Terrible idea

Based on Clockworkgremlin’s comment on Miguel’s most recent post I have decided some trolling is in order.

Next time some white guy goes on a mass shooting, I want to arrange an online protest condemning the shooter’s appropriation of Islamic culture.

See if I can make SJW heads explode.

All your fault

So it turns out that Keith Lamont Scott did have a gun on him when he was shot by Charlotte police, and that gun was, in fact, stolen.

Still, the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott is still all my fault and your fault.  I know it was my fault because Black Lives Matter says that my existence as a white person contributes to a system of oppression that murdered Scott because he was black.

It turns out that I (and you) are also to blame because we gun owners let too many of our guns get stolen, and we don’t report them as stolen when we find out they are missing.

This I don’t get.  It seems like according to Bloomberg, if I had a short stack of hundreds go missing, I’d be pissed.  If one of my Sigs grows legs and wanders off, I won’t care.  Really?

I know where all of my guns are.  With the exception of my bedroom gun and CCW piece, the rest are stored inside of a big steel box with a S&G lock on it.  Next step is to install an alarm and put a motion detector in the garage to watch over the safes while I’m not there.  If one of my guns goes missing, I’ll know it, and yes, I’ll tell the cops about it.  I’m not going to expose myself to the liability of having a crime pinned on me.

Buy a safe people.

I have been known to leave a gun in my car.  I’ve had to.  Some places don’t allow CCW and I’m not leaving my gun at home.  But this is too much of a temptation to criminals, who will break into cars and lock boxes for guns  so it’s still my fault when they steal them.  It is so much of my fault to temp criminals that if my gun is stolen, I should be prosecuted for endangerment.

Criminals just can’t help themselves.  If they know a gun is nearby, they just have to take it.  Then when they get killed by a cop for having a (stolen) gun on them, their blood is on my hands.

I’m sorry I didn’t know it was wrong to wear a skirt that was too short leave a gun in my trunk and get that poor criminal killed.  My bad.  Next time I’ll wear something less revealing leave my gun at home or better yet wear a burka not own one.

To the family of Keith Lamont Scott, I’m sorry your relative or one of his associates couldn’t help himself around some gun owner’s Colt Goverment 380 and had to pinch it, and that my white skin and the gun that I occasionally leave in my car got Keith killed.  I guess I learned my lesson for next time.

Profile of an idiot

Back to Everytown’s Facebook page.

I saw this comment by Mr Greg Brooks:

brooks-1

This really pissed me off.  As someone who works in the business of guns, I can assure you I do work.  As someone whose family owns a small business in retail and food service, I really can assure you that small business owners work, and work hard.  Small business ownership is the bedrock of the middle class and is responsible for 89.6% of the US economy.  But sure, shut them down.  Make them forfeit their inventory, their livelihood, their life’s work; bankrupt them, make them homeless, leave them without health insurance.  Believe me, when a small business goes under, the ramifications for the owners is devastating, not something you just walk away from.

Why would Mr. Brooks call for so much economic damage to be done to so many people by way of unjust government action?  He doesn’t like what they sell.  What a petty tyrant he is.

So I hopped over to Mr. Brooks Facebook page, and it seems he is obsessed with hating the NRA.

brooks-2

Seems that Mr. Brooks is not a fan of the 1st Amendment either.  I don’t know what ad he is talking about.  However, from the debate Hillary said this:

And I believe strongly that commonsense gun safety measures would assist us. Right now — and this is something Donald has supported, along with the gun lobby — right now, we’ve got too many military- style weapons on the streets. In a lot of places, our police are outgunned. We need comprehensive background checks, and we need to keep guns out of the hands of those who will do harm.

Admittedly, she didn’t call for a ban.  Maybe I’m reading a little too much between the lines, but saying “we’ve got too many military- style weapons on the streets” implies that she is going to reduce that number… hence, maybe a ban.

But running a campaign ad attacking Hillary, that’s not allowed.  That’s going to have to be stopped by this petty tyrant.

So I scroll down some more and see, once again, Mr. Brook reflexive desire to use government force to punish people he disagrees with.

brooks-3

The 2nd Amendment is out, the 1st Amendment is out, so why not throw out the 4th Amendment too and just engage in some seizure of private property against a group he disagrees with.

I figured like many a petty tyrant, he’s happy to have the government do his dirty work for him.  But as it turns out, he can be pretty violent himself.  Mr. Brooks posted a video of himself destroying a CCW class sign that was posted, and throwing the pieces of the sign off a bridge.

brooks-4

Not just is he a petty tyrant, he is his own gestapo.

