From Fox News:
A Texas career criminal who was recently released from jail despite being arrested nearly 70 times is accused of fatally stabbing an 80-year-old woman out shopping Saturday, police said.
The suspect, 38-year-old Randy Roszell Lewis, was shot and killed by a responding officer who was flagged down by witnesses at the scene. Police said the man was armed with a 6-inch blade.
Lewis allegedly stabbed 80-year-old Rosalie Cook in the chest as she returned to her car after shopping inside a Walgreens in Houston.
Police said officers were already in the area after receiving calls around 10:15 a.m. about a man matching Lewis’ description demanding money from shoppers at knifepoint by a nearby grocery store.
The cops shot him and killed him but not soon enough, clearly.
I’m wondering how this man could threaten Texans at knife point and not catch a bullet from one of them?
Given the criminal history of the perpetrator, the PBA released a statement.
Randy Lewis should never have been free. Now an innocent woman has been murdered. Everyone deserves better. This is absolutely shameful. https://t.co/hfJ4dqfYxG pic.twitter.com/tqIr9Qlmln

I’d have to agree. What do people expect from career criminals given a “get out of jail free” pass?
This man couldn’t get a gun but he got a knife and killed a grandmother with it while attempting an armed robbery.
The lockdowns are ending but the criminals on COVID furlough are still at large. They need to go out just as much as you.
Stay safe out there.
One would think the politicians that put this policy in place would know better. Then again, they probably did, and are quite happy with the outcome.
