Just had this popped in my timeline:

Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said the white man in his 20s had carjacked and stabbed an Uber driver earlier Tuesday evening in neighboring Broward County.

Deputies stopped the vehicle around 8 p.m. and the man got out holding the knife, Bradshaw said. He added that deputies put some distance between themselves and the man, but the situation rapidly escalated when the man lunged toward them

Suspected Broward Carjacker Fatally Shot by Deputies in Palm Beach County: Sheriff

I am sorry if I am a bit sceptic of the reasons for mentioning the skin color of the deceased other than trying to avoid BLM to set shit on fire and go loot stores in the name of racial equality and whatever other happy horseshit they would blab about.

  1. Black suspect shot by police during the commission of a crime == Burn down the neighborhood.

White suspect shot by police during the commission of a crime == *crickets*

So what it sounds like is, for all the rhetoric about police shootings, it’s OK when police shoot white suspects. Just not black ones.

That’s some “racial equality” right there.

My liberal friends on social media continually tell me that “all lives matter” isn’t an appropriate response to “black lives matter”, because saying “black lives matter” doesn’t mean that non-black lives don’t matter.

And then we have this. There are no “protests” over the officer-involved shooting of a white suspect, nor will there be. And even the police spokespeople have figured that out and included the suspect’s race in the press releases to preempt the outrage and violence.

It sure makes it look like, in contrast to what I hear from my liberal friends, white lives don’t matter after all, which means all lives DON’T matter.

Again, “racial equality”, as used in this context, isn’t.

  2. Saying “all lives matter” will actually get you canceled.
Strangely enough, as recently as early this year it was ok; in fact, the phrase was used by pro football player Richard Sherman without objections at the time.

  3. I used to claim that systemic racism did not actually exist. I cannot locate any evidence of institutionalized racism aside from some handpicked/manipulated stats. (And we all know that statistics always tell the truth.)

However, I am not above admitting I was completely 100% wrong.

Systemic racism does exist. It is racism carried out against whites.

  4. idk, I was unaware that it went out of style, at least so long as the suspect is white. It always seems to be mentioned when that’s the case.

    1. The rule of thumb is that if race is not mentioned, it was black. If political party isn’t mentioned, it is Democrat. I remember reading an account of some bad event. After years the court ruled. I started reading and it wasn’t until the fifth page that I was able to determine the race of the thug. They were white.

In the 20+ years I’ve been playing: Guess the party and Guess the race. This was the first time I was wrong.
