I had to replace a couple of tiles in a shower where I had installed a safety bar for mom. Here is the video I checked:

I did things a bit different. I scoured the grout first with a tile grout saw making sure there was a “canal” for the blade to run. It also helped weaken the grout itself, a plus. And yes, the utility knife works like a charm.

After that and since holes were already made, I tapped the tile repeatedly but gently with a regular hammer till it cracked and fell. Don’t go gorilla or you may miss and screw a good tile or the backboard. No chisel, but a flat screwdriver just to help a stubborn piece fall without tapping it with the hammer but using it as pry bar.

And take it really slow with the hammer. you have all the time in the world, actually you may take under 5 minutes per tile. I patched the holes with a waterproof spackle designed for exterior and now I wait for it till tomorrow to dry before doing the rest.

Seriously, the utility blade trick is the key, it gave me a clean removal. And this is coming from one who has a long list of effed up tiles in his history 😀

You may have heard that there was another shooting death of a black man in Minneapolis’s yesterday, but little has made it in the news.

What we know so far is US Marshalls went to arrest a convicted felon under the name of Winston Boogie Smith, Jr for weapons’ violation. He produced a firearm and he got shot and killed for it. Word got out to the community and the usual suspects went out to “peacefully protest” this “unjust” debacle.

So we have a Judicial failure. Remember, this is important because we were told it is safer and nicer to keep criminals in the street rather than have them serve their debt to society in jail. I am not privy to the details on how Mr. Boogie screwed up again, but if they sent the US Marshals after him, it is pretty fair to say he did screw up royally and was on the run.

Of course, his death will always we unwarranted by The Selected Few that will rather side with felons because not only raises political ruckus but provides with an excuse to “liberate” merchandise from the tight grip of evil Capitalist merchants.

Interesting, no? It was the threat of “Gun Violence” that kept the actual violent people away.

Felon does bad thing. Felon gets tracked by US Marshals. Felon does stupid thing with gun. Felon gets shot by US Marshals. Race Activists/Fellow Felons condemn the results of Felon acting stupid.  Race Activists/Fellow Felons “peacefully protest” by looting. Race Activists/Fellow Felons avoid the armed location and rather seek soft targets.

I believe that pretty much covers today’s lesson.

So the last candidate for Florida Governor under the Democratic banner was a meth addict and now this? Can the Democrats get somebody for governor NOT involved in drugs? Will the Lt Governor be somebody shooting smack or an advisor to the Mexican cartels?

PJ Nilaja Patterson, 43, is accused of animal cruelty over killing an iguana. But the 6-foot-3, 165-pound man argues that he was in fear for his life — and that the 3-foot green iguana was the first to resort to violence during their horrific encounter in Lake Worth Beach.

“The vicious animal got the best of Patterson and savagely bit his right arm,” say Patterson’s lawyers. The man went to the hospital and got 22 staples to close the wound caused by the “wild beast.”

Patterson’s tussle with the invasive reptile is thought to be the first time anyone has pursued a stand-your-ground claim over a deadly confrontation with an iguana.

You guys know iguanas drop by my backyard fence now and again, enough times that I have give them names and taken plenty of pics. In all my years here in South Florida, I have to admit I have never seen, read or heard of a case of a rampaging iguana attacking anybody or anything other than fruits. So my question is, what did this guy do to piss off the iguana so much it had to defend itself.  My experience with iguanas, no matter the size is that they take off if you as so much start to approach them.

And dear dumb ass, you need to stop reading the papers and watching TV when it comes to the interpretation and use of the law. You and your lawyer made a claim it lasted as much as a fart in a category 5 hurricane and you are the latest ridicule in a long line of Florida men. Enjoy your time in prison, dumbass.
