WAYNE LAPIERRE REMARKS IGNITE CONTROVERSY OVER STAR WARS.

NRA’s Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association Wayne LaPierre outraged many by a statement he made during the opening ceremonies of the NRA’s annual meeting.

“It is the official position of the National Rifle Association and its millions of members that Han shot first.” said LaPierre. It was followed by a standing ovation that lasted well over 5 minutes.

News of LaPierre’s statement made an immediate impact in both Hollywood and Washington. Actress and Gun Safety activist Alyssa Milano decried what she called “a unskillful attempt to rewrite history by a Death Merchant.” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that “Wayne Gterzky is trying to get our kids in school killed.”  while Senator Cory Boker not only condemned LaPierre’s words but also demanded that the NRA paid reparations for the years of having slaves build Assault Weapons.

George Lucas could not be reached for comments. His manager simply said “George is tired of that shit. It is his movie and might as well leave it alone.”

Meantime at the Annual Meeting, NRA Member Cedric Jose White, wearing a t-shirt with “Let the Wookie pack.” stamped on it, had this to say: “The NRA is simply standing firm on what millions of Gun Owners and Star War Fans always knew. You can try and lie all you want, but the truth is out there!”

A homeless man was arrested for trespassing at the Governor’s Mansion in Sacramento, but not until two days after walking through an unlocked door.
In a jailhouse interview, Steven Seeley, 51, said he ran inside Gov. Jerry Brown’s home April 19 through an unlocked side door after being frightened outside.

“He’s an open-door policy kind of guy, so I figured the door would be unlocked, or else I wouldn’t have ran over there if I thought the door would be locked,” Seeley said.

That is the problem with policies and laws created by Liberals: They are fine and dandy as long as they don’t have to abide by them.

Reinstating the federal assault weapons ban that was in effect from 1994 to 2004 would prohibit manufacture and sales, but it would not affect weapons already possessed. This would leave millions of assault weapons in our communities for decades to come.
Instead, we should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons. The ban would not apply to law enforcement agencies or shooting clubs.

Once thing I learned when I was doing a bit of shooting was that having only one range bag for all your shooting needs was a pain in the ass. You basically needed to reconfigure you bag every time you went out. During a rifle training event, I saw a friend with a Husky tool box/tote for his AR needs and thought it was the smartest stuff I have seen, so I got myself one.

That bag has served me well for 7-8 years now and it is big enough  inside to carry 10 more mags,  spare ammo, ear and eye protection pouches and pretty much anything you need for a rifle day at the range.

Now, staying with the dedicated theme, I wanted to do the same for the AR. I went this morning to Home Depot and found this model.

Husky 15″ Tool Tote (SKU 398 821). It appears listed online for $18. 97 but at my local HD I got it on sale for $14.97. As you can see it can carry four mags per side…

..and the inside is an ample 13.5 ” long, 6.5″ wide and 7″ deep.  Again, you can pretty much fill that space with your range need for a day of shooting.

I was about to leave when my eye caught another bag:

12″ Tool Bag (SKU 217 759) for the sum of $7.97. You probably can’t tell, but it is a zippered bag.  It was just an impulse buy and because it looks and feels tough so it can be used for any crap around the house or car.

When I got to the register, I paid and tried to get all my shopping in the smallest volume possible. I happily found out that the zippered bag fit perfectly inside the tool tote. MOAR CONFIGURATION!

Basically you can have a very sturdy range bag for under $30.00. You can splurge the savings on ammo and training.

So you can go to a Home Depot and not only buy the parts and tools to make a gun, you also can get its range bag.

You guys know I have no beef with somebody owning and using a Hi Point if that is all they can afford. But this crap? I bet the paint job and the sight are well worth a couple of new Glocks.
