The problem with the THV is that many of the pistols of the day didn’t feed it well.

But a Glock feeds straight in and necked pistol cartridges generally feed off the neck and shoulder, so reliability should be much better.

The French ballistic tests showed devastating wound channels with the reverse ogive design.  It’s the principle by which the Lehigh Xtreme Defense bullets work, except better.  The Xtreme Defense bullet uses the reverse ogive of the THV in the flutes but has the outer profile to enhance feeding reliability.

By ATF regulation should be 100% completely legal.

So I see that “192 Republicans” is trending because 192 Republicans voted against the HR 7790 bill for supplemental funding for the FDA.

Twitter, which is still a Leftist disinformation site, is full of tweets saying the “Republicans voted against funding baby formula.”

CNN had an article which says this:

One of the bills passed by the House Wednesday evening — HR 7790 — would provide $28 million in emergency funding for the US Food and Drug Administration in an effort to help alleviate the current shortfall and head off future shortages. The bill was approved by a tally of 231 to 192.
The emergency funding would be used to increase the number of FDA inspection staff, provide resources for personnel working on formula issues, help the agency stop fraudulent baby formula from entering the US marketplace, and improve data collection on the formula market, according to a release from the House Appropriations Committee.

“This bill is the first step to help restock shelves and end this shortage,” House Appropriations Chair Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat who introduced the legislation, said in a statement.
“Parents and caretakers across the country cannot wait — they need our support now. This bill takes important steps to restore supply in a safe and secure manner. Additionally, with these funds, FDA will be able to help to prevent this issue from occurring again,” she said.

I read the bill.

It provides $28 million to hire people to be inspection staff.

The money is for FDA salaries.

Tell me how this solves the problem of the formula shortage now.

They have to hire people, train them, put they through a probationary period, etc.

This money today might have more inspectors out in a year.

All the FDA has to do is let Abbott turn their factory back on since they didn’t find the contamination in the factory.

But that doesn’t justify new bureaucracy appropriations.

Not one dollar of this funding buys quality overseas formula from Europe.

Not one dollar goes to helping parents afford formula.

It’s salaries for bureaucrats that won’t start doing a job for a year.

This is a shakedown using a crisis as a cover.

The real shame is the 12 Republicans who voted for it, not the 192 who voted against it.

Buffalo attack is ‘act of domestic terrorism’ along lines of Okla. City, Columbine: Crump

The Buffalo massacre was an “act of domestic terrorism” along the lines of the Oklahoma City bombing, the Columbine shooting and the Parkland slaughter, civil rights lawyer Benjamin Crump said Monday.

Crump joined grieving relatives of beloved 86-year-old matriarch Ruth Whitfield — one of 10 people allegedly killed by a white supremacist at a supermarket — in a church in Buffalo to decry Saturday’s race-fueled horror.

“We can’t sugar-coat it, we can’t try to explain it away, talking about mental illness. No, this was an act of domestic terrorism,’’ Crump said. “And just like America responds to terrorism, America needs to respond to this act of bigotry, racism and hate as a terrorist act.”

“This was a terrorist act — it is no less a terrorist act because it was a black grocery store,’’ Crump said at the emotional press conference.

“This was a domestic terrorist act, just like they did in [the] Oklahoma City bombing and all the other terrorist acts like Columbine and Parkland.

“The people who curate the hate, the people who inspire the hate on websites, and internet services and cable news stations,” Crump said. “Those people who radicalize these young people to go out and orchestrate heinous acts of violence, heinous acts of hate — we have to get to the root of the hate.

“They loaded the gun, and we have to hold them accountable, too,” Crump said.

I won’t deny that this was a domestic terrorist act, but there was a manhunt after Oklahoma City.  Police caught the shooter in this case.  He’s been arrested.

I was going to ask: “why us Ben Crump involved in this?”

When I first read the headline I wasn’t sure how he was going to grift and make money off of it.

Crump is like Al Sharpton with a JD.  He’s in this for the money and the fame.  He uses other black people’s pain to line his pockets and get on TV.

Now I suspect he’s going to use the narrative that Tucker Carlson and Fox News inspired the shooting to try and sue them.

I don’t know how successful he’ll be, I’m still trying to figure out the angle on how he can profit from this.

What I can guarantee is that with Ben Crump involved, this shitshow will get worse.

Lock people down, take away their social interactions, keep them from going to work or school, isolate them, surely there will be no ramifications from that…

This guy spent three COVID lockdown on 4chan interacting with assholes online anonymously instead of going to school with friends.

It was there on 4chan that he became this monster.

Legitimately some of the blood from this attack is on the hands of the people pushing the lockdowns, who created this situation.

I don’t think this will be the last shooting carried out by someone who was radicalized during COVID isolation.

Unlike Miguel, I am going to take the Buffalo shooter’s manifesto at face value until proven otherwise.

I read it and can tell you that several posts will come from an analysis of it.

But I want to hammer home on this point again:

The shooter states that he targeted locations where CCW was prohibited or low.

He chose a location where if people were armed they would be limited to 10 round magazines and not have access to rifles.

He stated he would be wearing level IIIA armor that could defeat the ammunition carried by the guards at Tops Market.

He thought this attack out to minimize danger to himself, and considering that he was taken alive, it worked.

You need to be prepared to fight someone who is wearing armor and knows you will only have a handgun.

You need to start training to put the first few into the pelvic girdle just in case your assailant is wearing armor.
