America is going to be all shiny and chrome

The Colonial Pipeline, which is the largest petro-products pipeline that runs from refineries in the Gulf Coast supplying fuel up the East Coast was hit with a ransomware attack.

It shut down and now parts of the East Coast are running out of gasoline.

In, what is perhaps the absolutely worst policy decision in the long, terrible history of Joe Biden policy decisions, a decision so bad it should cost him his Presidency the end of the week, the Biden Administration decided to sit out the East Coast running out of gasoline as a private-sector decision.

Of all the dystopian series that the Left has been drawing from recently, 1984, V for Vendetta, Brave New World, Harrison Bergeron, there was one that I never thought they would bring about, but they just did.

I’ve seen a future in which society is run by a crazy old man named Joe and there is a shortage of gasoline and ammo.

I’m about to move to North Carolina.

Maybe, before I head out, I should get a tanker full of guzzaline and caravan out like this:

NY Daily News attacks a Democrat for not being Anti-Semitic

Defund the police NYC comptroller candidate gave cash to private Hasidic watch groups

Comptroller candidate and City Councilman Brad Lander has been a vocal supporter of defunding the police, but when it comes to a private police force that serves Brooklyn’s Hasidic communities, he’s been a lot more forthcoming with cash.

From 2011 to 2015, Lander, a Democrat who represents Park Slope and Carroll Gardens, doled out $30,000 to the Shmira Civilian Volunteer Patrol of Boro Park for providing security in the neighborhood, Council records show.

City Councilman Brad Lander (D-Brookyn) is running for comptroller. (Jeff Bachner/)

But his past support of the Shomrim patrol has raised hackles among fellow political lefties.

“He was funding an organization that hasn’t been trained as well as the police department has been trained. It’s incapable of handling situations like it should,” said Lander’s longtime colleague Councilman Danny Dromm (D-Queens). “If Brad really believes in deescalation and defunding the police, he should find groups that are trained in deescalation.”

Dromm also accused the Shomrim of being “notoriously homophobic” for not hiring gays.

Every Democrat in NYC was on board with defunding the police.  The fucking mayor wanted to defund the police.

Hell, after watching the NYPD persecute the Orthodox community over COVID, I’m fine with defunding the police.

The Shomrim have their problems, but under de Blasio, the NYPD turned a blind eye every time the city’s diversity smashed the windows of a Synagogue or sucker-punched a Jew.   The Shomrim is the first and (practically) only line of defense for the Orthodox who have been ignored by the NYPD when they are attacked and targeted by the NYPD for COVID oppression.

The problem here is that the Democrats hate the Orthodox in particular and practicing Jews in general, and a Democrat who gives money to the Shomrim is insufficiently anti-Semitic for the Democrat party.

The Democrats do not tolerate members falling out of lockstep and the goosestep the Democrats are doing right now is against the Jews.  That was Lander’s crime and why they printed this hatchet job against him.

I might start a GoFundMe for this

This is true.  They did this in Portland.  They also used snow banks to stop cop cars from responding.

I did some searching and there are a number of used armored CIT (cash in transit) vehicles available.  Some built on pretty heavy chassis like International truck frames or Ford F-550 frames.

The problem is those are generally B4/NIJ IIIA rated against handgun rounds, not AR-15s.  The rifle resistant B6 vehicles are sedans or Suburbans for VIP protection.

Then I found it.

A used Blackwater Grizzly APC.

A 50 BMG resistant roadblock smashing goon-wagon with a top turret.

All I need is $129,000 dollars.

I generally don’t ask for money but I might GoFundMe for one of these.

Let Antifa block the roads, Grizzley MRAP don’t care.

I drink in her sadness like an elixir

Jill Filipovic is a feminist writer with a particular hatred of families and men’s rights.

The day before Mother’s Day she Tweeted this:

Somebody bought the feminist propaganda that what a woman needs to be happy in the long run is careerism and a closet full of name-brand clothes and accessories from disposable income.

The inescapable truth is that she can’t read bedtime stories to a Louis Vuitton purse and Prada heels will never say “I love you, mommy,” and she feels that acutely in the empty spot inside.

