After the midterm elections and by the amount of noise generated from Washington’s I-594 by the Opposition, you would have thought we were about to have to turn in our guns and seek forgiveness.

But we are closing the year and find out that a Pew Research Poll shows Americans by a majority are in favor of Gun Rights., something that two years after the Sandy Hook massacre was not supposed to be. And even after their win in Washington State with I-594, the Bloomberg/Watts dynamic duo have little to show for: Congress is now solidly in the hands of Republicans,  many states improved via Death by Thousand Cuts Pro gun laws. Moms Demand 12 days of Bullying Kroger Supermarkets ended up in abject failure and they couldn’t even celebrate their second anniversary of being “created” because an islamo-nut job in Gun Control Australia took hostages at a cafe and the event took over the news and demonstrated once more that stupid gun legislation does little to protect people. Even the News Media seemed to forget about them as the only major Sandy Hook remembrance program did not go for another tirade for Gun Control but as an expose on how little (basically nothing) has been done to take care of those suffering from mental maladies.

And then the news that Texas once again and apparently very seriously is gonna go for Open Carry next year is sending them into fits and seizures.

The broad language and vague definitions of I-594 have given rise to many questions and concerns.

Sheriff-Elect Rob Snaza said “The passage of I-594 has had a significant impact on firearms transfers among law abiding citizens, requiring the majority of personal transfers to be conducted through a licensed firearms dealer. This initiative modified existing law under Revised Code of Washington. The enforcement strategy of our office will be to thoroughly investigate those cases reported to us, and file these cases with the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office when appropriate. As I have previously advised, I am a strong proponent of the second amendment and each of these cases will be considered in regards to the spirit and letter of the law.”
Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer said “The Lewis County Prosecuting Attorney’ Office will not make criminals out of the hardworking citizens of Lewis County. Where I-594 attempts to criminalize every-day activities, I, in the exercise of my prosecutorial discretion, will not charge individuals with these types of violations. At the same time, make no mistake I will hold accountable those who, in violation of this initiative, knowingly put guns in the hands of criminals.

Same as in Colorado and Connecticut, bad laws designed to screw Law Abiding Citizens are being ignored. I have been hearing that the idiocy known as I-594 will be taken to court and challenged with a decent probability of overturning enough of it as to kill it altogether. And as it much of an unnecessary restriction on gun rights for the citizens of Washington State, I-594 is turning out to be a decent lot of ammunition to counter Bloomberg’s next attempt in Nevada and other states. It should not have come to this, but we are mature enough to know we cannot win them all and that if life gives you lemons, you should go ahead and prepare some delicious pork chops on a lemon and brown sugar glaze with steamed taters.

And we keep on fighting.

I don’t know who the gentlemen are other that they are brothers. And they must have some sort of political relevance to be interviewed in C-Span and that the hold opposite views. But when Mom calls and dress them down on National TV, they revert to be 12 years old and going “Mom!”

Two days later, police were called to investigate a second burglary in the community in which a family reported that their computer, some jewelry, a trumpet and a knife collection had been stolen.

But before the police could even finish inspecting the crime scene, they received a call from the Wyatts, who promptly informed them that they had personally apprehended the suspects and were currently holding them at gunpoint.

“They happened to drive by and we seen them drive by and we knew it was them and we stopped them,” Chris Wyatt later explained.

I suck at book reviews, I don’t want to give anything away because I believe you should have the pleasure of discovering the whole thing by yourself.

When Bad People doing bad things make life so miserable that Good People (and young ones to boot) are forced to change life as we know it, some feelings will be hurt and some idiotic decisions by the Bad Guys will be made.  That is the premise of the book.

You’d never suspect it but J.D. is an optimist and the book reflects it. But not because he believes on the best of people, he forgets that there are individuals that need to be thinned out of the herd.

There is a lot of political intrigue in the book and well written. I tend to get annoyed by books with 1,200 twists and turns and conspiracies and contra-conspiracies… we are not that complicated.  J.D. gives you very gripping story without the endless loops that make other books an annoyance. So, go buy one! Available in Amazon right this second.
