1. While I LOVE that approach, what about the follow on shot? Will the guy with the pizza get to the front of the line in three weeks?

2. I’ve known a few Israelis. Decades of terrorism has caused them to eliminate a lot of bureaucracy when it comes to life saving policy. When bureaucrats get together to suck each other off and worry about how to save their budgets, a dozen terrorist cells have blown up school buses full of children.

   There is, of course, bureaucracy in Israel. But the Israeli people don’t tolerate it in life or death activities. Do what needs to get done and improvise is the Israeli attitude on that.

   American’s bureaucracy is the product of a century and a half of domestic peace and boardroom fighting.

The nation was founded in living memory, during a bloody war against genocidal foes that only happened because the bureaucrats at the UN were dithering… Which was a result of the British bureaucrats dithering for years before passing the buck to the UN… And all this within a few years of the National Socialists’ genocidal campaign against them a few years earlier, which was allowed to happen because dithering bureaucrats didn’t enforce treaty rules against Herr Hitler earlier in his administration.

      Frankly, it’s a wonder the Israelis even have so much as a PTA organization.
