This is The Peter Fonda of Easy Rider fame. Just like his sister, he loves to see Americans in cages being abused by communists.

The Fonda family does have a connection with cages: Her sister Jane parading around Vietnam giving moral support to enemies of the US that kept POWs in bamboo cages.

Is he trying to rekindle his status as a “star” by being as big of an asshole as his sister?

I just caught a comment in Facebook about somebody complaining that his brand new semi auto rifle in .22LR was having malfunctions in the form of failure to extract. I am going to go out on a limb and say many gun owners do not understand that you need to give your brand new gun a good cleaning and lubrication before the first shots go downrange. And after that, you need a minimum of 200 rounds shot though the gun to get the parts start working smoothly. 300 would even be better and a good cleaning and lubrication all over again.

Some years back, I was at the range shooting with some friends and one of them had  a well seasoned Glock 34 he used to shoot IDPA* with and had not take out the safe for a long time. As he put rounds downrange, we could actually hear squeaks we immediately identified as metal rubbing against metal. When he finished shooting two full mags without a failure, we asked him (laughing) when was the las time he had cleaned and oiled the gun. He paused and admitted he did not remember. A quick check revealed that it was both filthy and dry as a bone. A couple of drops of oil removed any mousy sounds during shooting.

Process that again: It did not fail.

So, be patient. Clean and lubricate your firearm, specially if you are shooting the notoriously dirty .22 LR and make sure you put enough rounds through it before you decide to call it a piece of crap and sent it to the gunsmith or return it to the store.

• Our IDPA matches usually used between 90 and 120 rounds. That gun probably had 45 matches on it at a minimum, so that makes it over 4,000 rounds shot through it.

I really do not know how to process this. Are they saying that teachers will stop school shootings but not a mall or a movie shooting?  If so, what is the mental process behind? Are teachers allowed to carry in school only and not anywhere else?

In many sports, it is no longer about discipline and learning from defeat but win at all costs and without the effort. Everybody is entitled and  will use violence to achieve it.

Hard to be an asshole with competitors carrying shotguns, right?

And as usual I answer. Very polite young man so I went along with the questions. I do hope they share my answers with certain Florida politician.

Pollster: For Senator for the State of Florida, would you vote for a Republican candidate or a Democrat Candidate.
Me: Republican.
Pollster: For Senator for the State of Florida, Who would you vote for? Rick Scott, the Republican or Bill Nelson the Democrat.
Me: Neither.

That kinda baffled the guy, but he continued on with other questions. Twice he asked similar inquiries about the senate race and got the same answer. he finally asked why I would not vote for Scott:

Me: Because he signed SB7026, the Gun Control bills.

Sorry, but screw Rick Scott.  He got rolled over like a puppy spanked with a newspaper by a couple of high schoolers in Tallahassee, I imagine he will be somebody’s political bitch in all fours in Washington.  A Democrat Senator for Gun Control is nothing new. A Republican Senator for Gun Control is free ammunition to the Opposition.

Hard pass on that.
