The shooting happened at 3:42 a.m. in the 100 block of Tina’s Trail in Martindale. The sheriff’s office reported a homeowner had “confronted a suspicious vehicle parked outside the residence.” According to an incident report, a gray 2016 four-door Audi was towed from the scene.
…
Turner told investigators he had woken up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and on the way, realized a car he didn’t recognize was parked in his driveway next to his truck. Its headlights were off.
Turner told police he ran to get his gun from his room and when he came out the headlights were back on and the car “began to rapidly accelerate in reverse.” According to the affidavit, Turner chased it, hit the driver’s side window with his gun and then shot through it. He ran back inside to call 911, he told police.
With the usual caveat of only having the information provided by this article (actually one with a lot of information compared to the rest) I have to say Turner screwed up big time.
From a “tactical” point of view, why the heck are you breaching the safety of the house and go out in the middle of the night alone by yourself? It does not make sense. This goes under the principle “I am not afraid of the dark, but I am scared what is in the dark.” The victim turned out to be possibly and innocent driver, but could have been part of a Home Invasion crew about to hit your place and you just made the job for them so much easier. You wanna scared trespassers away? Turn on house lights, hit the panic button of your vehicle’ remote and raise unholy hell, jus “never get out of the boat!” to quote Apocalypse Now.
And from the legal standpoint (IANAL WARNING HERE) Turner has little chance to claim self-defense in any of its forms. Again and going only to what’s in the article, he was not in immediate threat, but he went after the victim and even shot when he was retreating. Some may claim that Turner was within the curtilage of his home this Castle Doctrine applies, but the little I have read about the use of curtilage tells me is a risky proposition even when all other elements of self defense may be present.
And the end of the investigation, Turner was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.
Stick this one in your memory banks because the lessons here are mandatory to be remembered.
What little I learned from Spain growing up had the little tidbit that the Canary Islands were volcanic. But since the volcanos had been dormant for so long, people thought they were extinct. Not so apparently
One of things I saw in the video was the amount of CO2 dumped in the atmosphere…per day
633 metric tons a day of CO2. That is 24,054 metric tons since it began with the festivities. I believe Spain is pretty much over the Emissions limit for the year.
That is just pretty. I always wanted a High Power which was the official sidearm of the Venezuelan military officers (and while we are at it, the FAL Paratrooper is also in my wish list) and I have not even been able to touch one, much less shoot it.
According to Springfield Armory, it is not just a reproduction but it has been modernized. Good! I heard it is retailing at $600 which means they are gonna sell like meth in Nashville on payday. Drawback? Only comes with one magazine.
I subscribe to two newspapers: The Tennessean based out of Nashville and the Daily News Journal that covers Murfreesboro. And to answer your why, is because where else the politics of the other side are going to be available for reading? Both publications are owned by the Ultra Liberal/Anti Gun Gannet Corporation and if you read Lee Williams, you are pretty much informed about their politics.
Neither one of the papers is conservative, but I am guessing you’d be suspecting that. So I know to filter the info through the appropriate decoder rings and not expecting much in the manner of facts. I will begin with The Tennessean and then transition to the DNJ and since they are both nearby papers owned by the same master, you will fins a lot of duplicated articles.
And that brings us to today’s festivities. I initially saw this article in The Tennessean and I had to laugh at the “Democrats and civil rights groups call the map unfair” thinking that would also have to apply to Dr. King’s quote about the content of character. Then I went to the DNJ, glanced over the same article, dismissed it and continued to other pages, but in the back of my mind, a little emergency bell was ringing. I went back and I noticed the crafty difference.
t is the same article written by the same individuals and it has the same design overall, but while The Tennessean’s is a somewhat neutral headline, the DNJ’s hints of something that is shady and mislabeled with the GOP actions.
But it is not something we were not expecting, weren’t we?
I was desperate to believe that this is a parody account.
As far as I have been able to determine it is not.
The account belongs to a co-founder of a legitimate Left wing magazine based out of Burlington, Vermont.
Except this time liberals like me are actively working to bring lasting damage to those people by exporting their jobs and replacing them with much better immigrants. Sucks for them that they chose to be against us, now they must suffer.
Just accept your defeat as it will be the least painful path for you. We liberals control all of society’s institutions that are erasing your culture and economic well being.
I dont see Republicans controlling any major portion of our GDP? Our lesser Americans only seem to be able to do country work that can be done by any foreigner, for less. And without getting uppity.
I mean he fully admits that the Left hates us, sees us as lesser, and using illegal immigrants, outsourcing, academia, pop culture, and the economy to destroy our way of life, and if we truly resist, they will kill us with the power of the military.
He’s like a Bond villain revealing his evil plan because victory is so assured that he just can’t be stopped.
I think that’s the one thing he’s gotten wrong.
He just doesn’t realize that the men who just want to be left alone are still hanging onto normalcy by their fingertips.
