If we assume a 9 am EST to 9 pm PST workday (15 hours), it comes to 172 guns sold every minute that day. Almost 3 guns every second.
And I cannot begin to imagine how much ammo went home with the guns..
I wonder what that total would have been if the NICS system hadn’t been down for several hours due to the overload.

Well I will say this, The American people are not buying all those guns because they feel safe.
