Syndicated anti-gun hysteria

I caught this OpEd in the Alabama Reflector, because I still get hit with local Alamaba news.

It’s a syndicated column from an idiot who is the editor of the Colorado Newsline, which reminds me why Southerners treated carpetbaggers the way they did.

Stop tolerating gun extremists. Shame them.

America is a country-size arsenal.

There are 20% more guns in the U.S. than people. Americans are estimated to own 393 million of the 857 million guns in the world, or almost half — 46% — of all civilian guns.

And the obscene ubiquity of firearms in the U.S. explains much about why the country is a killing field without parallel in the developed world. Anyone who has studied the matter arrives at a simple conclusion: More guns means more death.

This right here is where the arguemtns ends.

The anti-gun crowd never, ever, ever acknoleges gun deaths at the hands of the govmernment.

The killing fields are forests in Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and elsewere in Eastern Europe where Nazi and Soviet troops executed millions of civilians.  These were unarmed people who were genocided, but because they were killied by the government, their deaths don’t count.

Reform is thwarted by cowardice, corruption and craziness. As young children are slaughtered in their classrooms, conservative officials desecrate their memory by suggesting their deaths are the price of freedom. As mass shootings become a daily occurrence, gun-rights zealots double down on the bloodthirsty fantasy that more guns is the answer.

The project must start with a shift away from tolerance of gun extremists. Acceptance must cease of these murder-mongers in the media, government, public gatherings and the home next door. No longer can their fanaticism be indulged or their rigidity accommodated. Society must stigmatize them, and they must be rendered culturally odious. Only when gun absolutists become social pariahs can the nation start to establish comprehensive reform, allowing community members to attend schools, shop at grocery stores and visit nightclubs without fear of being torn to shreds in a blast of bullets.

This is social terrorism.  Has this tactic ever been effective?  Will this in any way cause gun owners who fundmentally believe in the Right to Keep and Bear Arms to change their positions or dig in their heels?

The Founding Fathers got it profoundly wrong on slavery and discrimination against women. Their next biggest mistake was the Second Amendment. But unlike other errors that the country has tried to come to terms with, society has only compounded the harm that came from the Constitution’s misfire concerning arms. The amendment should be repealed, yet Americans have so romanticized guns, and the judicial branch has imposed so permissive an interpretation of the law, that the country seems consigned to unthinkable bloodshed.

See, because the Founders were imperfect in some things, everything they did is wrong, bad, and needs correcting.

This is the immature logic of the radical.  Anyone who espouses that attitude can be summarily dismissed.  That is how you get  Great Leap Forward.

Given his desire to Struggle Session gun owners, I assume that’s what we wants.

The Second Amendment won’t be repealed anytime soon, but Americans can at least begin a cultural shift and re-imagine what the law means. Society should no longer tolerate the kind of depraved fanaticism that allows someone like U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert to tweet a Christmas greeting with her young sons brandishing weapons of war. It should dismiss from the public conversation anyone who advocates the hell-summoning lie that the presence of more guns will prevent gun violence. It should humiliate without restraint those costume-wearing soldier wannabes who show up with their shooters at rallies. It should elevate judges — unlike the present conservative majority justices of the U.S. Supreme Court — who don’t view the Second Amendment as a national suicide pact.

“Let me engage in a sexual fantasy where people I hate irrationally get stomped into the mud by Jackboots and hate mobs.”

Castigation must befall anyone who obstructs gun violence prevention. Lawmakers should continue to enact measures to protect constituents from the daily massacres their communities suffer. But members of those communities can participate in the greater reform project by shaming gun proponents wherever they show themselves.

That’s right, attack the law abiding gun owners.

And he wonders why we have become unwilling to compromise and more adamant in our resolve.

He has no desire to actually reduce crime, he had identified an ideological enemy who must be destroyed.

His desire to ruin gun owners is proof why gun owners want to keep their guns.

Idiot.

Why I support shooting unarmed attackers

I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.

I’m just a guy who has spent years cataloging crimes and their aftermath.

I hate the idea pushed by anti-gun people that it is wrong to shoot unarmed atrackers.

This is why:

Texas woman left paralyzed after thief body-slams her, steals $4,300

A Texas woman could spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair after a robber slammed her to the ground and stole thousands of dollars in a caught-on-camera attack last month, according to police and reports.

Nhung Truong has been unable to use one of her legs since she was assaulted by a man on Feb. 13 after withdrawing the large sum of cash from a bank, according to relatives and Houston police.

Truong, 44, was followed to a shopping center 24 miles from the bank, where the suspect approached her and tried to make off with the money, authorities said.

