Opa-Locka PD: Man Shoots Boy After Mistaking Paintball Gun For Real Deal – CBS Miami (cbslocal.com)

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — A 10-year-old boy has been shot and wounded after homeowner mistook his paintball gun for the real deal.

Michael Williams, 26, told Opa-locka police his son begged him to drive by a home where young people were gathered Sunday night so he could fire his paintball out the window, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Wait one minute. This “father” thought it was a good idea to allow his son to do a mock drive-by shooting? Is he stupidly insane? What kind of crap is he teaching his kid? Is this like a Father-Son bonding thing? “Daddy Took Me To My First Drive-By.” ?

Williams drove by the home as his son fired off several rounds, police said. The homeowner confused the paintball for real gunfire, telling police he thought his family was being attacked. He fired one shot, which struck the child.

This is Opa-locka we are talking about, unfortunately not one of the best neighborhoods in the county crime-wise so a barrel of a gun sticking out of the window of a slow moving vehicle does not say “prank” but “lots of bullets are coming your way to kill you.”

But wait, there is more!

The boy then lost his balance and was run over by his father’s vehicle, police said.

Oh for flock’s sake! Father of the Year award right there. But there is still an extra offering of stupid by dear daddy.

No additional details on the child’s injuries or condition were released. Williams drove the child home and his mother called 911, according to police.

What was he going to do? Slap a band-aid, give him a couple of ibuprofen and wipe off the tire marks and the blood of him before going to bed for the night?

The Miami Herald reports the father was charged with child neglect with great bodily harm. According to a police report, Williams “acted recklessly by agreeing to conduct a drive-by paint ball shooting,”

That is a second degree felony which can bring him 15 years in prison. And he should serve every frigging second of it for being that monumentally stupid.

When the word “expecting” is used in the context of babies, it is implied that we have on of the duo in actual pregnancy and ready to bring a creature to this world.

But what this is is announce to the world they are cooking supper for the family but in reality what people get is pizza delivered from the available neighborhood franchise. Throwing a credit card payment there does not constitute culinary skills and the same principle applies for expecting a child.

All of them call Biden a liar and refute this claim.

Biden is a liar and this claim is total bullshit.

The problem is that Conservative Twitter underestimates the danger of this.

The point of this mendacity is simple, to justify the weaponization of the entirety of the intelligence, counter-terrorism, federal law enforcement, and local and state law enforcement communities against predominately white, middle and working-class, Middle-Americans, the Trump demographic.

The edifice exists, Bush Republicans built it after 9/11.  The Department of Homeland Security, the PATRIOT Act, everything that was created to fight radical Islamic terrorism coming from overseas to America.

Right now they can’t turn DHS, FBI, and especially the CIA against Americans with the full force that they want, it will upset the normies.  If they can sell the idea that “white supremacism” i.e., “Trump voters” are worse than Al Qaeda and 1/6 was worse than 9/11, they can convince the normies that it’s fully justified to go after Americans with the intensity and ferocity that they went after other terrorist cells.

If Trump voters are just as bad as Al Qaeda, why not be able to send them to Gitmo and waterboard them for shitposting MAGA memes on Facebook.

They are going to sell this bullshit until normies don’t object to having MAGA hat-wearing family members bagged and hauled off to a black site.

I guess being let of of jail with minimal consequences repeatedly gives the impression that a person can do anything and get away with it.

This man is a habitual offender but Progressives keep letting him out.

That he sucker-punched an old woman is no surprise.

Don’t worry, he’ll be let out again and eventually he’ll kill someone.
