You go where you are treated right

Anti-police attitudes and deep cuts to law enforcement budgets in cities run by left-wing governments have driven hundreds of officers from their jobs — and small towns are reaping the benefits.

Beleaguered big-city officers around the country are being welcomed to rural forces, who are thrilled to have seasoned police and don’t share the contempt some urban leaders seem to have for the men and women in blue.

The Portland, Oregon, police department’s assistant chief, for example, left last year amid the summer’s waves of protest to become the police chief in Boise, Idaho.

Multiple officers followed him there, according to a review of exit interview forms obtained by the Oregonian.

Smaller communities reap rewards of urban police exodus spurred by budget cuts and lack of respect

It makes all the sense in the world. Even if the officers have to take a pay cut, they are probably going to locations where the cost of living is significantly lower than the big city that treated them like crap.

I just hope they adapt quickly and realize people will be addressing them as neighbors and not as the enemy so they need to tone down/adapt their attitudes. It should take but six months or so.

See how a martyr story suddenly disappears

Last weekend, the World was forcefully introduced to a British BLM activist named Sasha Johnson. She was shot in the head and her friend/colleagues/handlers were quick to point out she had been getting numerous threats against her life because of his racial work.

Headlines all over the webs:

Black Lives Matter activist Sasha Johnson shot in south-east London – The Washington Post

Sasha Johnson: UK’s Black Lives Matter activist in critical condition after being shot in head in London – CNN

BLM activist Sasha Johnson critically injured in UK shooting – Los Angeles Times (latimes.com)

Who is Sasha Johnson? The ‘fearless political campaigner’ who has faced ‘numerous death threats’ | UK News | Sky News

Of course, the strongly hited but not mentioned idea that it may have been racists white folks who hated her for her work needs no explanation. Who else would go after such a noble young warrior?

Then reality strikes:

And the way it reads now, she was indeed targeted, but by the wrong color people according to the official Narrative.

Sasha will be scrubbed from the news cycle soon and by Friday, not even BLM will acknowledge she exists.

Amazing how that happens.

The movie-famous Venice beach had become an open door warehouse for “homeless” and transients. Crime went up, drug use, vermin could be seen, business shut down because regular folks simply refused to risk themselves to the madness of being socially “just” to the downtrodden.

We are talking probably a billion or two of prime California real state being held hostage by “feelings” that did nothing to fix the original problem and only created a slew more. Apparently the powers that be finally had their asses chewed enough and clean up was mandated not only in Venice Beach but other locations as well.

And amazing what happened after the clean up is done.

There might be a lesson there which I will predict it will be lost soon enough.

Asian Pacific Heritage Month or Oriental hunting season?

An Asian man was thrown onto train tracks inside a station in Queens early Monday morning, and pulled back to safety by other commuters before he could be hit by a train.

Police want to find the man responsible for allegedly shoving the 36-year-old Queens man onto the tracks around 7:45 a.m. at the 21st-Queensbridge Station just as an F train was rolling into the station. Witnesses reportedly told investigators the suspect walked up to the victim, spoke to him before shoving him onto the southbound tracks.

The victim suffered a forehead laceration, but was expected to be OK, police said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital for care.

Asian Man Shoved Onto Subway Tracks Pulled to Safety by Passengers: NYPD

Who knew NYC had that many White Supremacists? something clearly has to be done to address the situation.  (sarcasm off/)

The narrative is not goin well, is it? But it is OK, only 6 more days till the Oriental hunting season the Asian Pacific Heritage Month ends and then the attacks can be shoved under the rug with the rest of the usual crimes.

And they are back: Peru’s Shining Path kills at least 14 ahead of vote

Peru says the militant group responsible for one of Latin America’s deadliest conflicts killed more than a dozen people over the weekend.

On Monday, the justice minister blamed rebels with the Shining Path for a massacre whose victims included children.

“As a result of the terrorist incursion the massacre’s victims were killed with firearms, fire and other blunt objects. 14 people, including 2 children, were burnt.”

Pamphlets were found at the site of the massacre, telling Peruvians not to vote on June 6.

Peru’s Shining Path kills at least 14 ahead of vote

I’ve written about Sendero Luminoso before. They were/are some of the most evil shit stains walking the planet. They murdered up to 70,000 Peruvians back in the day and the refusal by Post Fujimori governments to eradicate them has come back to bit them in the soft fleshy parts.

If only this time they would target politicians, but I doubt they have the balls.

Some experiences are not forgotten.

I was taken a drive with the missus yesterday and we had a car behind us/ following us for some time. I felt it was matching my driving and some old strategies came to mind, first one being take the first left available followed by two more if needed.

The car kept driving straight and still took me a couple of minutes to return “normal.” I had informed the missus of the whole thing and I joked I felt we were in that border scene from the movie Sicario.

If you are not an old reader and wonder about my actions, I should share that back in Venezuela, I was targeted several times for carjacking. All were unsuccessful and one got, shall we say “sporty” but nobody got extra holes (specially me) although one vehicle had to go change the rear windshield.

But it is nice to see my alarm system, old and analog, is still working. And it is also nice to know that contrary to Venezuela, if things do happen to go very south, I have a chance to present my case and not end staying in the pokey several months for “investigative purposes.”
