WASHINGTON — New York state said Thursday that it needs at least an additional $60 billion in direct federal funding along with millions of dollars more from Medicaid and FEMA formula changes in the next coronavirus aid package being crafted in Congress.

New York’s massive request, which is part of the National Governors Association’s bid for $500 billion for all states and territories, would be spread over three fiscal years, unrestricted and could be used for revenue shortfalls, according to the association.

NY seeking $60B in federal funding because of coronavirus impact

How about go f*** yourself. Or better yet, raise your income tax to 70% and start raiding your ultra rich politicians and celebrities living in the Big Apple. Why should the Fly Over Country you guys despise has to bail you out?

It has been New York who forced the rest of the country to act like we were about to be part of a disaster movie and had to shut down rather than enact measured restrictions. And to top it all off, when we decide it is enough and open our beaches, the assholes in the NY Media  cover us under #CoronaIdiots and make fun of us while your God Governor Cuomo is shoving sick people into nursing homes and mixing them with elderly patients that had not contracted the disease.

Seriously, F*** Off.

  1. Don’t quote me on this, but I think I read somewhere that Pelosi wanted 1 trillion for California. It’s insane. I’m wondering what’s going to happen when Cuomo finally realizes that Trump and the Republicans aren’t going to help. He can point his finger and dump all the blame he wants on them, but when the dust settles, Cuomo’s name is going be associated with the downfall of NY. He’s the governor, he’ll own it. Is he going to try to turn the voting base against Trump? NYC carries the state and will go blue not matter what. The rest of the country doesn’t care. Cuomo is going to find himself in a politically toxic situation very soon.

  2. Let’s see if I’ve got this right. NY State was on a crash and burn trajectory well before the WuFlu pandemic hit, due to public sector pension obligations that could not be met by existing revenues.

At the beginning of the pandemic, Cuomo and deBlasio excoriated President Trump’s travel ban to and from China as “racist”. DeBlasio also urged New Yorkers to attend Lunar New Year’s celebrations in Chinatown.

Cuomo then begged President Trump to send the Military in to build hospitals and send a hospital ship to ease the burden on existing hospitals. Cuomo begged the rest of the country to send help including personnel and equipment to help fight the virus. The president and the rest of the country responded by sending more help in less time than was thought possible, yet President Trump has blood on his hands for not figuring out in December that this virus would become a global pandemic.

Rich New Yorkers fled NYC to the Hamptons, Florida, Idaho, Colorado and other haunts of the rich and arrogant taking the WuFlu with them.

Despite having excess hospital capacity, nursing home patients with WuFlu are sent back to their nursing homes with their own personal body bag by order of Cuomo.

All those healthcares care workers who left their homes and families and risk their lives to help out NYC, but were being paid by their employers back home now have to pay income taxes to NY and NYC on those wages, because NY is $13 Billion in debt. Now Cuomo has the gall to demand that the rest of the US pony up $60 billion.

After all that, they can’t figure out why the rest of the country doesn’t love ’em.

  3. Remember when states used to fight one other with their respective militias? Why’d we stop doing that?

    1. Reasonably certain that if another state’s militia invaded NY, most of the upstaters would welcome them as liberators.
