Some people have the good ole imagination running overtime.
Gwen’s Facebook profile shows she lives in Orlando, FL. Obviously a quick check on the news showed nothing of the kind. Plus who were the rich people engaging in a 10 hour battle using rounds costing $2.50 a pop?
I think maybe a neighbor was watching Band of Brothers with the volume a tad high and she got a bit confused.
UPDATE: My reply was deleted and I am not allowed to post at the Brady Facebook page. That the original and very dubious post is still up shows a lot how much they care for the truth.
Yeah…I haven’t heard anything about it here, and I looked at all three new agencies locally. Nothing…nada…zip. There was something about the price of peanut butter soaring though. 😉
Gwen must be from Noo Yawk, and she wants Florida to be just like that goofy place.
Why not just settle this silly debate with a war? Those who like firearms can use them, those who want them gone, don’t get to. Should solve things quick.
*shrug* I like it. Then the ‘gun haters and grabbers’ can have all the peace they want. The Peace of the Grave.
Miguel…me thinks they don’t like you very much..*grin*
FS 790.33 she is wailing about is the state preemption law giving teeth in the way of serious fines to local municipalities creating their own firearm laws. Florida now has basically uniformity. This allows a CCW owner to travel without having to figure out what city or county law applies. So having one code means 10 hour shoot outs I guess.
I just trolled over there. Seems Gwen has posted this claim of massive shootout on other postings. At least one has asked to see the video. I also note in many conversations there is a reference to a posting that is not there. Seems being deleted is a common event. I wonder if I get banned.
my attitude…show me the shooter, actually, physically and unequivocally turning your house holier than a coleander and then I MIGHT be inclinded to give this whining little bitch’s gripes credence. Until that day..SFTU and STFD.
[…] Looks like Miguel had a run in with a Brady supporter on Facebook, where the supporter claimed to be…. Miguel was skeptical of such a claim, since a 10 hour firefight on the streets of Orlando would surely make the papers. Turns out she bought a house near a gun range and doesn’t like the noise. Miguel notes, “It’s called the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, not the Brady Campaign to Prevent Loud Noises.” […]
Is anyone surprised when yet another bout of “Reasoned Discourse” appears?
