts both were in the majority for Heller v. DC and McDonald v. Chicago.

If we’re lucky, all the Leftists in New York, California, and elsewhere will be so triggered by the idea of shall-issue concealed carry that they all have aneurysms and strokes.

Maryland to investigate Derek Chauvin defense witness’ tenure as state’s chief medical examiner

Maryland officials will conduct an investigation into all deaths that happened in police custody that were overseen by the state’s former chief medical examiner, who testified as a defense witness in the trial for former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, Maryland attorney general and governor’s offices announced Friday. Chauvin was convicted last week of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd,

Dr. David Fowler, who was Maryland’s chief medical examiner from 2002 to 2019 and is now a member of a consulting firm, testified that the primary cause of Floyd’s death was a sudden heart rhythm disturbance during police restraint due to underlying heart disease.

The announcement of the investigation came from Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan on Friday, less than 24 hours after the Attorney General’s Office received a letter from Washington, D.C.’s former chief medical examiner Roger Mitchell, and signed by 431 doctors from around the country, saying Fowler’s conclusions were so far outside the bounds of accepted forensic practice that all his previous work could come into question.

“Dr. Fowler’s stated opinion that George Floyd’s death during active police restraint should be certified with an ‘undetermined’ manner is outside the standard practice and conventions for investigating and certification of in-custody deaths,” the letter said. “This stated opinion raises significant concerns for his previous practice and management.”

This is retribution.

A bunch of doctors don’t like that a fellow colleague agreed to be an expert witness for the defense and so wrote a letter to have the governor destroy his career.

The purpose of this is clear, silence experts who agree to work for the defense in high profile and contentious cases.

Without the ability to call witness, a defendant cannot adequately defend himself.

This is on the heels of the vandalism of the former house of the use-of-force expert for the defense. 

These people are utterly destroying the court system. This is full on Klan tactics.

Everything our heath officials did was wrong.

They collapsed our economy for nothing.

They mandates useless masks after lying about them.

They shut down the schools and isolated children until more kids killed themselves than died of COVID.

They increased the mortality rate of every other disease, including alcoholism and drug addiction, but stopping treatment because of the worry over COVID hospital capacity.
