Lately we’ve been having a rash of bomb scares in south Florida. This popped in my FB…

…and my mind immediately went to this.

I may have made a joke, but knowing all the places where Broward County ballots have appeared, it is well within the realm of possibilities I might be right after all.

J. Kb. already started with a great analysis and I am just going to throw in some thoughts I have. As usual IANAL warning and here is a link to the text of the bill. The comments are about what is published today and may not cover future changes in the bill.

(a) Banned hazardous products.—Notwithstanding section 3(a)(5)(E) of the Consumer Product Safety Act (15 U.S.C. 2052(a)(5)(E)), the following shall be considered banned hazardous products under section 8 of such Act (15 U.S.C. 2057):

This has been one of the Anti Gunners Holy Grails: to define firearms as hazardous products like cigarettes or dioxin. The way I am reading it, they are trying to make black come under the purview of not only ATF for regulation but also the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. It is the old lie that “a teddy bear is more regulated than guns” thing brought into law form. Adding another regulatory agency to the mix will slowly force people in the business to quit rather than deal with the tons of paperwork required plus the constant threat of jail whenever they change regulations and you missed it. This was done with great efficiency in Europe by the EEC and led to the closing of many small producers of wine for local consumption. The stack of paperwork having to be submitted several time a year was simply too much of a waste of time or money (hire experts) and many wine producers simply quit, and either switched crops or sold their land to (drum roll) big wine makers.

SEC. 3. Prohibition of advertising do-it-yourself assault weapons.
(a) In general.—It shall be unlawful to market or advertise, on any medium of electronic communications, including over the Internet, for the sale of any of the following:
(1) A firearm receiver casting or firearm receiver blank or unfinished handgun frame that—
(A) at the point of sale does not meet the definition of a firearm in section 921(a) of title 18, United States Code; and
(B) after purchase by a consumer, can be completed by the consumer to the point at which such casting or blank functions as a firearm frame or receiver for a semiautomatic assault weapon or machinegun or the frame of a handgun.
(2) An assault weapon parts kit.
(3) A machinegun parts kit.

This one is interesting in its wording. It only covers “electronic communication” and I wonder it is because the internet  does not have the body of First Amendment cases and Jurisprudence that would shut down this section on purely on Constitutional violations. The printed gun files lawsuits are still going on, right? Anyway, this is my take: they are throwing shit in the sink hoping with will clog the drain.

Requirement that homemade firearms have serial numbers
“(1) BAN ON MAKING FIREARM BEFORE OBTAINING SERIAL NUMBER.—
“(A) IN GENERAL.—It shall be unlawful for any person, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, to make a firearm, unless the person has obtained a serial number and identifying mark for the firearm under this section.

With this one I am going with trying to “fix” the “fail” in the actual law the does not require a serial number for personally made firearms. Remember, serial numbers do not solve murders, but make easier for the government to know who owns what and that is all they care about come Confiscation day.

(d) Administrative provisions.—
“(1) ESTABLISHMENT OF TRACEABILITY SYSTEM.—
“(A) IN GENERAL.—Within 180 days after the date of the enactment of this section, the Attorney General shall, in consultation with licensed dealers, establish a system that enables the Attorney General to identify any licensed dealer who issues a serial number and identifying mark pursuant to this section.

See above. It is like we can smell the assholes’ intentions several states away.

(2) the term “assault weapon parts kit” means any part or combination of parts designed and intended to enable a consumer who possesses all such necessary parts to assemble a semiautomatic assault weapon;

This one is so generic is not even funny, specially with their definition of “semiautomatic assault weapon” that I will cover next. From a new sight to even a 10 round magazine can be considered a part and thus banned. I have not checked if there is a grandfather provision in this bill, but if not, every single magazine in your possession will probably end you with a felony.

(4) the term “semiautomatic assault weapon” means—
(B) a semiautomatic pistol that has—
(i) the capacity to accept a detachable ammunition feeding device; and
(ii) any one of the features described in subsection (b);
(b) Special features of a semiautomatic pistol.—The special features described in subsection (a)(3)(B)(ii) are—
(1) an ammunition magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip;
(2) a threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer;
(3) a shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned;
(4) a second hand grip;
(5) a manufactured weight of 50 ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded; and
(6) a semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm.

