When I last discussed the shooting of Dwyane Wade’s counsin, Nykea Aldridge, I said I was afraid that Wade would become just another anti gun celebrity.  Well… he did.

The NBA star said fiercer gun laws will help the police, and continues to have partnerships with law enforcement. Wade will hold an event in Miami later this month to promote cycling safety and unity in the community — and police officers plan to join him on the six-mile bike ride. “They are fighting a war,” Wade said of Chicago police. “And they can do a lot better, but they can get more help as well to do better. There’s other cities that have way tougher gun laws. We have weak gun laws.”

I want to know what weak gun laws in Chicago Wade is talking about?

Illinois requires a permit to own a gun, called a FOID, and the most restrictive shall issue CCW permit in the country

Chicago has an assault weapons ban, high capacity magazine ban, and has so many gun free “safe passage” and 430 ILCS 66/65 (no CCW allowed) zones, that CCW in Chicago is almost impossible (trust me, I lived there).

But this has nothing to do with Chicago gun laws.

The two men that shot his cousin were known gang members and felons, one on parole for gun crimes, who were trying to kill the driver of a car, when Ms. Aldridge got caught in the crossfire.  One of the shooters had a court ordered ankle monitor, but was allowed to take it off to look for work.

The police superintendent said the judicial system needs to demand more accountability for people convicted of gun offenses.  “This tragedy isn’t just noteworthy just because Ms. Aldridge has a famous family member,” Johnson said. “It’s noteworthy because these two offenders are prime examples of the challenge we face in Chicago with repeat gun offenders who don’t care who they shoot, don’t care whose life they take and clearly, clearly don’t fear the consequences of their actions.”

The Chicago Police Superintendent hit the nail on the head.  It’s not the gun laws, it is the culture of crime.  But like I predicted, that is harder to fight do Wade is going to do the useless work of making this a gun control issue.

I agree, school children should not have to worry about gun violence.  Too bad this note was written by a graduating senior from a Chicago South Side public high school.  Probably the valedictorian.

Allow me to don my tinfoil hat for the moment and engage in just a little bit of conspiracy theory:

Last week we found out that Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s body woman and second daughter, used to work for a radical Islamist magazine that blamed the US for 9/11 and said all sorts of other horrible things.

We found out that Huma Abedin was a key power broker at the Clinton Foundation, acting as the go-between for the Clinton Foundation and Hillary Clinton at the State Department, arranging meetings between donors and the Secretary of State.

We know that Huma Abedin mishandled classified information and Judicial Watch has a whole file on her potentially criminal activities  with more documents being poised to be leaked containing God knows what about her.

Lastly, we know that Abedin and Weiner have close ties with the Clintons, Bill Clinton presided over their wedding.

So on Monday, we find out that the disgraced former Congressman, Anthony Weiner, has been sexting again and his wife, Huma Abedin has decided to separate from him.

To me, this just seems too convenient.  A lot of bad Huma press hits the wire and now her husband is caught being a perv in public again and she files for divorce.  It is a total distraction from Huma’s malfeasance, and a distraction that garners her a lot of sympathy.

I wonder if this is a set up.  If the Clintons got Weiner to dive on his sword to take the heat off of Huma.

Or maybe it’s just one big coincidence.

You just can’t trust those lizard people that the Illuminati put in power her on Earth to breed with our human women, to control themselves on the internet.

On Saturday, 8/27/2016, NBA Star Dwyane Wade’s cousin, Nykea Aldridge was killed in a shooting in Chicago.  She was one of nine people killed, with 40 more wounded, in shootings in the Windy City this weekend.

This is a man in mourning, so I don’t want to be overly critical, but his cousin was not killed for “NO REASON.”  True, she was not targeted in any way, and her death is tragic and senseless, but there is a reason that she was killed.

A cultural rot at the heart of Chicago’s predominantly poor and black south side.   This interactive map gives you an idea of the danger zones in Chicago.

So what cultural rot am I talking about?  The two men that shot Nykea Aldridge were known gang members.  Both had previous felony conviction, one was on parole and the other had been wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the shooting.  It should be crystal clear, that these men where both prohibited persons and could not lawfully possess guns or have been issued FOIDs.

Chicago has some of the worst gang culture and gang violence in the country.  This is in part fueled by a black unemployment rate that is one of the worst in the country for metropolitan areas, with a staggering 47% of young black males neither working or in school.  Illinois’ welfare policy encourages single mothers not to work perpetuating a cycle of unemployment and poverty.

