Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Book Burning is not atoning for sins.

Fight Nazism, burn books… huh?

History repeats itself apparently. And using the same excuses to boot.

I had to look up the song in the video. Jazz is not even in the same musical hemisphere as the Horst-Wessel or La Internacional so I doubted the morons flapping gums and masturbating to the images of book burning would even know what was it about. The name of the song is “Atonement” by The W.E.S Group, a religious Jazz band.
Of course, I had to look up the definition of atonement:

Nope, nothing about book burning or the incongruity of people claiming to be for freedom behaving like Nazi fanatics.

PS: I am not quite sure who originated the video, just who posted it and I am not saying they agree or not with the content.

Everytown for Gun Safety embraces Gansta values and Carmelo Anthony.

Everytown sure knows how to pick them: NBA player Carmelo Anthony, known drug user, arrested for DUI…

…and also appears in a video titled Stop Snitchin’ is a call for informants not to cooperate with law enforcement.

But if you think about it, it makes sense: The only way to keep the Gun Control efforts going is to have a significant amount of violence happening, specially among minorities. And what better way to keep the blood flowing than reminding possible witnesses that “snitches get stitches.”

That is why Gun Control is the best accomplice Violent Criminals could have.

The Schadenfreude Files: Tucson Mayor carjacked.

Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild was carjacked at gunpoint in midtown Saturday morning. Shortly before 11 a.m., the mayor was leaving his home when he was greeted by a man holding a pistol, who demanded to know where his car was parked, Rothschild told the Star.Rothschild said that he pointed to his city-owned Toyota Prius and the man demanded he hand over the keys. The mayor complied, and the carjacker left the scene in the Prius

I am guessing the Bloomberg Merit Badge did not work as advertised.

Taxpayers will probably now have to foot the bill of protection for the mayor… correction ARMED protection for the mayor.

PS: The car was recovered several miles from the location. I mean, even carjackers have standards.

I laugh at your silly legislation (Or how to drive a Californian Politico mad.)

Fast loader for California Legal ARs:

Coming soon, a new law that prevents “Assault Rifles” from being loaded more than one round at a time. You know that eventually even the Ninth Circuit Court is gonna have to say “OK that is dumb stuff right there.”

Kudos to Kahr Firearms’ fast service.

Three days ago (2/15) I posted about the follower in one of my mags going to pieces.  I had gone online and ordered a couple of replacements plus a cool cap that was on sale. To my surprise and joy, FedEx came by  noonish and now I again have a working magazine.

That was fast service. I would have been happy if had gotten it by Monday as I was expecting it. Instead they surprised the hell out of me with their efficiency.

Well done and thank you very much, Kahr.

Getting Robespierred.

I define Getting Robespierred at being destroyed (politically or otherwise) by the same Revolution you worked so hard for and became an elite member of it. Back in the Ice Ages when they taught actual history, I had a good teacher who gave us the run down about the French revolution with warts and all. One of the things that is still fresh in my mind was one Maximilien François Marie Isidore de Robespierre or Robespierre for short.

Maxi was part and parcel of the French Revolution and most important, what came after: The Committee Of Public Safety and The Reign Of Terror.  I urge you to find info on your own, but basically the “winners” of the revolution decided to start killing those they hated and when they ran out of those, they decided to brand others (who were either not involved in anything or were members of the cause, but not liked much) as enemies and come after them.

As shit happens, Robespierre eventually found himself in the “naughty list” and a patrol was sent to arrest him and take him to the guillotine. In the process, some say he tried to shot himself while others say it was one of the arresting parties that shot him. Either way, we was not killed, but the bullet removed his lower jaw.  He was arrested and had to wait without a mandibule for the next day to be executed.

Revolutions and revolutionaries are always covered in a heroic mystique, but history constantly shows otherwise and a lot of “icons” end up killed by their own.

I am bringing this because a well-know and (up till last Friday) admired and beloved Liberal is being roasted by its own: Bill Maher. You see, Maher had the audacity to bring Milo Yianoppolous to his show for an interview and instead of going ISIS on his ass and beheading him on the spot, he had the balls to sit down, talk to the guy, agree on a couple of points and disagree on most.  The Liberal world lost its shit and now Bill Maher apparently is a Quisling, unworthy of exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide.

I do enjoy how they go after each other with sheer fury. I understand that they dogmatic when people deviate of the rules, but the issue with these morons is that they change the rules and parameters every other week and do not send the memo to everybody. Eventually you are bound to screw up and will be thrown to the Pitchfork and Torches Club.

And I really have no problem if they thin their own herds. It saves me in ammo and sweat.
