Government shutdown consequences.
Apparently ATF did not make it to Las Vegas.
Stop grinning, I can see you all the way here. Really people…<sigh>
Stolen from My Gun Culture.
Misleading Hedaline: “Floridians will vote this fall on restoring voting rights to 1.5 million felons.”
Florida voters will decide this fall if 1.5 million felons will get their voting rights back.
Desmond Meade of Orlando and his group Floridians for Fair Democracy successfully gathered more than 799,000 certified signatures in their years-long petition drive, just a week before the deadline to reach the required total of about 766,000. On Tuesday, the state certified the initiative for the Nov. 6 ballot.
If approved by 60 percent of voters in the fall, the amendment would restore voting rights to Floridians with felony convictions after they fully complete their sentences, including parole or probation. Those convicted of murder or sexual offenses would continue to be barred from voting.
Floridians will vote this fall on restoring voting rights to 1.5 million felons.
Only voting rights, gun rights they are still Second Class Citizens, maybe Third Class. And it makes sense because they only bar murderers or sexual offenders and allows those who pleaded to a lesser charge of manslaughter vote, same for anybody convicted of a crime of violence. Basically, you could have beaten 50 people and these organization feels they have a right to decide how your safety can me changed and reduced.
I am for the restoration of rights for non-violent felons, so Big Fat No coming November.
PS: There are two other proposals passed but not ratified yet and I have not read them. I’ll let you know.
When an SBR is not an NFA weapon?
When it has a binary trigger. That means the rifle shoots when you pull the trigger and shoots again when you release it.
The law says that in order to be a rifle (NFA or not), it has to have the mandatory lengths of barrel and overall and shoot one round per pull of the trigger. Shooting binary simply makes for a new type of weapon not specified by the law and therefore to subject to NFA rules. The ATF gave its ruling and issued it a letter about it.
I am sure more videos are forthcoming and better people will explain better the whole thing.
It tickles me quite a bit if you ask.
Where did we go wrong?
I loved the Road Runner cartoons, in fact it was not the Road Runner but my admiration was centered in Wile E. Coyote. Why? He did not have quit on him. I always wanted to see what kind o newfangled contraption he was going to use to catch the Road Runner.
But you know what I never did? Try to do what he did in real life. I never sat on a rocket or played screwed around with dangerous stuff because I knew it was dangerous shit that could hurt me or somebody!
When did we lose that basic principle of common sense? When did the moment of “Maybe we should think this a bit more” go?
And whatever happened to teach Stop-Drop-Roll?