She dropped some of her personal items during the struggle with the man, footage shared by Houston police shows. The thief took off with one item before quickly returning, lifting Truong off the ground and ruthlessly slamming her into the pavement before he ran off with the money, police said.

But even worse, Truong’s spinal cord was damaged in the attack and she is unable to use her left leg, she and her family told KHOU.

Police released security camera footage.

He slammed her back first onto a concrete curb and damaged her spine.

She may be paralyzed for life.

Technically, her attacker was unarmed.

Still, he managed to cripple that woman.

If a man can put you in a wheelchair for life, you should be able to put him in the ground.

I never want to hear about someone using lethal force to defend themselves against an unarmed threat.

That’s just telling the person “I’d rather you spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair than some scumbag being pushed off this mortal coil.”

Newtown Action shilling for cartels

In case you missed the news, the President of Mexico is trying to influence Americans to vote against Republicans who want to declare war on the Mexican drug cartels.

Personally, after killing hundreds of thousands of Americans with drugs, I’m all for tactically nuking the cartels.

Even if you don’t care about hard drug addicts on the streets, mixing fentanyl with prescription drugs and selling them on the streets where they are killing young people is worthy of getting your country obliterated by radioactive death.

The President of Mexico is obviously getting kickbacks from the cartels.  He’s a puppet leader of a failed narco-state.

But if you want to understand the state of American politics, know that the chair of Newtown Action is supporting the President of Mexico over Americans because guns.

I’ve seen videos of cartel violence in Mexico.

The cartels are using full auto military weapons.

The cartels are multi billion dollar international criminal enterprises, they are buying military weapons from corrupt Mexican military personnel, the Columbian military, and Asia.

The guns the cartels got from the US was from Obama smuggling them in with the Fast and Furious debacle.

But that’s inconvenient to the narrative that if we just shut down American gun stores, the cartels would run out of guns.

So anti-gun activists are siding with the cartel puppet in chief of Mexico against American citizens.

You shouldn’t be able to buy guns because that will somehow stop Columbian military officers from selling machine guns to the cartels.

The hysterics over Tucker’s coverage of J6 is the swansong of the system’s grip

The end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023 is an era that will go down in history.

In the last few months, what exactly has been confirmed as fact that we were told were conspiracy theories in 2019 through the 2022 election cycle.

Social media did in fact collude with the FBI to control the flow of negative Biden information.

The FBI did collude with social media and the legacy media to fabricate bad Trump information.

Hunter Biden was even more corrupt than anyone could possibly imagine and is inexorably tied to his father.

COVID did come from a Chinese bio lab.  It was created with the help of Dr. Fauci and funding from the US government.  It was probably a bioweapon.

Natural immunity was better than the vaccine for almost everyone.

The vaccine was at best ineffective, and at most dangerous for all but the most compromised people with multiple co-morbidities.

Kids are not resilient and closing schools devastated children permanently.

And now, everything that we were told about January 6th was a lie by the uni party to destroy the legacy of Trump and his supporters.

Tucker Carlson has been releasing the video of that every night this week.

Every single narrative of the last three years is crashing down.

The J6 narrative is the most salient because we have the video.  People can see that what they were told for 26 months was a lie.

The credibility of the system is gone.  It’s worse than gone.  They are Captain Worngway Peachfuzz, everything they say is diametrically the opposite of the truth.

There is no reason to listen to these people at all, everything they say is a lie to gain and preserve their power.

That is 100% transparent to everyone.

They are hysterical because it’s undeniable and unassailable that the emperor’s cock and balls are hanging out in the breeze and we refuse to believe them that he’s a woman in a beautiful dress.

The hubris of money fondling Blue bubbles

This article from The Hill says it all about the perspective of the Left.

What if Marjorie Taylor Greene’s secessionist fantasy came true?

After denouncing “Democrats’ traitorous America Last policies” and their “sick and disgusting woke culture,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) declared, “We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this.” Asked if her plan was realistic, Greene replied, “It’s something we should work towards because it’s kind of the vision that our founding fathers had for America, and I think it’s great.”

It seems appropriate, then, to consider some implications of Greene’s secessionist fantasy.

But if, somehow, the red and blue states manage to separate, the new normal, as with virtually all divorces, would have substantial economic ramifications. Domestic and international trade relations would be disrupted, treaties would have to be renegotiated, federal assets (including the gold at Fort Knox and military bases at home and abroad), would have to be parceled out, the national debt would have to be paid off.

Talk is cheap, but secession would be expensive for the large number of red states that are indirectly subsidized by blue states. These days, eight of the ten states most dependent on appropriations from the federal government almost always vote Republican. Ironically, many voters in those states believe their tax dollars are supporting Latinos and Blacks.

