It was the Oscars last night and keeping with my decades long tradition, I ignored it. Other than the controversy for Best Actor going to Anthony Hopkins rather than Chadwick Boseman because he was black and died (albeit wrong cause of death to win an Oscar this year), nothing seems to be interesting. except the usual hypocrisy.
I guess being in the opposite corner of Antifa HQ in the Northwest and being populated with people who know what Socialism really is, has the benefit of not seeing many young dumbasses trying to sell you Marxist crap and getting violent about it.
Announced for last Saturday we had this:
I kept an eye on the news and Twitter and not a peep. Total radio silence. I poked around some when I saw the Miami Dade Antifa and the South Florida Antifa logos, but again, other than a couple of mentions about a march on the 19th that again, nobody heard about, I bumped into this:
Right out of the bat, the dark skies and trees lacking leaves rang the BS alarm at 150 decibels. I clicked on the link and the page for some DJ from some Hip Hop local station popped up:

And of course, readers with keen eyes may have noticed that people are dressed kinda warm for the usual South Florida weather. I know we complain that any day under 60 degrees makes us break the parkas, but have been running the AC full time for several weeks now. I decided to check with NOOA for the temperatures on that day:
Not only it was warm but we tied the record for the high from 1969. After doing some Google Image sleuthing, it turns out the photo was taken in Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis and it was a protest for the death of Duante Williams.
You gotta love South Florida: The only way to get Antifa/BLM is to fake it.
