Somebody was worried that me being the ornery individual that I am and J. Kb. not being a slouch himself, the possibility of bad blood might be present because we have different views on a subject. Fret not.
The deal I made with was he got to write pretty much what he wants to and only to keep it clean enough to show it to grandma. Of course, I open my mouth and you’d think I had Ma Baker as kin.
So don’t worry. There is no bad blood and you will continue to see contradictory posts in the future. He has his view and I am humble enough to accept there is a infinitesimal possibility in the quantum realm that he might be right…once. 🙂
I didn’t see anything wrong with it. Sometimes folks simply take different positions — that doesn’t mean there’s a rift.
We will sit on the sidelines and referee & when its over we will arm chair quarterback yall to death hahahahaha. No worries here, now you boys play nice
Respectful disagreement is healthy.
It also confuses the left, who see disagreement as proof the other person is evil.
Thank you Miguel. I followed your blog for years before you invited me to write for you because I respect your opinion.
Yes, we disagree, but I’ve always found it to be respectful disagreements on certain points and I appreciate you allowing me the freedom to express myself.
Try number three:
I really appreciate the differing points of view. The fact that we don’t all walk in lock step is a great thing. I know that if I were to visit HuffPo, Washington Post, NYT or Politico I will find that all of the articles are of the form “Orange Man Bad Causes Gun to Shoot People” and “NRA Evil!” Everyone in lock step with every other.
When I read contradictory posts from Miguel and J.Kb it makes me think. It helps to clarify the situation. It leads me to do more research, following the provided links, looking elsewhere for information. It drives me to make an informed opinion.
It is also the case that it shows that people can hold contradictory opinions and NOT attack each other. That you can disagree with somebody and still respect them.
Thank you to both of you. Please continue to write contradictory articles when you feel it is the right thing to do.