The animosity between this community and police is both horrifying and protects criminals.  Young men harass the police who try to solve these murders  and treat black cops as race traitors.

(I can talk all day about the abuses of the Chicago PD, but if a community won’t even let the police try to solve the murders in their area, all hope is lost)

Stop Snitchin’ (available on YouTube) may have gained national notoriety in Baltimore, but believe me, as a former resident of the area, it alive and well (and heavily enforced) in Chicago.

The Chicago political machine is more than complicit in these murders and the deterioration of the City as city elected officials and politicians rely on gangs to “get out the vote” to keep them elected.

All of this leads to deadly spiral of calamity and is the root cause of why Nykea Aldridge was killed.

I’m afraid (call me skeptical) that this will turn into just another anti-gun push by a celebrity.  That will be just another useless, worthless, platitude that won’t stop another pair of prohibited persons from obtaining an illegal firearm and opening fire for whatever gang related reason they have.

Look at how it is framed. This guy, with an AR and body armor, wanted to go on a rampage to protect the Second Amendment.  He must have been one of those awful NRA members right?  We all know how often pro-2A terrorism occurs, don’t we (hint: never).

I went to the article and had a read.

Bryce Cuellar, 24, was arrested by Las Vegas police after they were notified by Interpol in July about Cuellar’s video.  In the video, Cuellar stated that he is tired of the government trying to take away his First and Second Amendment rights and planned to go on a killing spree.

Uh oh.  This isn’t good.  This is the kind of Timothy McVeigh/Turner Diaries talk that the left likes to claim is said behind closed doors at NRA meetings and Tea Party rallies.  This one of those dangerous gun owning “insurrectionists” that MDA and Everytown warn against.

Calling himself a “Christian warrior,” Cuellar bragged that he would use his weapons as the Founding Fathers intended, killing,” gays, faggots, lesbians and satanists.”

Now I’ve read the Constitution of the United States, many of the Federalist Papers, the Silence Dogood letters, and a lot of the personal correspondence of our Founding Fathers in which they explained the principles they held (Jefferson’s are quite good).  I don’t seem to remember any mention of “killing faggots or satanists” in any of those texts.  We’re drifting away from strict Constitutional interpretation here.  We’ve left behind the 1st Amendment, which protects Satanists, and have grossly misinterpreted the 2nd Amendment.  I’m not thinking this guy is really a gun-rights and free speech advocate.

A review of Cuellar’s YouTube page reveal a collection of conspiracy-minded videos including ones that question what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary, support for the Bundy family’s war on the government, the threat of the Illuminati  and proof that angels and demons are real. Investigators say the timeline of his videos suggest that he has sunk deeper in the world of conspiracy mongering over the past three years.

Now this is starting to make sense.  As it turns out, this guy is – and I am being technical here – batshit crazy.

Following his arrest, Cuellar admitted to making the video but said that he was “angry and drunk” at the time, and has no intention of murdering anyone.  Despite that, Cuellar is being held on $100,000 bail and has been admitted for a psychological evaluation.  The Las Vegas man’s next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 1.

And there we go.  Cuellar is headed to a padded room.

I hopped over to this guy’s YouTube channel.  It is a treasure trove of insanity.  The Illuminati are using the CIA to brainwash us, dinosaurs are real, Noah’s Ark has been found and Obama is covering it up, Oprah is a shape shifter, Aliens and Demons have taken over the US government, and ONE video on the 2nd Amendment.

I was doing a bit more on research on this story and found out it was covered by the NY Daily News.  Unbelievably, the NY Daily News actually had a more honest headline:

A little less “it’s all about the 2A” and a little more “this guy’s a homophobic nut job.”  And this is coming from a newspaper that did several covers claiming that the NRA and Wayne LaPierre were terrorists.

Pro Tip: When the NY Daily News is more honest about guns then your news source, you fucked up.

Turns out, the NY Daily News also has better reporting than the MDA’s news feed.

He told officers that he “screwed up” by shooting and posting the video when he was drunk and angry.  Cuellar was also arrested the same night for punching his wife, choking her and telling her he was going to kill her, according to KTNV.  He is currently serving four months in jail for domestic battery in that case.