This is straight out Dianne Feinstein AWB 2 bill that died an inglorious death during the Obama administration. This is not an attack on AR pistols or AK pistols alone but most  semi auto pistols. Are there 1911s, Glocks and Berettas that shoot full auto? Well my Lord yes there are!  The Democrats get to ban the three most popular semi-automatic pistols in America! Hallelujah!

Is anybody still thinking this is just about Evil Black Military-style rifles that have no business in our streets?

I don’t think I am the only one disagreeing this is not a good idea.

 To help, citizens will store two bullet casings and registration information from each of their guns. The casing and information should be stored in a safe place separate from the guns. If a gun theft occurs, the owner would then give the two firearm casings and registration information to a police officer. These casings and information would then be submitted into the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN).

Left-Handed gun registration via NIBIN? Imagine if your stolen firearm is used in a crime, the victims (or family) find out  and decide to sue you for damages.

This is like asking the mouse to bring his own cheese for the trap.

But if you think about it, we are doing this for a good cause: I was told Florida has not had a Black Governor so what Democrats are doing is elect Gillum via Affirmative Action.

This has not been publicized much, but once loved and cherished extremist muslim Linda Sarsour has become an icky name among Liberals. Why? Well apparently she is anti-Semite! Who knew?

Every-frigging-body knew, including the ones that are trying desperately to move away from her.

How did it finally come about? You guys know that if there is something Liberal progressives like (just like State Department diplomats)  is being congratulated by Europeans. And getting awards from them is better than Ecstasy-infused sex for them so they were all giddy when the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a German socialist think-tank, was ready to award Women’s March USA with an award, pussy hats went flying in celebration. Unfortunately somebody brought attention to the fact that Linda Sarsour was a devout anti-Semite and (at least for this quarter) being anti-Semite in Europe is a no-no.

According to Ashe Schow at the Daily Wire, The Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a German socialist think-tank, was set to reward the Women’s March with a human rights award but has now rescinded the award after members of the organization wrote a very public letter denouncing the Women’s March.

“We believe that the Women’s March USA does not meet the criteria of this award, as its organizers have repeatedly attracted attention through antisemitic statements, the trivialization of antisemitism and the exclusion of Zionists and Jews since Women’s March USA’s establishment in 2017,” wrote foundation members. “Women’s March USA does not constitute an inclusive alliance.”

Well, ain’t that a shame? But well deserved for ignoring the obvious stances by Jihadi Linda. The NRA mentioned her by name as a radical within the Women’s March and it was scolded by Politifact with a “Pants on Fire” tag.  Even a New York Times (and taco stand) opinion piece in 2017 denounced “homegirl in a hijab” as somebody with ” a history of disturbing views.”

Oh yes! In that photo, she was marching for Gun Control, how sweet! No wonder she was the darling of progressives.
And she has not been very quiet about her support for Gun Control. I collected this after a simple search in Twitter:

And once the dumpster fire has been ignited, we have the celebrities that once supported Sarsour coming out (very briefly) of their safe spaces to do the Mission Impossible thing and disavow “homegirl in a hijab.”

But unfortunately for dear Alyssa, the Internet does not self-destruct like the those old recorders in the TV show.

And, of course, Jews in Georgia should be a smidgen worried about certain candidate:

The Klan’s ideals now seems to come in different colors and religions but always seems to be centered around Democrats. Some traditions never die.

Oh well, it is their loss. We already knew about this heap of dung.

J. Kb mentioned that the Silent Democrat Majority  “are just too scared to say anything.” I disagree, they are cowards. There is a difference.

Fear according to Webster is the “unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.” Silent Democrats are not in danger, specially not immediately. They are not having their doors beaten at night, not run out of eateries, nor being constantly threatened with rape a death because the party they vote for. They are safe.

However, Cowardice according to Webster is the “lack of courage or firmness of purpose ” and that fits the Silent Democrat Majority: they know what their fellow Democrats are doing is morally and ethically wrong, but lack the spine to even post anonymously against their action. They don’t want to rock the boat, specially if they are being benefited somehow by the politics. If they remain silent, they don’t lose status, perks and a sense of peace.  They understand they are enabling the bad seeds of the party, but they rather not be involved. They are watching from their windows while Kitty Genovese is being murdered.
