I will never be a Yankee.
I needed some hearty food to fuel me up before going out and shoveling snow.
The only acceptable option was homemade buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy.
What I really need is some good sweet tea but I cannot find Luzianne tea in New Hampshire for the life of me.
Arizona Tea has a sweet tea that is really good. You MAY find it too sweet I dont know, but it is good. I was born in Norfolk Va so I know what you are saying bout up heah in th north…
& biscuits and gravy is the BEST.
I make my own sweet tea, but I can’t even find tea bags for sweet ice tea.
I’ve had to resort to ordering my Lipton loose tea leaves from Amazon.
I was born and raised in the most Yankee of New England states, Connecticut. I moved to Florida to go to school in 1988 and have since spent the balance of my life here in the South. I love Connecticut in the spring and fall, but don’t like the winters anymore. Winter in Florida is a gift from the lord, but he makes the summers Hell to balance things out.
I have long loved the food in the South. Biscuits and sausage gravy is like manna from heaven! I Love sweet tea (so sweet it can be crunchy with sugar) and good Southern barbecue. I even developed a taste for grits. My Upper Midwest raised wife insists she ate a grit once. Just one single grit. LOL. Unfortunately, age and dietary restrictions limit me to just occasional reminders of how much I love Biscuits and Gravy.
