The administration is also planning to increase the share of federal contracts that go to “small disadvantaged businesses” to 50% over the next five years. The White House says that will provide an additional $100 million to those businesses.

I’m glad I’m getting out of contracting.  I have no desire to play the identity politics game to get money to do work for the woke military.

I know all about “well, just put the company in your wife’s name” that some contractors do.  But it’s insulting and demeaning to have to play those sorts of games where you hide  behind windows dressing to do a job.

The defense contracting world is going to be depopulated by skilled people who don’t want to jump through racist hoops to do a job.

This government is going to destroy everything great about America before they are trough.

Friday’s march concluded around 11:30 pm without much fanfare. Word began to spread that Ngo was in the crowd—disguised and wearing a Black Lives Matter flag around his shoulders.

A group of five to 10 people in identity-obscuring clothing called “black bloc” followed the person they suspected of being Ngo for blocks, inquiring who he was. At one point, the person they pursued said his name was Jake. In front of the AC Marriott, the group tried to unmask the unknown man. He ran for blocks until someone in the pursuing group tackled him—at Southwest 4th Avenue and Morrison Street—and punched him several times after his head hit the brick sidewalk.

Apparently it was not Andy Ngo, just somebody who looked oriental and that was enough to go after and punch him. You see,  for racists, all Orientals look alike.

So we have a black locksmith changing a lock.

Someone, presumably a neighbor, called the police to report a person fucking with the lock.

The police arrive.

TikTok ensues.

The replies are full of people hating on the police and the neighbors who called in the complaint.

Well, fuck…

I only have this one video to go by, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say most of the people in this situation, and the commentators are wrong.

First, that’s a lot of cops.  I have written about the problems with too many police responding to a scene.  Often control is lost, officers will give contradictory orders, people get shot.  I understand the point of backup in a violent situation but having half a dozen cops continue to roll up on a scene in which violence is not happening presents dangerous command and control issues.

I will give credit to the officer on the scene with the stripe on his sleeve, that he seemed polite and professional.  Officer suppressed AR seemed a little over the top.

Legitimate criticisms of police are legitimate.  Let’s not go reflexive “the Left is anti-cop so we have to Back the Blue at all costs” stupidity.

Second, the locksmith.  He has every right to record his encounter, not arguing that.  But you can tell his ego got in the way of his brain.

Police are approaching him about fucking with a lock.

Where is it that he says: “Officer, here is my ID, my locksmith licence, and my work order to change this lock.  You can contact my boss at XXX-XXX-XXXX to verify this or here is the contract signed by the homeowner.”

Why make it more difficult than it needs to be?

Lastly, to the people attacking the neighbors who called in the complaint, I’ve written about this before too.  The Left utterly wants to destroy the idea of good neighbors and community, where people watch out for each other.

They want you to see someone fuck with your neighbor’s door lock and be more afraid of being called a racist for calling the cops than fear your community becoming unsafe and targeted for theft and home invasion.

Almost everyone involved in this, including the people responding online, are wrong, and only serve to make situations like this more wrong in the future.

Yuh-Line Niou is a New York State Assemblywoman.  She supports bail reform, defunding the police, and every other Progressive soft-on-crime policy that has caused NYC to have a massive violent crime surge.

She was called out for this, i.e., that her progressive policies have lead to this sort of thing becoming commonplace, and her retort is to claim that the people criticizing her are racist and misogynist.

It’s been said that a Conservative is a Liberal who’s been mugged.

If that’s true, I’ll give Liberals credit where credit is due, that at least Liberals can learn from their mistakes.

Progressives will die, or more accurately, cause other people to die, on the hill of never learning the lessons that come from their ideology confronting reality in horrific fashion.

It won’t matter how many elderly Asians are beaten up in her district by people with previous criminal records, Yuh-Line Niou, and her constituents will never say that her policies were wrong, only that the criticisms of her and her policies are racist and sexist.

Even when the evidence points to the probable cause, the Gun Control Narrative must be shoved down the throats of anybody listening no matter what.

The shooting early Sunday morning that killed two people and left 21 others wounded was likely a dispute between two rival groups that came to a head over things said in rap songs or social media posts, Alfredo Ramirez III, director of the Miami-Dade County Police Department told reporters during a press conference Monday morning.

Ramirez, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and other community leaders gathered outside of county police headquarters in Doral to update the case — one of the worst mass shootings in recent South Florida memory — and to plead with the public to help identify the shooters.

“These gun-violence-driven murderers, as it has been said eloquently before me, who are targeting individuals and at the same time hitting innocent people who have nothing to do with their beef, ruining families,” Ramirez said.

Did you like that title? Because whenever  possible, exaggerate concepts and inflame passions if it helps reach your goal.

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Keon Hardemon called the recent shootings “acts of domestic terrorism.”

“It’s meant to keep us from having a regular life in Miami-Dade County,” he said.

I have the feeling once it got out of the bag that this was just another nightclub shooting between rappers and minions, the interest among the public began to rapidly dissolve. It is impossible to understand a musical “culture” that may end with generalized shooting, specially when you live in a county where you have mass gathering of people enjoying tropical music concerts and you do not have mass shootings of any kind. Colombian and Dominican Independence parties are well know in South Florida for being rather populated affairs with music, dancing food and booze, and yet you are safe from hooded and masked individuals using you as target practice. Yet you can’t have a rap concert in a pool hall without ending in a hail of bullets because somebody probably disses somebody in their Instagram account. It does not get any more stupid than that.

But it is easier and safer to blame the Gun Culture (Perceived as All-White, a dumb thing to believe in South Florida) than actually stand up and condemn Rap/Gansta “culture” for fear of being tagged racist/Uncle Tom/Traitor.

And thus, the cycle continues and people will get shot again for a Your Mama So Fat joke or equivalent.

And about 7 weeks later, the National Firearms Act is enacted beginning the erosion of Gun Rights in the USA.
