Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Dear Mr. Anti gun. That horse already left the stable, my guess is the Founding Father’s chained it open to keep even idiots free.
I always like the look on there face when they say “but you can’t own a tank”, and I respond with “say’s who” and make them look it up!
I know a guy with an M8 Grayhound armored car. He has the 37mm M6 gun in it, and it works. All he had to do is pay $200 for the NFA paperwork for the destructive device to make the gun operational.
There’s a few of the operational fighters in private hands, IIRC. They’re really high maintenance, like 6 or 10 hours of maintenance for every hour in the air. Pretty sure I remember an F-18 being sold on eBay. Found it
If you thought machine guns were a rich man’s toy, you aren’t thinking big enough.
What SiG said.
it’s not the purchase price, it’s having to keep 2-3 A&P guys with F-16 experience on the payroll 24/7, and keeping the parts in stock, so you could kick the tires and light the fires once in awhile.
It’d also make it work moving to a Class II-friendly state, but the months-long wait for the BATFE tax stamp for the 20mm would be an eternity.
Lottery win bucket list?
In a heartbeat!
Bonus: Never going through a TSA grab & grope line again.
