I was going to write a long-winded post explaining my reasons, but at the end it all comes to one thing: I have seen too many “Pro-Gun” People venomously hate on the NRA more than on Stephen Paddock (somebody that murdered 59 concertgoers) and the Gun Control Cabal (who are trying to fuck us out of our Rights).
I cannot keep wasting my time on such a collection of assholes.

I am a firm believer in the Right of People to Keep and Bear Arms, but some simply do not deserve it.

The blog will remain open and you will get to enjoy the writings of J. Kb. If we get lucky, we may get a writer in the future.

I may post funny pictures from time to time just because, but I am done with Gun Politics which I pass to Gun Culture 2.0.

I decided to take a much-needed break from blogging and Pro-Gun Activism.

Nine years and nine months and 7,560 posts later, I need a break.

It is tiresome enough to fight against the Gun Control machine. I simply don’t have the energy to battle the stupid on our side.  And before I go “Fuck it!” and call it quits, I am giving myself some days off. No idea how many.

J. Kb. will still be posting at his pace which means fewer posts but high quality reading stuff will continue to be produced and posted.

I’ll be back to either return to the fight or announce I am gone fishing and shooting for good.  During this time off, I don’t care if they eliminate NFA 34 and GCA 68 or the Second Amendment has been repealed and confiscation is upcoming: Don’t ask me for my opinion because I won’t care. Hence the Honey Badger vacation.

PS: there are three posts scheduled to come up between today and Halloween. There are funnies. Enjoy them as my possible last vestige of humor in blogging.

At this moment, the NRA is collecting a hundred times more hate than Las Vegas Killer Stephen Paddock. This is from Gun Control people and alleged Gun Rights people.

I understand why Gun Control people hate the NRA: They have been brain washed into it and it is their Pavlovian response. Sadly enough, that is the same explanation for what now appears to be a sizable chunk of Gun Owners hating the NRA.

The Second Amendment is our inalienable Right, no doubt. The question now forming in my head is: “Do we deserve it?”

You really do not want me to answer that question today.

A collage of an argument I had with a Fudd. They do seem to believe their weapons will be safe from the thirst of Gun Control Activists.

There was an intervention by the wall owner trying to calm things down. I added the following:

I understand that gun owners may not be keen historians, but if you are as old as me, (and this guy is) you must know by now that there is almost no firearms in civilian use that were either designed for or eventually adopted by the military.  Your cute bolt-action rifle? Mauser bolt deign for the German Military makes it a weapon of war. Add that scope to get yourself a nice deer and the Antis will (and some have already) call it a Sniper Rifle that has no use for civilians in the US.

And at the risk of being called an asshole (and worse) you need to forcefully point that out to the Fudds. Let them “enjoy” a Zumbo moment.