But as a good feminist, she can’t admit that her ideology has failed her, and the one accessory that her luxury apartment is missing is the one she cannot buy with all of her disposable income, the sound of children.

I find myself reminded of one of Cartman’s most evil moments:

So she has to sell to herself the idea that she was right by finding mothers who regret having children and secretly wish to spend their golden years surrounded by professional accolades and designer clothes instead of grandchildren.

Finding no mothers like this, she lashed out in anger.

I take so much indulgence in her misery because she posted this the day before Mother’s Day.

The Left can’t let a holiday go where they don’t publish OpEd’s shitting all over the holiday.

Clearly, she was trolling for fodder for an anti-mother article to publish on Mother’s Day.

She was left with only the anger and resentment of her emptiness and failure, both to have the love of a family and to write an article shitting on motherhood on Mother’s Day.

And because she wanted to ruin a holiday that celebrates motherhood and failed, I revel in her misery.

Learning mechanical offset the hard way

Definition of Mechanical Offset

The fact that you must zero your rifles and pistols is a result of the fact that you aim with sights or optics that are some distance above the center bore of your barrel. The spatial difference between the two is known as mechanical offset.

Florida Preemption affirmed by 1st District Court of Appeal.

In a win for Republican lawmakers and the National Rifle Association, an appeals court Friday upheld a 2011 state law that threatens tough penalties if city and county officials approve gun-related regulations.

A three-judge panel of the 1st District Court of Appeal rejected a challenge to the NRA-backed law by 30 cities, three counties and more than 70 local officials. A Leon County circuit judge in 2019 found that parts of the law were unconstitutional, spurring Attorney General Ashley Moody and Gov. Ron DeSantis to appeal.

NRA, GOP win as court upholds law preventing local gun control

This decision came down a month ago and it came to my attention last week. Florida’s State Preemption on Firearms had been take to court as unconstitutional, specially when it came to the hefty penalties applied to individuals in local government and the local government itself. The penalty to individuals is $5,000 and it is specially “harsh” because the law mandates that no public funding can be used to pay for it. Basically that the violating individual has to pay out of his/her pocket which is why I say this particular has teeth in it.

The local governments and officials did not challenge the underlying 1987 preemption law but contended the penalties in the 2011 law were unconstitutional. Friday’s ruling focused on arguments that the 2011 law should be rejected because of two legal concepts known as “government function immunity” and “legislative immunity.”

Judge Susan Kelsey, writing for the appellate panel, rejected the arguments and pointed to the state’s “superior authority in this context.”

Here is the text of the opinion and it slams the door pretty hard on the cities. The way I read it (IANAL warning) is they tried to go against the concept of preemption while saying they respected it (contradictions are never good) and also tried to inject separation of powers and Federal stuff that did not apply remotely to the case. The concept of state preemption is pretty well established in Florida with several prior cases already decided in favor of it as I read in the opinion, so in my untrained eye, this looked more like a legal Hail Mary/Propaganda move.

I understand a bit more the opposition Democrats had this year to SB 1884 “expanding” preemption of firearms to cover also unwritten gun control policies and allowing plaintiffs who sue local governments to get paid even if the elected officials dump the policy before the judge comes with a decision. Once becoming a law, this opinion by the 1st District Court of Appeals makes it all but impossible to challenge.

And cases like this are the little obscure things we don’t pay attention to because (to paraphrase from the film “The Firm”) they are not “sexy” but got teeth and go a long way to keep the grubby hands of the Gun Controllers from infringing in our rights.

Wayne Tarrance : Get ’em with what? Overbilling, mail fraud? Oh, that’s exciting.
Mitch McDeere : It’s not sexy, but it’s got teeth! Ten thousand dollars and five years in prison. That’s ten and five for each act. Have you really looked at that? You’ve got every partner in the firm on overbilling. There’s two hundred fifty acts of documented mail fraud there. That’s racketeering! That’s minimum one thousand, two hundred fifty years in prison and half a million dollars in fines. That’s more than you had on Capone.

Saint Patrick made Ireland snake-free, but not idiot free.

What The Holy Flock?

Pardon me for stating the obvious, but I believe wheelchair people already are effing seated!