West Virginia gets 2.36 times more money from Washington D.C. than its residents pay in federal income taxes. Over 4 percent of the workers in the state are employed by the U.S. government, the seventh highest percentage in the country. They earn, on average, nearly double what employees in the state’s private, for-profit companies are paid. For every dollar Mississippi residents pay in federal income taxes, the state receives $2.53 from the government Marjorie Taylor Greene loves to hate. The state of Wyoming gets 56.4 percent of its revenues from the federal government, the highest percentage in the United States. The annual income of federal workers who reside in Alabama ($67,948) is more than double the average income of private, for-profit workers ($33,242).

By contrast, seven of the ten states least dependent on appropriations from the on the federal government almost always vote Democratic.

First of all, there are no Blue states.

There are Blue urban centers, and sometimes the population of those urban centers is the majority population of the state.

I lived in Illinois.  There are 101 counties in Illinois and 97 of them are consistently Red.

The ones that aren’t are Chicago, the wealthier Chicago suburbs, and Springfield.  That is 53% of the population of the state.

Upstate New York and the Central Valley of California are other examples of blood Red areas dwarfed in population by deep Blue coastal megaopolises they share a state with.

Any divorce will happen at the county level, not the state level.

The Central Valley won’t side with LA and San Francisco if shit goes south.

But what do these urban areas have that the Left thinks gives them power?

Money.

They are centers of finance.

The banking sector, Wall Street, Silicon Vallet, Hollywood, etc.

The thing is, they produced nothing but money.

Silicon Valley may produce software and websites, but they long ago gave up manufacturing hardware.

These Blue areas lack any and all agricultural, manufacturing, mining, refining, or other capabilities.

“Alabama will become destitute without government funding from DC paid for by Blue states.”

That shows that all they have is the power of the purse.

They have the monet but they are dependent on Red areas for everything else.

If the Left wants to know why the Right wants a national divorce so badly, this is why.

Watching 100 million concrete jungle residents run out of food and oil in a matter of days after they get embargoed by Red states is a lesson in hubris they desperately need.

Trim your trees

I’m a Florida boy, born and raised.

You can take the boy out of Florida but you can’t take the Florida out of the boy.

In Florida, hurricane preparedness is a way of life.  Even when you move out of Florida, you spend the rest of your life prepping for hurricane season.

One of the hurricane behaviors that I have is in regards to trees.

Fuck trees.  I have a chainsaw.  In fact I have five chainsaw and am looking to add one more to the roster (I have a hankering for a Stihl MS251 Wood Boss).

Trees exist to be trimmed and chainsaws are for heroes.

See, when sustained winds of 75 mph winds come through whete you live, trees fall down and damage your home, car, and powerlines.

Cutting trees back so they don’t topple in the wind is a high priority.

I’m new to New England, but I just can’t understand the local lack of tree trimming.

Everywhere I go I see windfalls and limbs snapped off due to snow load.

Big trees hanging over homes and powerlines covered with snow and ice scares the fuck out of me.

It should scare the fuck out of you too.

‘In the arms of Jesus’: Teen critically injured by falling tree to be taken off life support

A teen in Tennessee was scheduled to become an organ donor Sunday after she suffered a life-threatening injury during storms that swept the state on Friday.

According to Liberty Creek High School, Aleya Brooks suffered a traumatic brain injury when a tree fell on her.

Jason Brooks, Aleya Brooks’ father, said the tree fell on her while she was helping her family clear debris from their driveway.

Jason Brooks said his daughter, who is also a cheerleader at her school, was taken to the hospital where it was determined she suffered multiple facial and head fractures, as well as deep bleeding in her brain.

The swelling in Aleya Brooks’ head increased Saturday, according to her father.

By Saturday evening, Aleya Brooks’ father said she would be “in the arms of Jesus now” as doctors prepared to remove her from life support on Sunday.

She’s not the only person in Tennessee to be killed by falling trees in the last few days.

Dangerous winds claim two lives in Middle Tennessee

In Hendersonville, an elderly woman was walking back to her home on Lake Terrace Drive when a tree fell on her. She died from her injuries, the city says.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) is currently at a Level 4 to provide increased monitoring and coordination from high winds that took place Friday.

Strongest wind gusts from Friday were in Clarksville, where gusts topped 79 mph.

High winds and trees are dangerous.

Keep your trees trimmed and if trees are sick, cut them down.

Don’t risk your life under a tree in a wind or ice storm.

Nature is a mean bitch and she will murder you in your own driveway with a tree.

Tree maintenance is very much a matter of life and death.