Oh shit!  He’s a domestic abuser.  He’s now a prohibited person according to the Lautenberg Amendment.  I’m totally fine with this guy losing his gun rights.  He made threats, beat his wife, and is (mostly likely) about to be adjudicated mentally ill.  I don’t believe it is unreasonable for a guy this nuts with a conviction for domestic violence to denied firearms.  It’s the law.  I’m glad they caught him before he want all Jared Lee Loughner or Adam Lanza on a group of people.

Funny (not really) how Moms Demand Action skipped over the details about this guy being a crazy wife beater and when straight for the “this guy was going to go on a rampage because he’s a pro 2A gun nut.”

Many of the comments on MDA’s Facebook page reflected this total abandonment of truth in favor of political prejudice.

Not afraid of ISIL but this dude?  Didn’t some ISIS supporting Middle Eastern Jihadi kill 49 people and wound 50 more at a guy night club back in June?  I guess Barbra Lockwood and her 15 supporters were real quick to forget about that act of terrorism because it wasn’t committed by a NRA loving white guy.  Why let truth get in the way of a good virtue signaling post.

Really, this isn’t a case of mental illness?  An angry drunk with a history of violence and believing in conspiracy theories got his way because… I kind of lost track of his argument.  Bullets more useful thank books?  What?

Because “how the Illuminati and the CIA are using fast food to brainwash you” is a regular column in American Rifleman.  “Although I don’t listen to them I believe” = “I have no evidence but my prejudiced tells me.”

I don’t think you would find a single NRA member that believes a person with a domestic violence conviction qualifies as a “good guy with a gun.”  Taking a peek at Mr. Jenkins’ Facebook Page, it’s obvious he’s an ardent leftist, who hates Republicans, gun owners, and white people.  So like any good leftist, his fellow countrymen with whom he disagrees politically must be tortured at Gitmo; actual radical Islamist terrorist, not so much.

I didn’t see one person actually bring up that a Domestic Violence conviction or  judge ordered involuntary commitment to a mental institution are both disqualifying events for firearms ownership.

Like Miguel often says: if your cause is righteous, why lie?

I did one of my regular checks over at the Everytown Facebook page, looking for post fodder, and I found two gems of anti-gun wisdom that I couldn’t pass up sharing.

On a post about how Pediatricians should talk to parents about guns, I found this reply from some Everytown supporters.

Way to go Linda, you lost your gun.  Let me tell you something I learned as a parent.  No matter how will you think you babyproofed your home, you didn’t.  Because you have no idea where your gun is, you have no control over it.  So if one of your grandkids finds it, and hurts themselves with it, it’s on you for being a dumb ass.  Maybe that’s why you liked Lyle’s post about EXTENSIVE gun safety training (although he fails to define extensive) because you know you did something stupid and dangerous and risked your grandkid’s lives.  But if what I know about antis (especially liberal antis) is true, you don’t have that level of self awareness and think what you did is right (hiding a gun so that you lost it) and think everybody should be as irresponsible as you.

I didn’t need an EXTENSIVE  training course to have the common sense to know when my son started to toddle about and get into things, all of my guns got locked in a safe.  I know where each gun is, and I have control over all them.  But because I am a gun owner that isn’t stupid enough to lose my gun and then virtue signal my stupidity on Facebook, I am the bad guy according to Everytown.

Now, I may be an asshole (in fact, I’m pretty sure I am) for thinking this, but Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung was killed by a freaking nut job who murdered his own mother and had an obsession with mass shootings.  Being nice didn’t prevent the Sandy Hook massacre.  Being nice didn’t stop Columbine or the Virginia Tech shooting before that.  This is a worthless, feel good platitude, that is idyllic to the point of being naive.  But we can’t go about questioning the wisdom of our martyrs, can we?

If you wan’t some words to live by that might actually make a difference is people’s lives, try the quote by the Warrior Monk, USMC General James “Mad Dog” Mattis: “Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.”

It’s been said: Scratch a liberal, find a Fascist.  History has demonstrated, unequivocally, that the road to a liberal utopia is paved with corpses.

There is absolutely nothing that the true believer won’t use as an instrument of or justification for mass murder.

The Washington Post published this piece the other day: I don’t need air conditioning, and neither do you.

Ms. Karen Heller is happy without her AC.  She may be pouring out sweat, but her self righteousness keeps her comfortable.  So much so that she wants everybody else to live her misery.

No I know what some people will say “But, J.Kb, didn’t people live for thousands of years without AC?  How bad can it be, really?”

