In a new report from Newsweek, an audit conducted by software company SparkToro found that nearly half of President Joe Biden’s Twitter followers, which is currently at 22.2 million, are fake accounts. Notably, the software company found that 49.3% of accounts following Biden’s “@POTUS” Twitter account were “fake followers”. SparkToro defines a “fake follower” as “accounts that are unreachable and will not see the account’s tweets (either because they’re spam, bots, propaganda, etc. or because they’re no longer active on Twitter).”

It was easy to do with ballots and would only have taken a bit more effort and cash to do it this way.

Saw a post from Creepy Uncle Joe and nearly all positive comments and reactions (at least on the first and second glance) were “foreign” names, mostly Indian or Arabic with 08/15 copy-paste comments.
Pretty sure that where also either bots or fake accounts, maybe paid, maybe not.

DJT Jr. posted a tweet about bots. Something along the lines of how unlikely the response time is for a lot of replies. He said a lot of replies show up before your average reader could even read the tweet, and formulate any reasonable response.

I think, if you get rid of the bots, Twitter will lose about 1/3rd of the users, probably a measurable amount of the blue checks.
Musk’s leak says it’s closer to 90% fake.
I think the 90% is a lowball estimate.