He then goes on to post bad legal advice where he advocates going into people’s yards and taking down political signs he disagrees with, claiming it is public property.  I know Alabama is not Ohio, but if I followed Mr. Brook’s bad legal advice and measured the public road in front of my house this way, public land is half way up my front walk to my door, so something about what he says seems wrong.

brooks-5

So after posting how the NRA should be sued for a campaign ad, himself destroying someone else’s sign, and then advocating tearing down other people’s political signs, he posts this.

brooks-6

See, his speech is free.  Yours is not.  Don’t ever forget that.

Finally I had enough of this guy’s total and complete hypocracy.

First this:

brooks-7

Sure, the gun rights supporter has no empathy, but Mr. Brooks is happy to beat up people he who he disagrees with on the issue of gun control.

Then this:

brooks-idiot

My ownership of guns for personal defense is owning guns for the wrong reason, but don’t mess with Mr. Brooks because he has guns – and it’s implied that he will protect himself with them.

Looking through this man’s timeline, he is an angry person, filled with a lot of hate for gun owners, the City of Cincinnati, and a lot of the people he’s worked with over the years.  He thinks of himself as a good man, even though he loves to talk about beating up people he can’t see eye to eye with on certain political issues.  He loves posting “legalize marijuana” signs everywhere, but if you post a gun friendly sign, he’s taking it down.  He considers himself to be a great engineer, but seems to get fired a lot.

All in all, he’s  perfect example of the type of person we are up against.  A terrible, hypocritical,  petty tyrant.

Accessory after the fact

I spotted this comment over at the Everytown’s Facebook page regarding the Missoula, MT ordinance for background checks on all gun sales.

penny-blood

Seems that Ms. Blood knows that of a felon in possession and has not called 911 or told law enforcement about it.  She seems to know that what her daughter’s boyfriend’s father s doing is illegal, but has chosen not to inform the authorities.  She is happy to belong to a group that calls for more gun restrictions on people but she can’t be bothered to prevent a crime in her own backyard.

Close to home

Despite Alabama’s usual gun friendly nature, Alabama college campuses are gun free zones.

In the last two weeks there have been several sexual assaults on the campus of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU), joust outside of Huntsville.

The first assault involved three men in masks attacking a female victim.

The most recent assault involved two men in ski masks kidnapping a female student at gunpoint, forcing her into a car, and then assaulting her off campus.

Being a gun free zone, the two men in masks shouldn’t have been able to kidnap a young woman at gunpoint.  Guns on campus are banned so they shouldn’t have had them.  They really shouldn’t have.  Why didn’t these men obey the gun free campus signs?

Of course the students of AAMU can’t legally carry guns on campus if they have an AL CCW permit.  Why?  Because law abiding student follow the ruled.

Funny how that works, the criminals ignore the gun ban leaving law abiding students at a disadvantage.

The ban on gun on campus is about effective as you might believe in keeping students safe.

Target Practice

Green Party vice-presidential candidate Ajamu Baraka took to his blog to call for United Nations investigation and oversight of US police forces because of all the killing of black men they seem to have been doing recently.

Keep in mind that this is the same UN that failed to stop the genocide in Rwanda as well as other crimes against humanity in other nations like Haiti and Bosnia.

This is also the same UN that treats refugee centers like a harem, exchanging food for sex, and raping underage girls.

But sure… let these people in to control our police forces.

I don’t know if this is Baraka’s personal opinion or Green Party policy.  What I do know is that if this ever happened, blue helmets make great target practice.

Slower than LA Traffic

I am getting a little tired of people saying how scared they are of a Trump presidency.  I find both candidates to be horrifying.  Holistically, a Hillary presidency scares me even more.

This is why.

Our Constitution prescribes a separation of powers.  Three branches, Executive, Legislative, and Judicial, each checking the power of the other.  The Legislative branch is bicameral; the House of Representatives which is sized by population and represents the people, and the Senate which has equal representation for each state.

Our Founding Fathers did not want an efficient government.  Efficiency in government is a stepping stone to tyranny.  Our Founding Fathers wanted gridlock.  They wanted the branches to argue among themselves, holding up action, until only the best ideas managed to eek on through.

Trump is HATED by liberals.  Democrats in the House and Senate will not waste any time grid locking the system against Trump.  There are a few things the President can do on his own, but with a Congress gumming up the works, his power is limited.

Clinton on the other hand, I don’t see that happening.  Clinton has two weapons at her disposal, the Clinton reputation for playing dirty, and being a woman.  Republicans who gum up the works on her will first find themselves attacked for sexism.  If that fails to break them, Clinton’s mobster antics will.

There will be little effective resistance to the Clinton machine.

That terrifies me.