I grew up in an “Old Florida Home” meaning it was built before AC was a standard in homes.  It had big French doors in the back and  floor to ceiling louvered windows up front.  When you opened everything up, there was little to block the wind from blowing through the house to keep it cool.  If you look at traditional Native American dwellings of Florida, the Chickee, as well as aboriginal dwellings from tropical climates around the world, they are just a roof with no walls and provide only shade and protection from rain.  The Persians invented Windcatchers, and architectural style that uses wind to force cool a home.

Modern homes are designed to be cooled by AC.   The AC went out in the place I am living in now, which was build 16 years ago.  For the week it was broken in June in Alabama, with all the windows opened, my upstairs hit 98F according to the thermostat.  Downstairs was only 92F.  We made sure that there was a fan going full blast on the crib at night to keep Mr. Baby cool.  Despite the open windows, there was little to no breeze blowing through the house.

In major urban centers and in large apartment complexes, conditions are even worse.  This is why when a heat wave passes through a big, modern city, it leaves behind a wake of death.  Great Britain lost over one thousand people in a heat wave.  In 1995, Chicago lost 739, and in 2012, they lost as many people in a week to a heat wave as they did gun deaths, 18.

Shutting off AC isn’t a matter of inconvenience, it is a matter of life and death.  Ms. Heller, is going to smile her smug smile of self satisfaction and get people, mainly children and the elderly, killed.  She might not be pushing people into ovens in a death camp, but she is still going to be responsible for people roasting to death.  But she doesn’t care.  Her self satisfaction from reducing her energy consumption just a tad, and trying to convince others to do it, will cause to her completely disregard the blood that would be on her hands.

Over at NPR, which is government funded form taxpayer dollars, the question being posed is: Should We Be Having Kids In The Age Of Climate Change?

“Here’s a provocative thought: Maybe we should protect our kids by not having them” says Travis Rieder, the petty tyrant and sadist who wants to control you and your human desire for procreation.

First, this man used his Environmentalism to emotionally destroy his wife:

“I have been one of those women who actually craved to have a baby,” says Sadiye Rieder, smiling as she sits next to her husband in the sunroom of their Maryland home. “To go through pregnancy and everything, that mattered to me a lot.”

Sadiye also wanted a big family. She grew up among extended relatives in the Turkish part of Cyprus and says she enjoyed having people around all the time.

This was not a problem early in their marriage, as each focused on their studies. But by the time Sadiye began feeling ready for motherhood, Travis’ research had delved into the morality of adoption, which led to the ethics of procreation and to its impact on the climate.

They knew they had to talk.

In the end, they had one child.  That’s still one too many for the rust of us in the proletariat for Rieder’s taste.  This guy can talk to me until he’s blue in the face, but I was one of three.  My wife was one of five.  We want three kids.  I don’t give a shit what his model predicts will happen to the low lying areas of Bangladesh 100 years from now.  I will have the family I want to have.  Remember, these are the same type of people that predicted that NYC will drown in horse shit (literal poop from draft horses) and they everybody was doomed, until the car was invented.  These people can’t model how technology or innovation will fix problems, so they just continue to peddle their bullshit.

Rieder is not alone.  There are other Environmental zealots out to ruin life for the rest of humanity.

At the New Hampshire meeting, 67-year-old Nancy Nolan tells two younger women that people didn’t know about climate change in the 1980s when she had her kids. Once her children were grown, “I said to them, ‘I hope you never have children,’ which is an awful thing to say,” Nolan says, her voice wavering. “It can bring me to tears easily.”

She adds that of course people are driven to procreate, and you can’t really tell them not to.

Of course you can’t tell people not to have kids.  The urge to reproduce is one of the deepest biological drives, right up there with eating and breathing.

So what is their goal?  To get the human race to voluntarily die off?  Maybe just dwindle our numbers a great deal?

What happens when trying to convince people no to have kids is not enough for them?  How about fines for having kids?  Maybe they could encourage abortions to prevent global warming?  How about the extreme of forced abortions?  China already has forced abortions, they just don’t use global warming as justification.

There is no amount of human carnage that these people are not willing to pay as a cost to their cause du jour.  Your freedoms, your children, your family. you, are just an inconvenience to them.  They don’t care about you, no matter how much they say they are trying to protect you.

They will kill you and your children, with a smile, for a polar bear.
