Seen the uptick in right-wing terror attacks at protests and want to invest in some ballistic protection? Here’s an article to get you started: https://t.co/gz3srIqYNi

More evidence they are preparing for war. Actual, factual war.
I keep saying, I want grenades. When a mob in armor is coming at me, my AR-15 loaded with green tip isn’t going to be enough.
But until I get grenades, I might consider a 458 Lott.
A steel plate may stop the bullet, but if it has enough energy to shatter a concrete block through the plate, that’s enough energy to crush a rib cage and rupture a pair of lungs.
Believe me, if I could afford a 50 BMG, at this point I’d own one.
It’s getting scary out there, stay safe.
I wonder how that plate would do against black tip .30-06 M2 AP.
As impressive as the 458 Lott may be, I’d offer that sufficient precision to achieve head shots at 400-600 meters makes it, and body armor, irrelevant.
Plus, the lower recoil of something in the 6.5 class allows for faster recovery between shots, making it easier to authoritatively deal with multiple miscreants at distance; perhaps investigating Creedmoor options in AR-10s might be worthwhile (AFAIK, there’s no AR-10 available in 26 Nosler, but if one is committed to a bolt rifle, that might be one to consider, especially if one seeks “authoritative dealing capability” in 4-digit disances).
And here I am still promoting classic hunting rounds.
A .358 Win or 9,3×62 is a ceramic plate shattering powerhouse and older rifles are cheap, precise and most of the time pretty durable.
Also ammunition may be not as common as 5.56 or .30-06 BUT in times like these that may be a plus because very few people use guns like this and stock up on the ammunition.
Add a modern monolitihic lead-free round to the mix and you got yourself an armor piercer.
I remember when Sandy Hook happened and ammo disappeared… except for .243. And hunting rounds in general, but .243 was always in stock every time.
Lesson; hunting rounds never go out.
9.3x74r for the win. Glad I’ve already got a great grandaddy of dangerous game guns/cartridge.
300RUM is fairly good at beating up plates.

Not really worried about any kind of armor if using any centerfire rifle cartridge. No one is taking a hit and just walking it off, it’s gonna hurt.
Hips and heads.
