NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two young men are dead after a shooting in the parking lot of an East Nashville middle school, according to Metro Police.
Officers were called to Meigs Middle Magnet School on Ramsey St. around 7 p.m. Thursday and found the teenagers seriously injured, police said. One died at the scene and the other died a short time after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Police said no students were at the school when the shooting happened, but the entire incident was captured on the school’s security cameras.
In the video, officers said the two victims pulled into the parking lot in a white sedan. They were joined a couple of minutes later by another car. Two men exited that vehicle and got into the back seat of the white car. Multiple shots were fired before the two men got out of the back seat, went back into their car, and drove away.

“While it is unrelated to school operations, and no students or staff were involved, we will continue to be in close contact with the MNPD to ensure proper safety precautions are in place to ensure the safety of the school,” the MNPS spokesperson said.

Police say two men were killed an apparent targeted shooting in the parking lot of Meigs Magnet School. No children were present at the school during the shooting, and no activities were happening at the school Thursday night.
One died at the scene and the other transported to Vanderbilt Hospital where they passed, police confirm. The victims will be released at a later time, MNPD adds.

Meigs is a magnet school for 5th-8th grade. You basically have to have a 120+ IQ to even be considered for admission. When Braisted (who is a hard-left former journalist, BTW) says its not related to school operations I 100% believe him.
“School shooting” my great aunt Griselda! This was a drug deal gone sideways, nothing more. Our two Bible study students got ripped off and ventilated by the guys who had no intention of seeking them *drug-of-choice*.
I love that they admit their database is so “widely inclusive” that brandishing/displaying a gun — even if it’s not fired — is counted as a “school shooting”, along with bullets (possibly fired from miles away) hitting the building or landing on the grounds.

Probably like what happened in front of my Dads house years ago.
It was well after dark, and raining almost hard enough to take a shower outside, and his house is in an area where this kind of crap has NEVER happened.
Our daughter was in the den watching TV, we heard gunshots outside, and daughter yelled that she heard something hit the house. I dumped the lights in the house, grabbed my 9mm, and carefully looked around the edge of the front window, while dialing 911. Reported multiple shots fired. White car about 75 yards away to the right of the house, (as looking out the window,) stopped in the street, with the lights pointing down the street illuminating the street in front of our house. I could see a person laying in front of the car, and the dome light was on but I couldn’t see inside. 911 said to make sure the doors were locked and to not let anyone in. I answered anyone attempting forced entry was going to get thoroughly perforated. (Used that exact phrase.)
Anyway, after about 2 or 3 minutes, two local PD cars show up, followed by at least three sheriffs’ rigs a few minutes later, about 10 minutes later a tribal police car, (we’re close to a reservation,) and finally two different PDs from one small city about 7 miles away, and another one about 15 miles away. Cops all over the place!!
Ambulance shows up, packs up the guy in the street, and takes off. I could see the guy was pretty bloody, but appeared to be alive.
About that time, I walked out the front door into the covered car port and looked on the side of the house where the daughter heard something hit the house. I spotted bullet fragments on the ground in the driveway.
Got the cops attention, and they came over and taped it off and put evidence markers on the fragments.
Next day, we get a knock on the front door, and two deputies were doing follow up in the daylight. Turns out a guy had tried to hold up a couple of drug dealers, and it didn’t go as planned. The hold up guy was on the opposite side of the car from our house and dumped at least seven rounds towards and into the car. I showed the deputy where the bullet fragments had been, and he pointed to the side of the house where there was an impression of a bullet base in the siding. The round struck the brick column at the corner of the house, causing the round to rotate and ricochet into the siding, then bounce out into the drive way.
That impact point was about two feet away from where our daughters head had been when she was watching TV.
They found another hole in a fence and an impact point on the side of a neighborhood house about 100 yards down the road from our place in line with the edge of our house and where the car was.
Turns out the hold up guy was walking back in the rainstorm towards the reservation and the tribal cop had heard the BOLO and grabbed him on the way to the scene.
And, it only took a few seconds to have gun in hand, as I ALWAYS have something either >on< me, or within a few seconds of being grabbed, even when at home or pretty much anywhere…
Never let reality and facts get in the way of some good old fashioned propaganda….
