I have been documenting case after case if what I call O’Sullivan’s officers.

The name comes from O’Sullivan’s First Law, which states: All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing.

The US military is perhaps the prime example.

The military is supposed to be politically neutral.

As a result, the top brass are ideologically on par with Slate.

Sweet.

The former commander of thr infantry school is an anti-gun activist.

The top brass in command of training the doers of violence for the US government are ideologically opposed to your Second Amendment rights.

That should scare the fuck out of you.

Who do you think will be tasked with civilian disarmament?

If push ever comes to shove, those who swore to uphold and defend the Constitution do not respect your Constitutional rights.

That does not bode well.

  1. “Weapon of war”…. Ya?? So??? THATS exactly what you want went evil comes sneaking into your house…. I am so sick of these self proclaimed experts tellinng citizens we dont need “weapons of war”. Fuk you

  2. You don’t get to be a flag officer (general, admiral) without being a political animal. Heck, getting to full Colonel has the same issue; that’s why you see a lot of good officers leaving at the rank of Lt. Colonel or Commander.

    * Normally I would add “in peacetime” but based on the past 50 years, perhaps not even in times of conflict.

  3. And…. what difference does it make?

I am a law abiding and responsible individual. What I own has no bearing whatsoever on your life. Who cares if I own a weapon of war, or a handful of marshmallows? If I own a nuclear bomb, it makes zero difference to your life, as long as I use it in a responsible and law abiding manner. (OK, granted there are not many “responsible” ways to use a nuke, but…)

But, no… because some retired General says it is a weapon of war, I should be disbarred ownership/use. Not because possessing that is inherently dangerous, but because someone I have never met, might commit a crime with a similar product.
