Now add to that a “stand your ground” law that says anyone who feels threatened, no matter where he is, can shoot to kill. No longer would he have a legal duty to try to avoid confrontation, much less try to determine if a threat was real. He could shoot first and ask questions later.

Yes, the actual law will be expanded to include the ability to defend yourself anywhere as long as you are being a good citizen. Nowhere in the actual law or proposed changes one can find the annulment of other basic tenets to claim self-defense: Innocence, Imminence, Proportionality and Reasonableness. Yet the Editorial Board at the St. Louis Compost-Dispatcher make it sound as if you will be allowed to kill anybody that looks crossed at you because you got the last cold can of soda from the store. And then we have this last gem:

First, given Missouri’s history with Jim Crow’s laws, specially when applied so Blacks could not be armed, this is just pure hypocrisy. Plus the data from Florida has shown that Blacks are also the biggest beneficiary of SYG. Second, the link they provide does not go to a study by Texas A&M but a paper published by Everytown for Gun Safety, Michael Bloomberg’s pet Gun Control group.

And still I have yet to find one single Legal genius that can explain to me why is it that my life must take a depreciation every time I cross some stupid imaginary legal line: On this side of my home threshold I am golden to defend myself, move over it and I am a hardened criminal that should rot in prison.

There has to be some sort of Gun Control’s Blue Book of Life Values somewhere I can borrow.

In their fanaticism to impose Universal Background Checks, they are playing with the definitions again. They have been beating the drum of private sales being the same as “unlicensed” dealers and now they’ve taken it to the next level: Gun Trafficker.

Mark Kleiman, professor emeritus of public policy at the UCLA School of Public Affairs, says clarifying the definition of a private seller engaged in the gun business is important because a third of all gun sales in the US are not conducted by licensed dealers. But Kleiman believes prosecutors already have a strong case against Rossello—even if Obama had not passed his executive order.

“There is no need to change the law to deal with him,” Kleiman tells me after reviewing the criminal complaint. “This guy was straight up gun trafficking.”

Demonizing is a powerful propaganda tool, but it is also a dangerous one. I really don’t think they know the kind of consequences this kind of games can bring or maybe they just simply don’t care if bodies stack up on their account.  It is not like they are going to be arrested and tried for the lies they spread since they have First Amendment protections…funny how much they like that amendment, but have few regards for the rest of the Bill Of Rights.

But this case also shows something that maybe the author has not realized: Guns and specially the Sten Gun are really easy to make at any half assed shop or garage.

In a video-recorded interview with investigators the same day, Rossello admitted to selling the firearms to the snitch and that the STEN machine guns had been manufactured by his boss’s son, Todd Vanlinda. Rossello added that he and Vanlinda test-fired a STEN in a back area of the Lake Worth headquarters of Vanlinda Iron Works, where he was employed, according to the complaint. He also told investigators he’d seen kits for building firearms inside a concrete shed at Vanlinda’s house.

Vanlinda was arrested later that same day and charged with possession of a machine gun and possession of an unregistered firearm. During a search of his house, agents confiscated a MP-40 fully automatic machine gun that was in a safe on the property’s patio.

Basically more people now know that you can actually build a machine gun with tooling and materials you can buy at any Home Depot, Lowe’d or Ace Hardware Store. You gotta love when a gun control article ends up giving more information for the dissemination of guns than how to curtail them.

So the Opposition has now found out the intent to have silencers moved to Title II guns to regular firearms still subjected to background checks but without the stupid $200 stamp and the Chief LEO approval crap.  I am not into silencers mostly because I do not see advantage of adding length and weight to a gun compensates for the noise reduction, but I will admit that a Ruger 10/22 with integrally silencer barrel does make my wish list.

And as expected, the Opposition is losing its mind about it. Tales of NRA member silently mass murdering school children next to a cop who is not listening to the massacre because the gun is silenced are the norm. And they know of this because of MOVIES! Of that, I am not surprised, but what caught me off guard was a Fudd taking their side:

There is always one asshole who is determined to make it hard for the rest of the people to be left alone to our own devices. You may disagree, but don’t go provide comfort to the enemy who will surely is planning to target you down the road. How stupid can you be?  There are those who are willing to appease the target in the hope it will not eat them.

So with 50 states with Concealed Carry, 45 states with Open Carry, 49 states allow .50 Caliber Mid-Air Plane Destroyer Rifles… where does these people go out on vacation? Do they go visit relatives in other states? A lot of them have to be living in states with laws they claim they would not visit, so how do they go about their lives? Do they even get out of the house?

Maybe now we know why Amazon expanded into supermarket and is preparing the drone fleet: Somebody needs to feed these people!

But remember, we are the ones afraid to go out because we have guns.

Let me get this out-of-the-way: I love Magazines in Digital Content. I inherited the wife’s old Kindle and I am still not sold on E-Books, but magazines make all the sense in the world, specially if you suffer from diminished shelf space syndrome.  The only drawback is that SWAT Magazine does not appear to be available for other than Apple crap.

Now to the main feature: Last night I downloaded a copy of a Gun Magazine that is not one of the old traditional Gen 1.0 ones. As soon as i started reading it,, testosterone started to flow out of my kindle and dripped into the Mexican tile floor which suddenly developed hair and an attitude. The Kindle itself bulked up and was showing muscles while demanding me to drop and give it 50 push ups. Scrolling through, I saw version 2.389 of the ultimate AR capable of downing a mule at 1,200 yards and only costs $3,500 and that is without the $12,000 1x red dot hand made by Goth virgins in a remote shop hidden in an abandoned German WWII bunker.

I also learned how to make a bomb-proof shelter in the desert by using a scorpion claw and spit as tools. And you can actually get water from squeezing rocks but only if you are in such a perfect manly shape, you don’t need a pistol but carry two 10lbs kettlebells instead. And of course you ain’t tactical shit unless you have a 12-pack of silencers for different guns/occasions and matching your latest and greatest tactical fashion… and this year Weasel Brown is all the rage. Basically the mag was Ballistic Playboy: nice to look at the centerfolds, but you know damn well you are never going out on a date with what was in the picture, much less score.

We need a regular newsstand magazine for the regular folks. I need a range report about the latest Savage rifle under $400 and not an extensive write-up about a Holland & Holland T-Rex Killer in 1 Bore. I want to see an article about how to properly maintain a Hi-Point to reduce malfunctions as much as possible, because 99% of us cannot afford a custom-made 1911 with a trigger that can be adjusted to 1.5 ffpu (fairy fart pressure units). And instead of wasting 3 pages in how to distinguish between a grizzly bear print from a cougar and a wild pig, a basic treatise on gang tags and graffiti would be more helpful to avoid getting into trouble.

I am just asking the proper application of common sense and targeting your work for the right people. Your new audience is young and old, female and new retirees that made the decision to take care of their own safety and live in mostly urban/suburban areas where knowing how to build a fire with irish moss comes a distant fortieth.

I have more ideas, but if we get one magazine started and aimed at the new 2.0, I’ll call it a victory for all of us.

This one could have been mostly out of the way last year, but thanks to the efforts of Dudley, his insatiable need to collect funds and gum up the works, did not happen. Now, not only we are not back where we started but took several step backs because the Dems in the legislature are no longer afraid of the Gun vote.

So, I am saying it straight: STOP SENDING HIM MONEY AND VALIDATING HIS ACTIONS!
